This company is very unprofessional and running scams. I identified a property they had listed…read moreright after it posted. It was in my neighbor hood and I wanted to try and rent it. after contacting the company, they told me they only take investment of $20 in a money order upfront along with the application. I did what they asked even thought every single person I consulted with said it was a scam and you should never pay anything up front. I dropped off my application and money order, I verified the security check via email and received an invitation to see the property. iI asked for a couple dates and times on the following Sat - was told they don't work weekends, asked for Friday afternoon ( two days after I submitted and 1 day after the invitation to view property) I was told they were too busy but the following week was wide open, I sent back a not telling them to send me three times on Monday they could show me the property and I would once again accommodate them and pick a time that was accommodating them. I asked for them to send me more picture them since noe of them showed signs of a refrigerator. I got a nasty note telling me I was rude and good luck with my rental search - OMG It was a scam all along.. This company should not be in the rental business or management business. They have probably stole nmy identity as well. HORRIBLE Service Delivery and honesty - DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THEM THEY TOOK MONEY in the form of a Cashiers Check. - a PICTURE OF MY ID texted to propertymanager@updegraffgroup.com- AN APPLICATION and PAYSTUBS - Handed in at the desk of their downtown office located at 100 Liberty pole way - all prior to SHOWING ME THE RENTAL. I was asked via text if I wanted to see the listing, I sent back a yes and then all the mess above occured. I AM MORE THAN QUALIFIED AND THEY ARE FULL of EXCUSES or Completely Ignorant on CUSTOMER SERVICE AND HOW COMPETITIVE AND TIMELY the RENTAL MARKET is, This is just a horrible example of customer service and honesty DO NOT DO BUSINESS with THESE PEOPLE. YOU SHOULD NEVER GIVE MONEY UP FRONT for ANYONE. I FEEL BAD if the listing is LEGIT the Property owners are getting the shaft. The good news is I received 5 housing offers this weekend all because they were slow un-helpful and dishonest. I wanted that location but I certainly wouldn't trust them going forward. I make 3 times of what is needed to afford the property and because my credit score was a little low I was denied. I went through a divorce and explained that and now, getting back on my feet.
