The teachers and director foster the children's positive feelings of high self-esteem in order to help them overcome any difficulties they may face after the pre-school. As parents, we really appreciate this approach. The teachers' insights into the children's personalities show how much they care about what they are doing. We feel strongly that this is a great school for our child who indicates to us numerous times that she loves the school.

Note: I met a former board member that knows the situation well, and she said, "Ronnie is bankrupting the nursery to support her lifestyle." Explains why every week she was on vacation in California or on some international adventure. 2) The energy is HORRIBLE esp. if you are not donating to all of their programs. They won't even greet your child when you arrive with him/her. The teachers all look exhausted, unhappy and annoyed. And they are quick to tell you what they think of every detail of your child's abilities -- mostly negative. 3.) They charge a HUGE deposit (no other preschool in the area charges like this), and BEWARE of the contract. We lost several thousand dollars for taking our son out early. It's insane. 4.) It is so tiny that in the winter the kids are all huddled together in a small space -- ALL DAY. A MUCH BETTER OPTION: World Cup Nursery School. Amazing, sweet, welcoming and your child actually learns something! Large facility as well. Plenty of room for kids to exert energy!

The entire staff is simply amazing--always radiating warmth and positivity, and genuinely dedicated to helping each child grow in the most loving and supportive way possible. You can feel that everyone there truly cares about every single family, always going the extra mile to ensure the best experience for the kids. The variety of programs and options is fantastic. The enrichment classes, especially the science program, were a huge hit for both of my kids. Both of my kids also took gymnastics classes there, which were always a highlight of the week, keeping the kids active and excited to go to school every day (and the staff will bring the kids over so it's one less place they needed to be driven). World Cup is more than just a preschool; it is a community where they treat you like family. If you want a place where your children will be cared for, inspired, and supported in every possible way, look no further. World Cup is the best!

This was a few months into the school year, so I set out to find a school ASAP. I toured two others in the area, most of the schools I tried were already filled. Luckily I was able to get a hold of Ester who is the owner, and runs the school. I think upon hearing my situation, she took sympathy on my plight, and was able to get my son in. For that alone I will forever be indebted to her, but also for creating this incredible environment for every child that is lucky enough to attend school here. My son has thrived here, has made some great friends, and the parents are all great too. It is family run, and some of her kids work there, or have worked there. The staff is excellent too. They're all just so sweet and kind, the children and parents love them. They have chickens, two baby sheep, and a tractor to go for rides on. They're very big on outdoor play which I really LOVE - no matter what the conditions are (sans wind). They do sports in the morning to get the kids going, and they love it. The teachers make home cooked meals for breakfast and lunch every day (it is a nut free environment). Not having to think about what I am making my son for breakfast, snack, or lunch five days a week is a life saver. It also helps knowing its homemade and healthy. It is truly a remarkable place. They're also up to date on the times with everything they do there from the books, the toys, to activities and even their app for the school - Brightwheel. It gives you updates, pics, and videos of your child's day to day school life. You can message the school within the app and vice versa. This school is a magical place, and if you are ever able to send your child here, consider yourself hitting the preschool jackpot. My son literally asks me to go to school on some days when he is not there. It's that good!

I am so glad I didn't assume that a daycare model pre-school wouldn't be as good! . I don't know how he could have learned any more over the past 18 months -- he is reading, speaks some Spanish, has learned great social skills and how to be a good friend, etc. And he eats the daily homemade food, trying all kinds of food he won't try at home. Coming from NYC, we never thought we'd end up at a family owned daycare, but we could not be happier we found CKS. The director/owner is wonderful, and her team a mix of her family (son and husband), as welll as fabulous, warm teachers who seem to really WANT to be teachers and are educated as such. My son is very ready for Kindergarden!! And for working parents, other than 2 weeks in the summer and a week at Christmas, this school is always open -- even during crazy snowstorms this year, they were open, allowing us to work when we needed to.

In the end, it not only wasted our time and thousands of dollars, but most distressing, we got stuck with a nanny who made us and our daughter deeply unhappy for several months. My husband and I were trying to secure a nanny, and the first that we hired through Family Helpers had misled us on a few critical items. It turned out the nanny did NOT want to work with a newborn, showed up reeking of cigarettes, and was mean to our daughter. We asked Family Helpers to send us more candidates. Family Helpers repeatedly sent us candidates who could not meet our scheduling or budget needs. In short: * Family Helpers' vetting failed as it sent us a nanny unwilling to work with 2 kids * Family Helpers' vetting failed as it sent us a candidate unwilling to work within our discussed budget (i.e., less than $25/hour) * FamilyHelpers' vetting failed as it sent us a candidate unwilling to work the hours that we stated we were looking for * FamilyHelpers' vetting failed as it recommended a nanny who could not detect something was off when our daughter, who she had gotten to know over 8 weeks, lay on the couch for hours with a very high fever. Additionally, we were frustrated at Family Helper's guidance to increase our budget to $25/hr, which is 25%-33% more than peers using Family Helpers service, what several strong candidates we evaluated were willing to accept, or what we see online. Even more hurtful, Family Helpers blamed us for not being clear about the hours / pay, even when faced with email evidence to the contrary. After weeks and weeks of no good candidates, Family Helpers audaciously recommended we simply fire the current (bad) nanny, with no coverage at all. I was flabbergasted--what kind of plan was this, for two working parents? In the end, we found a few wonderful nannies through friends. My husband and I requested a substantial refund given Family Helpers failed to send vetted candidates that met our criteria and we paid $1,600 severance to one of their nannies, but Family Helpers refused. Family Helpers refunded us 50% of our fee, whereas we thought 95% would have been appropriate. I am a big supporter of local businesses, but I am a bigger advocate for the parents and families in my community. It is for this reason I share our recent experience with Family Helpers.

We were informed that Susan was available and reliable as a resource .... we found this to be untrue. Susan was always out of the office and the information she shared with us and the referrals was incongruous. Her nannies were extremely inexperienced and they were requesting a salary comensurate with an experienced well trained nanny. I would never recommend Family Helpers to help find someone to care for the most treasured people in the world to us, our children. In addition, Susan charges a consultation fee and their consultation services were a falasy!! Everything Susan said during her limited "consultation" did not match the qualities the nannies portrayed or the expectations the nannies had during the interview!! Run as fast as you can!!!
