We've been using Lifestyle Meals for over a month now and are really happy. We've tried both the sports meals and the regular meals, just to compare services. Average calories for the sports meals are 1400/day. For the regular it's around 1300/day. Both give you flexibility for enjoying a beer, or tossing a salad to have on the side or perhaps a light dessert. That's a real winner. Now not every meal is going to please every taste. If you expect that, you should hire a personal chef to customize everything in your home (for a far higher price tag) or cook your own food. This is a perfect system for us - two very busy professionals who want convenience Monday-Friday without worrying about calorie-laden meals. The food is tasty and filling. Some items I wouldn't normally make, but I'm not making the food - so who cares? Plus Chris is great to adjust what he supplies if there's something you truly don't like. None of the food is prepared with salt, another huge plus. He uses other seasonings to deliver flavor without tons of sodium. We've found that 3 weeks worth of food serves us well for a month because of the random lunch and dinners out during the week. With that in mind, the price point is great. We prefer the regular meals - more flavor and variety over the sports. But the sports were unbelievably filling. More food than we could easily eat in a day (and just 1400 calories!). Decide what works best for you and give it a try! read more

Lifestyle Meals - a kitchen counter with many containers of food - Food Delivery Services Near Me

Eighty percent of life is just showing up (according to Woody Allen) and this review reflects that. I bought a Living Social deal and went online to request a particular date for delivery. I was told that the delivery would have to be moved back because they were busy. No problem -- I appreciate a business that knows its limits. I got a new date and time. I skipped my weekly grocery shopping, in anticipation of the good stuff coming. On the magic date, I arranged to work at home so the food wouldn't sit outside. And waited. And waited. And emailed. And waited. And called. And then gave up. Life's too short to deal with this kind of nonsense. read more

I'm mainly posting this because I searched high and low for reviews before purchasing a Living Social voucher a couple of months ago. It may be too late for me, but I hope it comes in handy for someone else. The good... - Convenience of meal delivery...even though the delivery guy left it in my apartment building's office and did not tell me until I emailed him about it the following day. (So no point given for this one) - Half-priced coupon from Living Social (One point given for this) The bad... - False advertisement of the menu items. They add a ridiculous amount of onions, peppers, and BEANS *wtf?!* to pretty much every dish just to bulk them up. How hard (or expensive) is it to just make baked broccoli or cheesy corn without adding all that other crap? - These meals were not meant to be frozen and every single one of them had freezer burn when they arrived. - They aren't portioned out correctly in nutrients or size. I'm not a dietician, but I do know that you need most of your carbs/calories/sugar earlier in the day when you can burn them off, not all jammed into the dinner entree. - Sodium. These meals are packed with sodium. The gross... - The mystery "beef". Seriously, what is that? All in all, I really wanted to like LifeStyle meals. The concept is spot on, however follow through is definitely lacking. And even though they do not currently offer meal delivery, a better alternative is My Fit Foods. read more

I ate LifeStyle Meals for about 6 months and I found the food to be just the right size, low sodium, low sugar, nutritious and filling. I absolutely loved the breakfast items and most of the dinners too. The meatballs and corn dish and the various frittatas stand out to me as the most memorable. The meal plan (and conversations with Chris) really taught me to portion my foods more appropriately and made me start monitoring my sugar and sodium intake more closely. To this day, I have kept off the weight I have lost (and actually lost more) partially due to what I learned from eating on this plan. I'm a busy person and don't often have a lot of time to cook. I found this plan easy to stick to, brainless (just pop it in the microwave) and delicious. I especially enjoyed the delivery aspect of the service and the 2 weeks worth of food delivered at one time. I discontinued my meal service when LifeStyle Meals stopped delivering to my city. I started a plan with My Fit Foods soon after and found their meals lacked substance, their service and variety was lacking, it was more expensive and I had to constantly go to their store 2x a week to get food. I just don't have time for that. I definitely recommend giving LifeStyle Meals a try if you are truly looking to eat "cleaner." I believe they do first-month specials from time to time. I'm pretty sure you'll be hooked on the convenience and quality of the food. read more

Purchased a Living Social deal Feb 22nd, 2015 and had a few questions before ordering. I called multiple times throughout the next three weeks with no answers and call backs, even after I left multiple messages. I went online and submitted a question through the site and still never received a reply. If no one has the professional courtesy of answering a phone call, call back, or email message; I'd rather not deal with them professionally. I've asked for reimbursement (less a 9.00 charge I can't get back) from Living Social. My opinion, seek elsewhere for meals. read more

I'm a big proponent of fresh, healthy ingredients, and portion controlled ready-to-go meals. These guys slide into that space with My Fit Foods & Simply Fit Meals. I have reordered several times and have always found their meals to be great tasting, cost efficient, and enough variety to keep me interested. The portions are perfectly sized to satisfy my appetite and I don't ever feel like I'm overeating. I recently finished up a month (15 meals a week x 4) in combination with my normal fitness routine & I dropped noticeable weight while maintaining high energy levels. I haven't been able to come up with a better solution in terms of cost/convenience/taste/nutrition...I would recommend to anyone. read more

Excellent product and better service! Chris customized a package that worked for our lifestyle and will help us stay on track with healthier choices! The personal delivery service is the cherry on top! You can afford to eat healthy and good food all at the same time - so happy we found Lifestyle Meals! Thanks Chris! read more

I've had a great experience so far with Lifestyle Meals DFW. I ordered a Groupon, and filled out the online form to request delivery. He called about 15 minutes ahead of time and I gave him the gate code, and there were my meals! I wasn't able to be home when he delivered, but my roommate brought the meals inside. By the time I got home an hour later, the bag had still kept everything perfectly frozen. It's only Tuesday, so I've had 4 meals (after breakfast) and I'm really enjoying them! I"m usually a picky eater, but there's nothing I haven't been able to eat. The reason I was so interested in this concept was because I'm in public accounting and just do not have time to prepare proper diet meals. This is PERFECT for me. I foresee regular deliveries in my future. At least through busy season! read more

Received my meals 12 hours after placing the order. I also received the meals on a Sunday which is perfect for the work week. Peter was very polite and even delivered the meals to me on the 9th floor of where I live. I recommend on the great customer service alone. read more

I had heard about Lifestyle Meals through a friend and tried one of theirs and enjoyed it. Then I saw a Groupon for it and figured it was a sign, so I ordered. I also utilize Herbalife, so I have one Lifestyle Meal and two shakes per day along with my snacks that I do on my own but sometimes forget because I'm satisfied from my meal. So for me, this works perfectly with my current program since all the meals are flash frozen, they stay fresh longer than other options. The meals are very tasty and original with combinations and ingredients that I never would have thought of putting together for an awesome result! I mean, you're eating Lobster Mac & Cheese, Swedish Meatballs, Chicken Pot Pie, or my personal favorite, Macaroni and Cheese with Turkey Chili and they are all healthy for you! Those are just some of the lunches and dinners. The breakfasts are amazing! Chris is always attentive, responds promptly and shows up with my 15 meals in a "cool bag" on time and they all fit perfectly in my freezer. 15 meals for $89.00! You simply cannot beat the price, and for me, since I use this service with Herbalife, that $89.00 lasts me three weeks! If you are looking for simple convenience that does good for your body, Lifestyle Meals could be the perfect option for you! read more

Lifestyle Meals - a variety of food items - Food Delivery Services Near Me

Really easy service! Pick your time and day of delivery, and they will coordinate with you on a week to week basis to get your whole weeks worth of meals delivered. Chris has been extremely helpful/flexible. When I'm out of town I'll just shoot him a text to let him know, no extra charges for changing the schedule or anything. Not only that, but he also offers various discounts frequently. The meals average from good to tasty as well! I used to not eat breakfast because I didn't know what to make, and didn't have time to make something. Now, I just pop in one of the breakfast meals and I'm fueled up for the day. Would definitely recommend. read more

Ok, I bought a weeks worth of food and so far so good. I'm a single dad with two jobs and my time for meal prep is non existent so this service is extremely helpful. I ordered the food online, received the food the next day, the meals taste great, and when I had questions concerning the meals or reordering my text messages were answered very promptly. I'm going to re-order more meals tomorrow and will recommend them to others in need of this service. read more

Anytime I can support a local company I do. I decided to try Lifestyle Meals two weeks ago and so far I'm thrilled with the customer service, convenience, and the food. When I ordered I sent an email to Chris requesting a meal plan around a specific macro breakdown and within an hour he responded back informing me he could create a menu for me based on my macro request. I encourage people to be realistic with any service like this. If you are used to eating sugary, greasy, fatty, and processed foods than you will have to get used taste of the food. If you are used to eating 3,000+ calories a day than the portions will seem small. If you expect food delivered the same day you order it then you have this confused with fast food. read more

At first I bought 1 month worth of food, but after such an amazing customer experience, I now have ordered 3 months worth of food! The meals are perfect in portion to someone who wants to control their weight and eat healthy foods. Also, Chris is so ease and such a pleasure to work with! Although I travel often for my work, all I have to do is notify Chris and he will make sure that my meals are delayed for that week. I am now an advocate and will be recommending my friends to this amazing service! read more

Lifestyle Meals is exactly what I needed. I have eaten healthy for a while, but I find myself having less and less time for meal prep, and I don't have a single healthy option for lunch at work. This meal program allows me to control what I eat, while using my weekends to relax and enjoy the outdoors rather than prepare for the work week. Chris has been super responsive, and had no problem removing certain meals from the rotation, or including more of a particular meal that I like. There is actually even more of a variety than what I posted on the website, as I have been receiving meals for over a month and am still getting some that I have not seen before. I'd highly recommend this service. read more

I ordered a living social deal with 15 meals. So far I've tried 2 breakfast entrees. The first was an egg scramble and was just okay. The second looked like dog food and tasted terrible so I threw it out. The dinner entree was meatballs-maybe soy? I could only eat half of it. The lunch entree was meat with spicy corn. The corn had a sweet weird aftertaste. I didn't expect healthy meals to taste like the full fat versions, but I expected better taste from the reviews posted. I give high marks for convenience but it you can't eat them, what's the point. I'll keep trying the meals and keep you updated. read more

I purchased a Groupon. I'm getting 15 meals for $69. What a deal! Thought how can I go wrong? Here's how: There is corn, lima beens and pinto beans in just about every dish. Presumably it's filler. Most of the dishes are barely recognizable as the label on the side of the container and most of it was just barely palatable. D read more

My wife received a coupon for meals from Lifestyle Meals for Christmas. She has yet to be able to speak with anyone about ordering. She calls and gets voice mail, but the voice mail box is full. I purchased a Livingsocial voucher for 15 meals several weeks ago. The instructions on the voucher said to call their number to redeem. I did that. Got voicemail. Left the appropriate message. No response. I called back. Went to voicemail. I have just tried again, this time leaving an email via their website. This is way too much trouble for a few meals. IF they finally respond I promise to publish an honest and fair review of their food. If they do not then I will let this stand and contact Livingsocial for a refund. read more

I AGREED with Erin K, at first! However, Chris the owner pleasantly surprised me! I, like Erin K purchased a Groupon in September 2015 for the Lifestyle Meal delivery service. Countless emails went unanswered and like Erin, I contacted Groupon to report this company as a scam! Right before reporting this company to the Better Business Bureau, Chris the owner of Lifestyle Meals, contacted me via email and sincerely apologized for the delay and miscommunication. Chris sincerely apologized for his mistake and explained his personal situation in detail. Nevertheless, he delivered my food the next day and the food is GREAT!! The flavors are fantastic and the packaging is very convenient for a business woman on the go like myself. :) Except for the delay in email communication, I would highly recommend this food service delivery. Thanks Chris! read more

I have been doing lifestyle meals for about 4 months and I LOVE everything about it! The food is really good and keeps my blood sugar steady throughout the day so I am not feeling those lulls in the afternoon! I am a HUGE fan and would recommend this service to everyone! read more

Edted: The original review is below, but I am editing it to say that I got a contact from Chris, and there were many circumstances that caused this to slip through the cracks. He handled these with the utmost professionalism and courtesy, and I couldn't be more impressed with his concern, his profound and heartfelt apology, and his commitment to resolving the issue. If only large companies were this responsive, the world would be a far less difficult place. Thanks, Chris, for reaching out, explaining what had happened, apologizing though you weren't at fault, and moreover, for your commitment to excellent customer service. Well done. === I paid and placed an order with a Living Social voucher, following the instructions. No response. I sent a followup email a week later, no response. I sent another followup email a week after that reconfirming all of the information. No response. I had ordered this because I had ankle surgery and the reviews had been acceptable -- now I'm three weeks into the process, and like another user, skipped shopping only to have no food and no response. ==== read more

Simply put, Lifestyle Meals is a better deal than its competitors. They deliver to your door at your convenience, and it's less expensive. On top of that, I enjoy the meals more. They taste better, and I don't get tired of them like I do with the other local competitors. read more

I have ordered these meals for the last several months and it is the first time that a healthy meal is good tasting and great over and over. Each meal is fresh and tastes great, which is unusual at best. The variety of meals and convenience of delivery make ordering these meals, and sticking to a healthy diet so much easier. Never had a problem with delivery or the schedule, it has worked out great. I have reordered many times and plan to continue. Thanks and great job. read more

I have been having the Lifestyle Meals delivered to my home for several months. This has been a great experience. The convenience has been a life changer for me. The food is delicious and healthy. We were having a hard time cooking regularly in our family so that meant eating out a lot which was hard on both our wallets and our waistlines. Enter in Lifestyle Meals- the meals taste great, the customer service is excellent, and our budget is much more under control. You can beat popping a meal in the microwave while watching the scale go down. I always feel like I get enough food and I don't notice by the flavor that it's health food. My husband is picky and so he gets to swap out meals for his favorites. My toddler loves the food and it's so much healthier for her than the typical toddler choices. I highly recommend this company!! read more

I have been ordering Lifestyle Meals for over two months now and I love it!!! I originally bought a groupon for a week's worth of meals and at the end of the week I signed up for a month! I am a working mom and it has taken so much stress out of my life to not have to worry about meals. And everything is really good! Chris, the owner, couldn't be nicer, and his communication, via text and email, is prompt and attentive. And when he comes to deliver the food (himself, which shows his pride in what he does), he is always smiling. It has been instrumental in getting my baby weight off! I find myself not even snacking anymore bc the meals are so filling. The breakfasts are extra delish and I don't feel deprived at all or like I am on a diet (sausage and cheese biscuit sandwiches? Yes please!). I also love that everything is frozen, because I don't end up wasting food if I have a work lunch. And the price is reasonable enough for me to continue long term! Thanks Chris for simplifying my life! read more

Just wanted to update my review as I've ordered again from Chris. Got my meals and extremely satisfied with the variety, price, and service. Chris texted me a few minutes before dropping off. Always fantastic customer service over the years. The meals may be a little different than what you're used to, but very good. I know what i'm eating is lower calorie, a reasonable amount of sodium, good protein, etc. For me it's more about a balanced diet and not eating out so much. If you're a really really picky eater, Chris will work with you, but don't expect miracles. This service to me is more about nutrition. Yea, sometimes added beans in a dish is a little weird, but I don't mind because I know that's protein and fiber and none of it tastes bad. You'll be much more happy if you view this service as a means of replacing your crummy diet and eating healthier than if you look at it as a too busy to cook, straight meal replacement. Theirs no fried chicken or burgers here. Alot of it is a "casserole" style mix, but it's balanced, convenient, and when compared to eating out twice a day, way better for your wallet and waist line.... No complaints here! read more

Meat in the meals was mysterious and terrible. When I wrote to the rep, he apologized and said they couldn't get the meat they wanted from their vendor. The fact that they know they are serving subpar food (I'm talking dogfood grade) and thinks it's better to do that than take a loss and grab some Costco meat for a while until they fix THEIR vendor situation is appalling. I was so frightened by thought of what else they might do that I told them to keep the rest of the food an not deliver it. I think I lost something like $200. They didn't deliver it, didn't refund my money, just kept money for no product which to my mind is stealing. read more

I love this service. I work from home, live alone, and have a crazy schedule, so I often forget to eat, and really hate to shop for groceries. Enter LifeStyle Meals. I really like their breakfast meals--often an egg scramble of sorts, and it helps me to remember to eat breakfast. The rest of the meals are good portions--filling but not overly so. And with the nutritional information on each container, I can keep track of my intake. I've actually lost weight just gradually, and it super quick and easy--I MAJOR requirement for me. Chris has been responsive and helpful. For example, one meal had pineapple in it, and that didn't work for me. All the meals are microwaved, and I prefer my pineapple fresh, not zapped. They put that in my file and promised not to include pineapple again! I definitely appreciate the flexibility of having prepared meals ready to go in 5 minutes or less. Just my kind of lifestyle! read more

I have been a Lifestyle Meals customer for over 6 weeks now and I LOOOOOVE IT! The food is so delicious! The meals are hearty and filling and feel like home-cooked comfort food even though it is all nutritionally balanced and portion controlled. I saw another reviewer complain about the way there will be broccoli or beans added to a dish where you don't expect it but I love that - I know it is giving me more nutrients and fiber and making me feel full with fewer calories. I think the veggies everywhere are awesome! And it is just so incredibly easy to order & receive the delivery. Chris has been so friendly and responsive when I have called & emailed him. He let's me know when he will deliver and he always shows up right on time with a smile and a big freezer bag full of deliciousness! He offered to make substitutions if there are any meals I didn't like as much as the others but honestly, I like them all and the variety is so fun that I didn't even have any substitution requests to give him! There is such freedom in not having to think about what I am going to eat. I don't have to grocery shop or cook or even think about it! It gives me such peace of mind to know my freezer is full of healthy meals so when I'm hungry, I just choose one, eat it, and move on with my day knowing my body will feel satisfied and healthy. And I love that they are frozen so if I have social plans to go out for a meal, I don't have to worry about the food I have at home going bad. Seriously, I can't say enough good things! Highly recommend!! read more

DON'T DO IT! Wish I could rate this a 0. I scheduled and confirmed a delivery date a month in advance and on that date he was a no call no show! After several emails text and VMa he emailed me and said his car was stolen and he would deliver in a couple of days. Again no call no show. Again after several calls, text, and vms he responses and says he's getting a car and he'll do it Monday. Well he did delivery on Monday but he left the meals in an open overfilled freezer bag and didn't bother to let me know. He has my email, text, phone. So I don't find out until Tuesday, which wouldn't be a problem if he would have told front office staff because they would have put it in the refrigerator. he didn't. So I call, email and text him Tuesday all day and he fails to respond until the next day with a flip response blaming it on the front office staff of course This is the second time I've tried this company and the second time I've been utterly disappointed. Ohh did I mention he emailed me that he's located on Lovers Ln and Greenville Ave. I went there to return the food and NO ONE including the vitamin store, the fitness center and the Property Management Companies in the area have ever heard of him or his company. Don't trust this company with food! read more

Chris Sieffert of Lifestyle meals is amazing! Superior customer service when I asked for special dietary combinations, a change in delivery time to accommodate our family, and always quick to reply to MANY, MANY questions we had. Really LOVE these meals. They have been a lifesaver for me in trying to lose weight sensibly and enjoy very tasty meals right out of my freezer, brought to me weekly. It is healthy food, creatively prepared with only small amounts of the ingredients we are told to eat in moderation when trying to lose weight. Last year, for 6 months I ate most of my meals from Life Styles and not only enjoyed them, but lost 10 pounds in 6 months, while maintaining my exercise schedule 3-4 times a week. That's exactly what most doctor-approved diet plans require: eat less and exercise more. This year, I've started back on the meals because of travel and less time available for cooking. The meals are just as good as last year and the service is fantastic always. Wouldn't know what to do about maintaining or losing weight without Life Style Meals. Chris and Julie are real pros at menu selections, customer service and at being highly knowledgeable health food guides. PS: Don't understand these negative comments on Yelp. I know what the meats are, it's just prepared in a healthy manner, but some people apparently still expect their burgers and fries while eating healthy---not gonna happen. read more

I purchased a "deal" from Living Social and followed the directions for submitting the order online via their "Contacts" tab. When I did not receive a confirmation from them, I followed up with a phone call and left a voice mail as no one answered. Several days later I still had not heard back from them, so I called again. It has now been over 8 weeks since my initial contact - my deal has now expired - and they have STILL not contacted me. I have left three voice mail messages because no one EVER answers the phone, and I have sent two email messages in addition to the original order I placed. There has been no response from them. So in essence - they received my money from Living Social (who also took their cut), but they have failed to deliver anything...including customer service. I am out $63 because Living Social will not engage in resolving the issue either. So I have been scammed by both LifeStyle Meals AND Living Social. Buyer beware - these folks are crooks. read more
