I arrived at 7:50am and already there was a huge line up of people in front of me. I had to wait about an hour to be seen by a nurse, which was ok, especially given I didn't have an appointment. The staff are very friendly. Pauline has the exceptional customer service by explaining to each customer politely and nicely who are anxious and irritable while waiting for their time. It's inside the Shoppers Drug Mart therefore not as big as other locations, since I'm not familiar with its setting, I hesitated a bit when I get there, but the front reception kept asking me to wait that it won't be long ... However, the nurse who took my blood test poked into my vein so painfully, that my arm got bruised even after a few days later. NOTE: The entrance to this lab is gained inside the Shoppers Drug Mart (at the rear of the store just left of the pharmacy department). I had the paperwork from my Doctor along with my health card ready for the person at the service counter. Some services are not covered by OHIP and you'll have to pay upfront out of pocket. There's seating for about 20 people. The TV monitor on the wall displays the wait times before you're seen by a lab technician. Staff were polite and efficient. I was in/out in 30 minutes.

I really love their waiting area, huge, clean and comfortable. They have quite a few stations, so the wait time is not that crazy (compare with the dynacare in Unionville.) You can online check-in, and the wait time will be shorter.

This allows you to wait at home until closer to your time so you aren't crowding a waiting room. Wait time was 60 minutes so I waited 40 and made my way down only to be told once I got there that the check in doesn't work. So I had to wait in line for another 55 minutes. If you know it doesn't work then maybe take it off the website ‍. And then when I let the staff know I checked in before they told me it doesn't work the response I got was 'the check in doesn't work so if it's a problem come another day' which is sound advice for someone who doesn't have a full time job that they had to take time off of to come here.. 55 minutes later staff comes out with my uploaded form from their website only to be told they can't take it like that because the website seems to change it when they printed it. Luckily I was able to forward the email from my doctor directly to them otherwise I would have wasted over two hours of my day and half a days pay. They really should have one day dedicated walking and the rest of the week done by appointment. But to clarify, the staff were friendly, clearly frustrated with how busy it was but they were nice. And the service was as expected. I got the blood drawn. My issue is that the mother company tries to be online with checking in and uploading requisitions but there seems to be a lack of communication and organization when the online communicates with the actual centre. I did not need to waste over two hours of my day.

When going for the test that are required it can be very scary but they always have a way of making sure you are reassured . My technician's name is Shani shamili and I have had her pretty much for every time I've been there which has been many times and she is absolutely amazing . I look forward to going to my appointments as she makes the experience so much more comforting and is a very calming soul . Is she is extremely knowledgeable about what she does gentle and quick but completely thorough . So I'd like to send the utmost thanks to Shani and the Staff of Canadian Vascular Laboratories for making my scary experiences way less scarier.

He'll be fine " 8 hrs later, after doing as advised, the fever got progressively worse. The Advil couldn't break the fever. Then his little lips started to look blueish ! I immediately called the ambulance. After all was said n done the hospital Dr. diagnosed a " Severe ear infection " and we where told that he was likely minutes away from convulsions! Needless to say I am not going to let this go. I'm absolutely furious . DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC!!! In my opinion he is totally incompetent and should not be practicing.

Waste of time due to their lack of effort. After visiting…read morethe Ajax Harwood Medical Clinic twice (with two separate issues) I will not be returning. My first visit occurred due to something getting in my eye. The doctor barely looked, didn't use a light, didn't flip my eyelid over, didn't use drops, didn't lie me down, but instead, simply told me to go put a cold compress on it. A cold compress is the doctor's version of "i have no clue". My second visit occurred due to white spots on my tonsils and a sore throat. When coupled with a fever or night sweats, this could suggest strep throat. The doctor said she didn't have time to do a culture swab. Who says that? That's your job! When looking in my throat, she said she couldn't see white spots, but maybe that's because she didn't even use a tongue depressor to get a good look. Lack of professionalism and effort. I'd sooner recommend you consult WebMD than visit this slip between the cracks of medical school.
