They will give you a list of durable medical equipment vendors you can contact for a breast pump, but none of the vendors carry them because they only supply equipment such as walkers, wheelchairs, diabetic supplies, wound care, etc. And if a vendor does order a breast pump for you, MPH will not guarantee they will cover it if it is a brand they don't approve. But they also won't tell you which brands are covered. Every rep I spoke to had no idea how to provide me a breast pump through my plan. They do not allow reimbursement; they don't know which DME vendors carry them; they don't know if it will be covered until AFTER you order and pay for it. They even asked me to contact their DME network manager, Integra Partners IPA, so they wouldn't have to find a solution on their own. I am shocked that with so many members on MPH, the insurance company and its reps have no idea how to provide such a simple and common medical device.

The request began at 8:30 AM and was not completed until 9:20 AM. Instead of offering a more efficient verification method (such as email or a direct call), I was required to go through a chatbot just to reach a live agent. The response times were extremely slow, which added to the frustration. After providing all requested information, I was transferred to another agent who then asked me to repeat the same questions all over again. Overall, the experience felt inefficient, repetitive, and a poor use of time for what should have been a quick update.

Fedelis deserves more than 3 stars (an average rating, as other companies my have tried to deny the MRI initially, but not 5 stars, as that is reserved for doing the right thing (approval) from the beginning. Therefore, in fairness to Fedelis, I am compelled to give them a 4-star rating because of their speed and concern after their care team contacted me and because they ultimately did the right thing and granted MRI approval.

I appealed the next day and I just received a call from a nasty representative that informed me that the request was denied and hung up the phone. As of June 1st I'm taking my plan elsewhere.
