Very happy for Spencer, Naren, and their staff on this fantastic new downtown location. Surrounded by public parking lots as well as street parking which makes visiting them all the more easier. And now a whole new vibe with lots of shopping and restaurants right there along State Street. Still a great selection of decks, trucks, and wheels. And we've come to rely on them for a wide selection of hoodies, hats, shoes and socks, and sweatshirts and pants. All very cool and stylish. They are always on top of having the latest shoe designs, and very competitive pricing. Always nice to find something new here at Lighthouse. read more

First time visiting the new location--blown away! It's so spacious and inviting, can't wait to see how it evolves as they settle in more. Always friendly and helpful staff members and a great selection of shoes, boards, etc. This location is conveniently near the paseo Nuevo parking lot which is a big improvement to me since parking was a little scarce at the old location. 10/10 recommend lighthouse for all your skate/shoe/local merch needs! read more

Lighthouse Skateshop - Skate Shops Near Me - Santa Barbara, California

We've been customers of Lighthouse since the beginning. I'm sad they're not down by the skatepark anymore, as a parent & grandparent it was great how all the kids would "bounce" in/out of the shop under watchful eyes. They are all about community. I'll be over in about an hour, I've got Xmas gifts to buy for the twins. Thanks so much read more

Huge thanks to Lighthouse Skateshop for making my son's first skateboarding experience such a positive one! Spencer and Kevin were incredibly patient as they helped my son build his board, try on his gear, and select the perfect stickers from their sizeable collection. They even gave him his first skate lesson in the back of the store. Thank you both for your kindness -- we'll be back! read more

Friendly place, customer service experience was A+. Small store, but handy in a busy touristy area of town.

I stopped by this shop today looking for helmets for my kids. The sales person (didn't get his name) was great helping us find the right fit for my boys. Overall, great with kids! read more

Walked in spontaneously with my group of students yesterday and all the staff were extremely friendly and accommodating to us. This shop is a gem waiting to be discovered by anyone with interest in skating. Walls are covered with beautiful decks and skating gear. They also have a big shoe selection! I was able to find a second hand used board I plan to work on! Now that I found this place I plan to return if my long boards need anything. There is also a vending machine my students happily took advantage of. Will definitely return some day!! read more

We got our daughter her first skateboard here. The staff was all friendly! They spent a lot of time with my daughter helping her pick out the board that best fit her needs and experience level. Tiny with not much in it. But if you're skating at the park across the street and wheels or something they have it.

Seriously, best skate shop ever. Greatest guys who own/work there and who are fantastic role models for the community and just amazing all-around people. We are so lucky to have Lighthouse here in Santa Barbara. read more

This is the kind of skate shop that everyone wishes they had in their own town. I really don't know how they could do a better job. Super friendly and helpful. Good inventory of products. Great location, and has retained that old school skate shop vibe that's been such a staple in skateboarding culture for so long. read more

Came into the shop with a deck that needed grip, trucks, and wheels. I'm probably not the demographic that usually frequents a skate shop, but Spencer and Naren (sp?) we're great and provided us with a great experience. If you're in SB and need anything skate related, skip the corporate stores and the mall and head to Lighthouse. The guys will hook you up and you'll leave happy! read more

This is by far the best skate shop in Santa Barbara every staff member has been incredibly helpful and very nice. Great selection of everything skateboard-related. The owner, Naren is one of the coolest business owners in SB and my three boys have improved their skateboarding due to his one hour weekly skateboarding coaching session. I could write on and on about Naren and the skate shop but simply said, all around best experiences ever! Don't miss out on visiting this shop when in SB. 5 gold stars!! read more

This is the place where I got my first skateboard. Everyone was extremely nice especially a real cool guy named Spencer. I would highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a skateboard or even gear or clothes. There prices are reasonable for everything. read more

I love this skate shop because it has a really good local vibe. It's not like an eggy skate shop where you feel like you shouldn't be there. Naren and Spencer are fantastic. Quality people that opened up an awesome establishment. Support your local skate shop. I do,I love the psychedelic socks that they have. They are so cool! read more

As tourists we stopped in for a quick look as our 7 y/o daughter has been wanting a skateboard for quite sometime. Spencer was very helpful and personable. He was helping some teen girls when we walked in and we could tell this shop cared about their customers. We walked out with new board and wheels. When we got home, I price compared and to my delight we actually got a great deal. Looking forward to returning on our next weekend getaway. read more

Very friendly and knowledgeable sales people, good selection of skate boards. I highly suggest this shop!

I brought my 3 young boys in to buy skateboards. The owners could not have been more stoked to introduce my boys to the skate world. They got them fired up and hooked us up with great boards. Dad even got a board. No "too cool" attitude at this shop. We will be back for all our skateboard needs. Thanks guys!!! read more

Go to place for youth shoes!! Great selection on youth shoes and great customer service! They even had many sales and sizes in all the shoes! The gentleman working at the shop had such a terrific and helpful attitude- he pulled down so many shoes for us and was so patient as my 13 year old tried on several pairs, and discussed the ups and downs of each style. I will be going back to buy shoes here throughout the years for sure! read more

I would drive from Newport Beach any day to grab a deck from these guys and guess what... we did! My kids and I found this Skateshop this evening and we are the ones that of course show up 2 mins to closing.. we looked around and my daughter cldnt make a decision because they have so many boards to choose from so we left because I felt bad that we were there past closing. We walked to my car and then my daughter decided she cld make a quick decision on a board so we went back and the owner was already leaving but he saw us and we said she said she wld be quick.. these guys opened the shop back up for us and didn't rush us.. instead we were given the royal treatment.. literally. I think my son asked to see 50 different kind of wheels while my daughter was deciding on what wheels to put on her board.. an hour later give or take.. my kids are set.. We appreciate you guys so much and we will be back! Thanks for a great experience!! We will say a prayer for " Mom " .. that she gets in the water!! read more

What a fantastic shop! These guys know their business and live their passion which is so rare. Unbelievable selection but the knowledge and customer service is hands down the best I have ever experienced. Whether you are just starting out or need the latest upgrade, this is clearly the place to go in southern and central California. If Spencer is there, have him help you...truly exceptional. read more

Well, this is officially the only skate shop downtown (to my knowledge) skatan, arbor, and powell/peralta all gone. Good news is this is a great shop. I was having a rough time and they hooked me up with some new bearings, so I had to repay the love and write this review. Thanks guys read more

Passed through on a west coast road trip in early March. Walking down the street and my bud was talking about buying a skateboard - I was down. Place was empty mid-afternoon. Exceptional customer service and easy-going, no attitude; surprising, actually, for a skate shop. I didn't care too much for the current apparel and shoe selection but great for decks, and other board components. $153 later, I picked up a board and the staff hooked it up - skate right out the door. I'm looking forward to coming back and perusing their deck inventory. Cheers bra! read more

Like the other reviews convey, excellent customer service. Happy to help you find what you need and hook it up for a great price. Will definitely be giving business to these guys in the future. read more
