My husband and I were totally surprised when he started counting numbers in Japanese! We've had a really positive experience at Lightbridge Academy in Millburn, NJ for the past two years. Our son loves going to "school" and he has learned SO much, especially this past year in the preschool program. The program/curriculum continues to exceed our expectations and our son has grown so much socially, emotionally and developmentally. We are so incredibly grateful for our lead teacher, Miss Roy, and the amazing care she has demonstrated this past year ensuring our son (who has a severe peanut allergy) is able to participate in the special activities each week with safe food options. Miss Roy is a patient, loving and thoughtful presence in our son's life (& ours!) and we're also grateful to have wonderful Assistant Teachers (special thanks to Miss Chesania, Miss Marie, Miss Tiffany and Miss Karina) working alongside of and learning from Miss Roy. Miss Elizabeth, the Director, has also been such a valuable part of our experience at Lightbridge. She always has our children's safety and best interests in mind and she is someone I've grown to trust. I appreciate that I always know I can pop in the office anytime I have a question or want to bounce an idea around. She knows our son well and seeing him get excited to stop in the office to say hi to Miss Elizabeth and Miss Nazo (the Assistant Director) is the best sign of how comfortable and excited he is to be there. And, on the inevitable days when he may be a bit shy or slow to kickstart his day, everyone really helps with making the transition at drop-off as smooth as possible. You can't pick a better place for your child. As a new mom I was so worried about leaving my son with anyone, but I couldn't have picked a better place than Lightbridge in Millburn. The teachers and the administration are so dedicated and so wonderful. It's why my daughter is also enrolled. The office staff made up of Ms. Nazo and Ms. Elizabeth is the best. Director Elizabeth Freeman is AMAZING- first one in, last one out. She's hands on, warm, and always approachable. The same can be said about Ms. Nazo. Her passion and dedication are evident in her daily interactions with the kids and staff. Shout out to all the teachers, honestly too many to name. They are all fantastic and so great with the kids, whether they are in the same class or not. We have been sending our children to Lightbridge Academy in Millburn for 4 years. We made the best decision to entrust our children to the wonderful teachers and amazing Director (Ms. Elizabeth). Ms. Elizabeth is a wonderful leader with true care for the children and families! She is so organized, kind, and always thinking of the next thing to do for the school! I confidently vote Ms. Elizabeth as Director of the Year! Along with the dedicated staff, every day at LB is an adventure for the kids! Parents can also trust that their children are in great care! This school provides amazing academic and life skill teaching, and we are so thankful. My son is overly prepared to enter Kindergarten, and much of that is thanks to all the teaching going on at LB. My 3 year old is coming home with new information every day! One of the many wonderful teachers at LB is Mrs. Roy! Along with her amazing teaching, she always has a smile on her face! We absolutely love lightbridge academy of millburn and can't imagine our son at another school. Not only does he enjoy going there but the staff put great care into their work, are communicative when there are changes to his routine or issues, and teach him things such as how to stand and walk on his own, clapping, and independent eating. The Director, Ms. Elizabeth, is so helpful and has bent over backwards to assist us during challenging times. She is very involved with each of the classes and treats the kids as if they were her own. read more

A someone who works at the Millburn Location for Lightbridge Academy in Millburn New Jersey for almost a year and a half I have to say that Elizabeth Freeman is not just an amazing director for our center but also a genuine, loving, compassionate and kind human being who treats all her staff with respect and every parent and child with the same. She makes us laugh and also keeps us motivated and she is also one of the only people in my life to show me that's I am valuable and worthy of respect and worthy of a decent future. I would also like to add that Ms. Royanda as a lead teacher is always smiling, always trying to make people happy, and always doing her best to but everyone else in her care at work above herself. We are so appreciative of the awesome folks who teach and lead at LBA Millburn. I would highly recommend it to any parent looking for daycare for their child. The communication from Ms. Elizabeth, the director, is consistent and clear. She is kind but also firm, and she truly cares about the children. The technology that the center employs keeps me up to date on all of my child's activities and progress. And most importantly, the creative, generous, and loving teachers are absolutely the best. Lightbridge is amazing! My grandson is three years old and has learned an incredible amount there. He can read and write his name already; matches upper and lower case letters and many other academics. As a teacher in an elementary school myself I can tell you that those three year old students at Lightbridge are far surpassing what other kindergarten students are already learning. Additionally, he loves doing sign language and is speaking Spanish very naturally in our home setting. Recently he told my granddaughter to sientente and when I asked him if he knew what it meant he said yes. I'm telling her to sit down but she just won't listen. lol. I absolutely love this daycare. The teachers are amazing with my daughter. She crazy about them. They keep me updated with her activities and send pictures. They even allow me to watch live footage of my daughter through out the day so I never have to wonder how her day is going. Every time I check the app to watch the live footage I see her teachers are so active with the children and can tell they really love their job. Called this center 3 times in the morning and left 1 voicemail to inquire about possible enrollment for my child . Since previous reviews mentioned that it is hard to get in touch with them, I tried once more in the afternoon and they finally answered and I was told by someone in the office that this school goes up to pre-k and that they are full for a year. I thought this was odd because I was told by an associate of mine about the school and that they do have a kindergarten class I can possibly enroll my son in and later confirmed this though the website . Anyways, I call back again to confirm this because I thought maybe this is someone new in the office and she doesn't know. The same person answered and said she wants to know who told me that there is a kindergarten class and since she had such horrible attitude I just decided to hang up. I then noticed that I was left this rude message threatening me with the police . Not only that, in the voicemail she lies and says that I was inquiring about children in the center when I only asked if they offered a kindergarten class. I was interested in this center because it is close to home .Needless to say I'm glad this occurred and that my child won't be attending a place like this . Do not call more than once if you happen to be interested because you will be threatened with the police ! read more

They spend a lot of quality time learning about my son and finding educational goals for him. We have a great rapport with the front desk and they talk to me and are proactive in our childcare. They have done a great job forming the curriculum and keeping the children engaged all day. I am always pleasantly surprised by the great behavior I witness in the room.
