Light On Anxiety offers evidence-based, efficient, effective and action-oriented treatment for anxiety, OCD, stress and related disorders. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, psychiatric medication management and neuropsychological testing are our core services offered to children, adolescents and adults, both in-person and via telehealth.
Our focus areas include conditions such as OCD, PTSD, panic disorder, agoraphobia, social anxiety disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, specific phobias, separation anxiety disorder, compulsive skin picking, and trichotillomania. We utilize empirically-supported practices and always incorporate the latest advancements in the treatment of anxiety and related disorders.

History
Established in 2010.
Light On Anxiety was developed by Dr. Debra Kissen to create a place where information on the most effective treatment for anxiety disorders can be obtained and the shame of living with anxiety can be lifted. Anxiety grows in the dark and recedes in the bright light of acceptance and openness. The key to moving past anxiety is to move through anxiety. This is by definition not a pleasant journey. But it is powerfully transformational, as freedom can be found on the other side. Light On Anxiety is here to be your partner and guide, as you move past anxiety and into valued living.
Meet the Business Owner: Dr. Debra K.
Dr. Debra Kissen is a licensed clinical psychologist and the CEO and founder of Light On Anxiety Treatment Centers. With a passion for making evidence-based mental health care accessible, she has dedicated her career to helping clients effectively manage anxiety, stress, and related disorders through Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). Dr. Kissen is an internationally recognized speaker and author, committed to translating clinical research into practical tools for her clients and the broader community. She has co-authored several books and regularly shares insights on strategies to rewire anxious thinking patterns, cultivate resilience, and improve overall well-being.
Dr. Kissen often serves as a media psychologist and is available for press inquiries and strives to further the dissemination of empirically-supported treatment information by offering user-friendly quotes and easy to understand, practical tips and solutions to help mental health consumers move past stress and anxiety.
