This is a women owned and ran small business from a former preschool teacher with an extensive knowledge and passion for early childhood education and development. The pricing is reasonable and they work with programs for financial assistance. The curriculum is age appropriate, fun, and engaging. Cannot express the gratitude and respect I have for Molly and her crew!

We toured them right when they opened and I immediately loved the way it was set up. The first time I saw it was actually before they started any children, and I loved the setup. The sign in system is really easy to use, and they also use KidReports which gives us an update on our boy and when he ate, napped, snacked etc. The price was really reasonable, far better than most places in Gresham-I'm telling you - we initially did it two days a week and we've switched to five days because he loved it so much. The Staff is absolutely the friendliest I've seen, and my son absolutely loves his teacher and everyone who works there. My son is 22months old and since starting has learned to say thank you, yay, do all of the wheels on the bus actions, wash his hands and more. I actually have used three daycare centers at different times for different reasons. This really is my favorite. The people come off as nicer and in many cases more experienced and I've noticed the older children all interact with the toddlers and in a great way. Which anytime you see kids running around toddlers, it's like they have no idea they're there or they're too rough with them. Not here, you can tell they're taught to care and play with others. The building is a good size and their play area is awesome. They have a fancy ceiling to floor game system too that helps learn different things like letters. My wife and I have never felt safer when we dropped our son off. If you're considering looking at them, please do. It'd be a real shame if they didn't have enough kids to stay open. And right now I can almost guarantee they have the resources and openings that they would love your business. Not only do I think they'll earn it when you walk in, they'll keep it every day when you walk out. They're right near the Gresham Vision Center and a building or two before the Gresham Public Library. If you're looking for a daycare center, you'd be silly not to at least take a look or give them a call. -Tiberius's Dad

We have now been at this school for three years and we could not be happier. We left our…read moreneighborhood school mid-year because our son was being bullied and despite numerous conversations with his teacher, the counselor, and the principal little to nothing was done. When I picked our son up from his shadow day at FMES, he said it was the best day of his life. Within a week he was more joyful than he'd ever been at our neighborhood school. Three years later, he has some of the sweetest friends and is the happiest I've ever seen him. This past weekend (end of spring break) he said he was missing school because he is really enjoying math. Our younger son has ADHD and is also thriving. The options and flexibility really work well for him. FMES feels different from the moment you walk through the door. It's a very warm and welcoming community. Having taught special education in public schools for twelves years it was tough for us to make the decision to switch but we could not be happier. The love and care our children receive at FMES protects their innocence and joy, giving them a wonderful childhood.

I'm not a fan of all Montessori pedagogy, but they have such a wonderful blend of taking the best parts, and being flexible where it's not working. The leadership was incredibly thoughtful, patient, and communicative in dealing with the pandemic. I felt respected, heard, and most importantly, that our kid's safety AND education were being put at the forefront. Lastly, the environment is open to all sorts of people. The religious components are opt-in. We were literally in tears of joy after the tour, feeling that we had found a match for our family. Four years later, we couldn't be happier, and now have FOUR kids enrolled. That shows how happy we are!

The director Emily has been with him from day one. She is truly the heartbeat of the school, and we couldn't be more grateful for her. And, from Teacher Lydia to Teacher Cindy to Teacher Sarah, and now Teacher Nicole (and all the others that have helped) he has always been in the best of hands. I've never had to worry or stress. I am always at ease knowing he's treated with kindness and patience and that his days are filled with learning, fun, and friends. Nicole is just amazing, he loves her so much! I can't believe we're on to Kindergarten, a big heartfelt thanks to everyone helping him to be so well prepared for this next adventure.

She is always doing what she can to get answers to parents questions, and if she doesn't know the answer she gets it. Even with the covid restrictions, the staff here have done everything they can to keep the school open and healthy. I am really liking the summer camp program that the pre-k class started last month, Road Trip Summer Adventure. Each week they travel (pretend) to a different state to learn about things that stand out in history, events, or places. It's awesome knowing that they have a curriculum that fits every child's needs of learning and interest.

I'm so grateful I finally made the decision because it's made an even bigger difference than I thought possible! NWRC's team is consistent, conscientious, and detailed. They got to know my son (both through their extensive testing, and also by working so closely with him one on one) and due to their, and his, hard work he finally broke through a number of issues he'd be struggling with when it came to reading. He now reads above grade level and is able to experience more success in other areas of his education as a result of finally having strong reading skills. If you're on the fence, just go ahead and enroll. You absolutely will not regret it.

Specializing in phonemic awareness, The Reading Toolkit can use your child's unique skills to help students strengthen their reading and writing skills, including spelling and pronunciations. Dyslexia is addressed in a multi-sensory program, and no diagnosis is necessary. For many children experiencing difficulties with reading and spelling, the inability to break words down into their component parts (phonemes) prevents them from being able to use phonics. Phonics instruction becomes a series of stumbling blocks instead of tools for successful reading. This program provides those tools in interactive and instructional sessions. If you are looking for an extra boost to your child's education, whether they are falling behind in school or just looking to get ahead of the curve, call The Reading Toolkit today to set up your first appointment.
