He broke a very...VERY...old chair I brought to him to reupholster. He only needed to replace the fabric on the seat since the rest of the chair, besides the backing, is all wood (and the backing was in perfect condition). Broke the wooden frame completely through, and then CHARGED ME FOR THE REPAIR that HE caused. The total bill was almost $2000, nowhere near the original estimated price, even INCLUDING the cost for repairing the damage he induced. The cost isn't even the issue. I would pay three times as much to give someone else business than go to Gozzo again. The lack of honor, integrity, and care for genuine customers is what leaves me so unsettled. Choose any business but this one.

While the first customer service rep I spoke with a few months back was knowledgeable, but perhaps not the friendliest, I coordinated with Laura? this month to schedule the cleaning. She was very friendly, helpful and organized; kindof reminded me of a talkative aunt. They quote your price up front (I had cleaning and spray deodorizer done, so it came out to under $200 for the size and type of rug I have) and give you a discount if you want to drop off/pick up the rug yourself at their Springfield location. We had pick-up and delivery scheduled instead. They appear to send the van out on Tuesdays only (turn-around time was a week), but Laura called the day before to give you a two-hour window. The delivery service staff was on-time, professional and not-creepy (a bonus). They delivered the rug back wrapped well in protective paper. Overall, excellent cleaning job. I would use their services again.

First of all, this is not the formally known, Carl's appliance. This company was bought out after…read morepoor Carl passed away in February 2019. The new owners definitely did not provide the same service. When I booked my service,, I asked them if there was any way I could be put down for the first or second stop of the day. I needed to go to work, and it was still a few days away. They told me that was not a problem. The service technician did not show up until 12:40 PM! The first time I called at 9:30, the lady on the phone made no apologies; she basically said "that's the way it is". I understand when you're working with a time window, customers may ask to be put first, but all they had to say was no we cannot do that. Instead they told me they could when obviously they had no intention of doing that. I don't appreciate getting. reprimanded from my boss about a dishwasher repair. The technician, Brian, arrived and was pleasant. The reason for my service, was my dishwasher was not draining. I explained this to the office when I booked my service call. Brian took off the drain hose first. When he did that there was a very big clog at the end of the drain hose. I saw that and said, "Could that be the reason why it's not draining?" He said "I'm not sure" It seem to me this was an easy fix. He proceeded to take the floor plate off of the dishwasher and unscrew it from the countertop. He turned the dishwasher on, said it sounded loud. I told him that was normal for this dishwasher. He did not try to run a cycle to see if unclogging the drain hose would solve the issue. Instead, he quoted me almost $300 to change the drain hose and install a new drain pump. He reconnected the drain hose to make sure there was no leaks, so I could run my garbage disposal. My drain hose is only a couple years old because I just got a new garbage disposal. I was surprised he did not have parts in his truck. He said he would have to come back another day. He said he only had Whirlpool parts even though they asked me the brand of my dishwasher on the phone and it seems to me that's a common part to have to replace. He did not replace the screws that he removed. Once he left, I ran a cycle through, and it worked! Back to normal! I saved myself over $300 for a repair that I did not need. If I hadn't seen that clog myself I would have just believed him and spent way more money than I needed to. Seems like a dishonest practice to me. Make your own judgments, but I will not be using them again.
