The strawberries and tomatoes were delectably sweet and sour. - The farm is big enough to enjoy. No long lines. Pay everything including the parking fee at the end. Cons - Driving there, you may notice a couple CLOSED (on Sundays) signs. Turns out that's for the same-address Nursery. The U-Pick Farm's still open. I was about to turn back. lol - Only one porta potty. So if you're desperate and it's occupied... don't think about doing a fertilizing favor. - The sink by the porta potty is small and button-activated, so that's two flaws: 1) you need to touch the frequent-contact button as you wash your hands, which keeps your hand dirty, and 2) your knuckles rub against the dirty sink basin. - You can buy some of these cheaper at the local grocery store. So if you think about it, you come to the farm to pay MORE to do the work FOR them. It's funny. But yes, you're paying for the fun, the fruits' freshness, and the experience. - Kind of a long drive. Expect total 1-2 hr commute. You may want to bring an ice box. Neutral - Watermelon was refreshing, but the red/white ratio was not as big as I'd like. - The fruits are smaller than at the grocery store, but that's likely because they're natural and non-GMO. That is, the store's fruits are often bigger cuz they're genetically modified. - Most of the fruit/veg rows are labeled, but a few weren't, or weren't clearly labeled. - Too bad the corn wasn't in season.

It is still on Wednesdays from 4-8 pm. Parking is right on the lot, easily accessible, and you can use the clean restrooms in the building immediately next to the stands. Thank goodness for that. Nobody wants to use a porta-potty. The Mediterranean dips are still there, so are the yummy tamales, roasted corn and produce. They do have additional vendors that sell Mexican food, kettle corn, noodles, amongst other things. Many if not all of the vendors take electronic payment. Some probably take cash but I'm not positive on that. The day we went, there was an instrumentalist that played off to the side which was nice. Live music is always welcome. This Farmers market is not bad at all. I've been to slightly bigger but they have definitely grown since they initially opened. It's good to see the community coming together in support of one another. Our family looks forward to Wednesdays at the park. If you have never been, you really should go visit soon.

Today I took my friends and nieces to pick strawberries. I made an online reservation for…read morestrawberry picking, and before check out, the system showed a message asking if we wanted to add blackberry picking for an additional $7.50. Since my friends and I wanted to have the experience of picking blackberries as well, we each paid the extra $7.50. However, when we arrived at the farm, the staff member was very rude and told us there were no blackberries available for picking. Instead, they gave us two boxes to pick more strawberries instead of blackberries. My group felt very disappointed about what happened today, and we wonder why the farm would still offer blackberry picking in the online booking system and charge extra for it when they were not prepared to provide it. But that's okay -- my family will not be returning to this farm again.

I chose Ingardia because they were the biggest. After a few months, I realized I had made a mistake as Prices were extremely inconsistent and I received terrible service. As I was impatiently waiting for a late delivery from Ingardia, a North South truck drove by. I wrote down the phone number off the truck. I called and spoke with Antonio and asked if he could give me pricing on my produce items. He asked me what led me to seek a new vendor and I told him that the order that I had placed for today was two hours late and I was unable to contact anyone for an update because it was a Saturday. I was desperate for lettuce. Within 20 minutes he had sent one of his drivers with a case of lettuce and I was able to open on time. I have been doing business with him ever since. His drivers are so friendly and willing to do anything to be of help. He allows you to order by text. If you get him the order between 7:00 and 8:00 AM, he sends the order the same day!!!!!!! Yesterday we had product that had a great yield but did not provide heads that were perfect for lettuce wraps. I let him know around 10:30am. He told me he was getting a new batch that afternoon.I placed a new order and I asked him if I could come the following day and pick up a case of the new product expecting the balance to come later that day. This morning when I got to my restaurant at 4am the new lettuce was already in my walkin as they delivered my order late yesterday! 32 years in the business and this company gives BEST SERVICE EVER!!!! along with honest pricing and equally important they stand behind everything they send. For someone who generally doesn't eat much meat; one would be shocked to learn that my favorite…read morego-to snack is jerky. Beef, venison, turkey... I love it all! I just love cured meats! On the road, at home, doesn't matter where... I love me some jerky, baby! To say the least, I was quite overjoyed when I happened to come across Gus's Fresh Jerky in San Clemente. Let's explore... Gus's Fresh Jerky originated its jerky roots where most great jerky spots begin: on a freeway catering to the road warriors. Gus's has since expanded to two more locations (family-run by the daughter who hopes to takes over all the stores) with one holding real estate on the main shopping/dining strip of Avenida del Mar in San Clemente. It is pretty much a requirement for Angelinos to make a pit stop in San Clemente when heading to San Diego or back; which is exactly what I did when I left the City of Angels to spend a weekend in San Diego for my 41st birthday. While searching for a brunch spot; I noticed the Gus's Jerky signage and carelessly/unsafely ran across the street because I was so excited! Even though Gus's Fresh Jerky isn't large in terms of square footage; it has a little bit of everything in terms of provisions: the jerky of course, jams, honeys, crackers/snack mixes, sweets; and even cowboy hats and t-shirts. It's basically the wild wild west to a T. Upon entering, we were immediately welcomed by a female associate who was giving away seasonal jerky samples (apple pie flavor, pumpkin) alongside some regulars like garlic and spicy varietals. I can vouch that Gus's artisanal jerky is indeed satisfying in terms of selection: the flavors are unique and NOT run of the mill. This goes for the variety of other goods, as well. Gus's is simply fun to browse. But a warning: these are NOT cheap! The jerky ran $20! Although all jerky nowadays even a standard Jack Links at the super market is expensive. There was no way I could leave without making a purchase, despite the prices, so we purchased some garlic jerky and a dried cracker snack mix. Jerky tends to come in two 'styles': dry and wet. Gus's Fresh Jerky features both but I prefer wet which is exactly their Garlic jerky. I liked the jerky well enough and it did have garlic flavor -- it was too overly salty. Not bad but just not the best for $20. The main problem was the cracker mix. It was terrible and tasted very stale. I am not talking, "It is dehydrated so supposed to be dry". I'm talking we agreed it was stale tasting. We we already back on the road before we tried it so couldn't go back to exchange or return or whatever their policy would accommodate. Quite a bummer. A side note in this political climate: Gus's Fresh Jerky featured a display in their front window promoting the now-deceased Charlie Kirk. I won't say more here in terms of a political discourse as Yelp is NOT the place for such a debate and you decide what businesses you do or do not patron; but I have a right to mention it being in the display window the same way that Gus's has the right to support whomever they please. Gus's is 'cute' in terms of offerings and will probably satisfy your jerky cravings but it is a bit too salty and the cracker snack mix was stale. Just a bit of a let down based on its gourmet price point. But overall, it is solid enough if you choose to visit this business.

Every time I am at the 3:16 Bakery Shop everything looks very good but I always end up getting a honey bran muffin.
