Because the only regret we had is not sending our son here sooner…read more --- --- --- We first moved to the area in 2021 and had been sending our son to a Kiddie Academy in Tampa prior to our move. So it was only natural for us to consider sending our son here, but this was a much newer/nicer facility than our old KA, so we ended up opting to send him to a different, cheaper daycare. Unfortunately, this ended up being a classic "you get what you pay for" situation, and we ended up sending him to several different facilities over the next few years. Once he started first grade, we ended up sending him here for after school daycare and he really enjoyed it. It was a significant upgrade from the YMCA-led aftercare that took place in his school's gym. Significant is not strong enough a word: night and day would be a better way to describe it. Things were so structured and calm at KA, compared to the YMCA where it kind of seemed like a free-for-all. And then over the course of the summer between first and second grade, he came here full time and he absolutely loved it. There was not a single day that he complained about going to summer school. He actually complained about NOT being able to go when we were on vacation, which is something I would have never imagined happening in 1,000 years. On his last day, he was close to tears because he was going to miss everyone so much. He loved the teachers, the kids and all of the fun that they had here. There were 1-2 field trips during summer school and they were the highlight of his week. Again, our only wish is that we would have just sent him here from day 1 and not messed around with the other options. The teachers and administrators are all great - we'll miss them too!

When my financial situation changed, I got a nanny for a little while which abruptly ended. Due to not enough room at the time for my twins, I was forced to go to other daycares within the area. I NEVER enrolled my kids in the other daycares for unsatisfactory reasons. I emailed the owner at 3am with my concerns of what I was going through and at the earliest availability I truly needed help. Luckily, someone moved from the area and a spot became available!!! I learned that you get what you pay for and with this daycare you get a happy, healthy, satisfied child along with a peace of mind! This daycare is awesome and I recommend this daycare over any daycare!

We went there from beginning of January to the end of March. I feel we really got to know the owner, Mrs. Joye, and her wonderful staff in that somewhat short amount of time. Our boys got accustomed to the daycare within 2-3 weeks. After that, they really grew close with their teachers. It was always a pleasure to come pick the boys up and find them just full of smiles and playing. We knew they were doing well just based on that. Our boys did go through some sicknesses, of course, but the daycare staff was always patient and understanding. We had to pick them up from work maybe 2 or 3 times max, which is nothing compared to an at-home day care we used prior. They were very good about working with us in using medicines and would not give anything unless we signed in medicines the day of. For infants, they will always give you an activity list which will detail what your child ate, when they peed or pooped, etc. This is really useful to keep track of your child since you can't be there to watch them all day. One extra little bonus is they provide breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We didn't realize what a blessing this was until a few weeks in. We were so used to packing all the food before, but doing away with this left us so much more time and pacing in the mornings. Best of all, we felt our children were learning new things all the time here. Our 2 year old in particular was using words/sentences we had never heard before. He was also getting a better grasp on shapes, colors, and numbers -- something we had been working on with him for a while. All of this is transferring well to the new location in Huntsville. We feel our boys are doing well there too. We definitely miss the awesome ladies in New Waverly, but is better for us to be in Huntsville since we live and work here.

In my experience as a parent I have been extremely grateful to share my son with Mrs. Joye and her teachers. They have continuously supported my family with love and warmth. Over the past few years, through COVid nightmare... and still, with all of the challenges that we face every day. I have always found comfort in knowing that they were going to help me shape my son as he grows. Because of the way they work with him, my son's oral language development is outstanding and he is a thoughtful, vibrant, little boy. He communicates extremely well and he expresses often that he "loves his teachers". As the new year begins, I can't help but thank the staff for showing my son that it does indeed "take a big heart to shape little minds". I often remind him to thank Ms. Joye and his teachers when we leave. And he doesn't hesitate in saying, "Thank you for taking care of me". I wanted to take this moment to do the same. The campus is absolutely beautiful -- surrounded by pine trees, calm, and clean. It's a fully gated property with video cameras, so I always feel confident that my child is safe. Honestly, I wish I could stay there myself all day -- it's that peaceful! The teachers -- Ms. Nada, Ms. Dixie, and Mariah -- are truly amazing. They quickly became our friends. Every single day, they take the time to share how my son is doing. He came from another country, but now he's learning English so fast -- he can count, name colors, and even sings songs at home that he picked up at school. One of my favorite moments is every morning: as soon as we arrive, my son lets go of my hand and runs straight to his friends -- completely forgetting about me. To me, that's the best sign of a truly great place for mu child.

My son trusts the care providers there and he is always happy when I pick him up. I feel safe leaving him there while I am at work all day which is hard enough as it is. I drive an extra forty miles per day just to stay at Busy Barn and the price is awesome as well. Nothing but good things to say!
