I'm looking at resorts on lake Texoma for a place Glenda and I can spend a few days. Lighthouse has lots of cabins, but the only ones I would consider staying in are the ones facing the lake. All the back cabins are quite crowded together. Very little room for privacy, if any at all. The cabins facing the lake are a little farther apart, and appear to be the nicer cabins. I was considering this place till I saw the prices per night. Quite a bit more than the other place I'm considering. The two cabins in the pictures are really nice, and definitely my favorites. But price matters. We'll see! read more

My wife and I love this campground/marina, we've tried them all on the TX side, and west burns is cool when you can get in, but this one is our favorite. It's very peaceful, not a party place, with great views of the water if you're in an RV. We have a travel trailer and couldn't be happier with the set ups, the dump station is nice to have on site as well for departure. We did not expect, and really love their automated outreach when you're there checking in to make sure everything is ok, you can even order firewood, ice, s'mores kits, etc for reasonable prices. We've never had an issue and will continue to book here for many years to come. read more

We have rented a boat from here on the past, and the marina was open until 9pm. The web site where you book the boats does not list the On Season time they are open, it shows Off Season, therefore we didn't know when we booked the boat that they actually closed at 6 pm. We thought we'd have the rental for 5-6 hours, but we were told after paying and signing the paperwork, that the boat had to be back in 2.5 hours. When we explained that it was not advertised that way and had we known we would not have made the reservation. The clerk, who had already taken our payment, shrugged and explained the time they closed again. She told us if we had done a morning rental it would have been 6 hours. Also, the tank wasn't full of gas, but they charged us to fill it up. Overall, in my opinion, not a good way to run a business. read more

Rented Triton 5 in morning. Do not rent this boat! The blue tooth radio does not work. They rented this boat knowing it doesn't work and didn't offer different boat even with several available and I asked for a small discount and was told the radio was not part of operation and they would not discount by supervisor. Very disappointed in this. Otherwise boat worked for what we were doing(swimming and tubing). read more

Booked a boat for 4th of July months in advance. I got a call two days before that the boat we rented was damaged and we were cancelled. I asked if they could cancel a more-recently booked reservation as we had family coming from out of town and I was told that she "would ask a manager" and get back with me. I ended up having to call them back and was told "no" again. I sent an email to the manager and over a week later I've heard NOTHING. I know these things happen but throw me a bone - offer me a discounted rate on another day or SOMETHING, ANYTHING. Book here only if you like disappointing your family and getting absolutely ZERO customer service. We rented a Trifecta tritoon from the great people at Lighthouse. The boat was new, clean, and they documented all the little dings before we boarded. We spent the whole day on the lake and the boat performed great. Extra cup holders everywhere, comfortable seating, and tons of storage. When storms popped up in the afternoon, they called us to be sure we knew and were being safe, The rental process was also a breeze and the return was even easier. Great experience. These people are crooks. Today I went online and booked a Pontoon, when I did it I accidentally booked it for tomorrow, I went in and updated for the correct date July 22. I spoke with an agent there about when we could pick up the boat and after talking with our friends who were going we decided that picking the boat up so late in the day would not work for us. So I went online to cancel the reservation. I got a notice that I cancelled within 3 days of the reservation and they were charging my card and would not refund it and I was getting a voucher. I called up there and spoke with them and they said that had to be incorrect and they would fix it and get my card credited. Then 30 minutes later they called me back and said technically I originally booked it for tomorrow and they were not going to give me my money back, even though I had updated the date to a month out and even had a confirmation email stating that!! I was not happy, I asked for a manager to call me back. When she did, I apologized for getting upset and asked her to do the right thing and refund our money. She refused. These people are trying to steal $500 from us over a technicality. I have never in my life dealt with a company not willing to work with a customer. I have to admit I lost it and the woman hung up on me. I have never been treated so poorly by a company and I have never in my life been so angry. read more

Don't waste your time. Campsites are unlevel and on top of each other. Trashy and not well tended. Eyesores everywhere. Management is not customer minded. Impossible to get into the lake, huge concrete blocks and rocks line the shore. Huge racket on their rentals. Refused to return money. Worst experience I've had camping in my adult life. read more

I would give it 0 if it were a choice. Stayed there 3 years ago and it was good. This time, June 2021: it was horrible. Sewer backed up,twice and 5 people had to deal,with sluggish bathroom at best. My fiancé and I had an amazing time! The customer service was great and was always quick to answer the questions I had. We stayed in Cabin #16 and we were VERY impressed by it. We were welcomed with a very sweet note and the other campers around us were friendly. We rented two kayaks and it was a great experience other than our arms being sore. Expensive cabins but nearly clean and tasteful. The beds are all noisy! Not much for kids to do. Swim at the dirty lake edge. They can play on the rickety swing set. Neither the shower head nor tub drain work. The shower curtain is FULL of mold. We won't be back. read more

If you are thinking of RV camping here you might want to try somewhere else. The management is pretty rude and they act like you are putting them out if you want to change to a different camp site. "Beth" in the office told me that they would have the camp sites ready by 1 for check in. I got there at 1:30 and decided to change to a different location and that clearly blew her mind. We rented a pontoon boat in the morning and I was shocked and irritated to see the extremely worn boat they had reserved for us. One cushion was missing so that seat was unusable. It had obviously been heavily used with no attempt to repair or update the boat. When I asked about switching and using one of the other boats, we were told they were reserved even though they were still there when we returned at 1:30 pm. Check in was fast and efficient. They went over the numerous damages to the boat before we departed. We had fun, but I would definitely look elsewhere to rent. If they would invest a little bit of money to repairing their boats, they would get higher marks from all involved. read more

Me and a group of friends always book a cabin for the weekend and lighthouse is where we stay when we stay on Lake Texoma. Its beautiful and always friendly. Saturday we came back to no AC after being on the water all day. After my frustration with the maintenance guy never showing up or at least telling me that he couldnt get ahold of the AC guy when I called after hours, and we were up until 3 am waiting on someone to show up, the manager went above and beyond for me and my friends Sunday morning to make up for all of us sleeping in our trucks. He was super nice. We will be back and most likely in the same cabin read more

This last week was bad at best. The cabin had sewer issues and was run down and just a dump. This is my second trip to Lighthouse. The first one was much better a few years ago, but now it is just a run down area. Uncomfortable living room furniture, stopped up sewer and poor air conditioning were just a few. The sewer guys were out at other cabins working on sewer as well and when I asked, they said it was a common problem. This is a place to avoid. I know I will from now on. read more

We stay here almost every Memorial Day. We really like the variety of cabins with sizes to meet our gathering size. The grounds are clean and well kept. Great marina. There is a food truck that makes burgers but haven't eaten there. This last trip we took the Island Girl Sunset Cruise which is nice trip to the damn and back. Good for families. read more

Horrible experience with boat rental. Reserved via phone a 20 foot pontoon with a 90 HP engine. Upon arrival the boat was "out of commission" and switched me to a 18 footer with a 60 HP. 7 people on a boat for tubing with 60 HP resulted in a top speed of about 15 mph at best! Spent over an hour each way to the islands with a bunch of unhappy kids on the 4th. Bait and switch here. Meantime, the boat we rented was being driven around the marina! I kept questioning the kids that helped me why I was stuck with this boat and they just acted like they didn't care. Stay away! Never getting my business again. read more

We stayed on a Thursday-Saturday. We had a great time. The cabin was nice and quite large. We were shocked at still how high Lake Texoma was and there was still a lot of flooding. The kids swam were there is usually RV parking! We took a chartered boat ride and it was a lot of fun. At night my husband and I took a dinner cruise which was also fun. We can't wait to go back. Our only problem was two huge groups staying on either side of us. One to the left of us had some huge party Friday night with about 20 cars. When we go back next time we will stay only during the week to hopefully avoid large parting groups since we have small children who go to bed early. read more

I HAVE RENTED 3 TIMES WITH THIS COMPANY, NEVER AGAIN. Very terrible experience.. I guess they are looking for a covid comeback, our group rented a tritoon boat for the day. The boat was 4months old so a very new boat. We drive the boat for 30 minutes headed to our destination before a steering cable broke. Obviously if you look at the cables on a boat motor it would be almost impossible to self inflict damages even for any object to hit these cables and break them. We were broke down all day 11am-6pm. They brought a tug boat to bring us to the docks later on during the day as they attempted to fix the boat. I check my account and not only did they charge for rental fee, but they charged a pet fee (no pets were on this boat) and charges (including deposit) for almost two thousand dollars. They deemed it all our fault (go figure) and provided no evidence except 3 large charges on my account The manager or (apparent owner) was nothing but unhelpful of the circumstance..they never provided an itemized receipt of these "damages" nor sent any physical evidence that a dog was on the boat. IT TOOK 3 WEEKS to even get a response as I talked to numerous random young employees. They still could not provide evidence and I was threatened with more charges to my account. I am now fighting these ridiculous charges. PLEASE BE AWARE!! read more

We went on a dinner cruise with 3 kids on the island girl double decker boat to watch fireworks this past weekend and it was AMAZING. The staff were so helpful and the food was delicious. We will be going back I am SURE. It was worth every penny!!! read more

What a load of garbage. We reserved a pontoon boat for the fourth of July and drove an hour and a half from Dallas to get here. When we show up they tell us that the boat reserved for us is broken and they only have one more pontoon to give out for the day. Um, so why did we not get a call about this before? Also why did two other parties that came in after us get on other pontoon boats that should have gone to us considering we had arrived before them. We go out to look at this "new" boat which is easily older than me, smaller, has cobwebs all over it, dirtier than anything I've seen in my life, and has nearly all of the carpeting torn up. Expecting that this boat would be close to half the price of our original, they tell us "sorry, it's still $350 for half a day". Not only is it a smaller, older boat, but it also has such a bad motor that it can't pull the raft that we also rented from them. We understood that things happen and boats break down, but to not notify the client in advance or offer a discount to a clearly worse boat, when it is clearly your problem is completely unprofessional. Okay thanks for ruining our holiday, let's just get our money back for the deposit. Nope! They tell us it's non-refundable but they will have to talk to their manager and see if he may make an exception. I highly advise that nobody else rents a boat from this horrible company. read more

We rented a pontoon boat on July 5th, boat number 13. We booked the morning slot and parking was easy as was checkin. The boat was really beat up. Tears in most of the upholstery, cobwebs, and a bent fin at water level. They do a checklist so they do acknowledge all the issues ahead of time. So we're just about out of the marina when we notice the fuel is at about 1/4 of a tank. Called and got VM but we headed back for a fill up. Forgot to put fuel check on the list...both parties fault. They said they thought it had been filled up. So fill up and we're on our way. We did get some extra time as this caused quite a delay. We rented a tube too which was fun, even though the rope was a couple of them tied together. Unfortunately the bent fin caused quite a spray at any kind of a decent speed and made the left side of the boat unusable. Unless, you like getting hit in the face with a firehose. It really soaked everything. We had a great time despite the poor conditioned boat but would probably hesitate to use them in the future. They had a couple new boats just sitting there and I guess you have to know to reserve the good ones? When we mentioned these issues at checkout, we were met with "Oh"... I would recommend using if you know to ask for the new boats. And check the fuel.... :) read more

Please do not rent a boat from this marina. Me and my extended family had reserved a pontoon for the Fourth of July at the very beginning of May. It wasn't until only two days before the fourth, while we were literally at the grocery store buying food and supplies for the boat, when the marina called telling us that our boat had been damaged and our reservation was canceled. I understand that there is nothing that management could do to fix the boat, no magic wand they could wave to make it usable, but what really ticked us off is how they didn't do anything to diffuse the situation. We asked why we were getting ours canceled when people who reserved boats after us were going to be on their merry way and get to use their boat. All they said was, "Well, someone's going to have to be unhappy in this situation." We had family coming from all across the state for this, we had been planning for months to finally meet up and have fun together. And this marina did absolutely nothing to help make this situation better. A couple days after our cancelation, we contacted the manager via email and asked if we could be given a rebate of some sorts (maybe another day out on the lake at a discounted price) and over a week later, we have heard absolutely nothing from them. Do your research and find a more reputable marina than this one. It saddens me to imagine this happening to another family. read more

We stayed at the resort from Thursday night thru Sunday at noon. We had a great time! The entire grounds were kept neat and every employee we came into contact with was polite and helpful. The only complaints I have are as follows: when we arrived the water to our cabin was off, so I went to the office to find out what was going on. I was told that a water main had broken, and that the water was expected to be back on within the hour. Well, 5 hours later and still no water, I called the emergency after hours # to find out an estimate on when the water would be back on. Turns out that our cabin was "overlooked", every other cabin had water right when I was originally told. Needless to say that was annoying. I paid extra for wifi for my 2 kids when we were in the cabin, since it isn't offered in the cabin rental. I had to call the office, and they had to call tech support to get it to work.....and then it was sllllloooow. I don't really think it's worth the extra $ for it. Having said all that, we had a great mini vacation, and will mostly likely come back for another one here in the future. read more

This review is for the boat ramps only. We found the Boat ramps to be pretty good but the parking lot is just a big gravel hole. Signs to boat ramps are not clear. Could not find the main office. And worst of all, they have no courtesy docks whatsoever by the boat ramps. My hubby and I stayed in the 2 person lakeside cabin. It is a two-day rental. There's plenty of room but some things you may want to consider. There's no paper towels or Kleenex. No microwave. We were given a couple of coupons, one which was for renting kayaks. It worked out great for us! All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful!
