This is one of worst places I have ever been! I started working there and quit shortly after. The management does not care about its employees and it is very rude if someone has an emergency and can't make it in they make you jump through hoops to be able to not worry! They do not make people feel good as employees. I understand showing up for your shifts but if you are sick they make so hard to get the rest you need. I would never recommend this place as a gym or an employer. Avoid this place at all cost! read more

I travel for work and am an NPC competitor, 7 times national qualifier, overall, and several 1st place so gyms are my BFFs. I adore Scottsdale Arizona's Lifetime!!!! The 5 days I was there were joyous! Everything I could dream of!!! For those who live in the area, "you're truly blessed!" Can't wait to return!!!!! read more

Love this gym. Has everything from basketball courts, raquetball, lots of free classes, indood and outdoor pool, tons cardio equipment

This is the best facility of its kind that I've ever encountered -- so good that I have bought its stock, assuming lots of Boomers will find their way to the top-of-the-line fitness experience. I've been a member for more than a year. The trainer I work with is extremely competent and professional. The equipment selection is vast and well-maintained. I get my hair cut in the salon, and I use one of the massage therapists (although this is the facility's only weak spot; staff skills here are mediocre to poor). read more

So we joined about a month ago-and so far it has been awesome. I really think it is catered towards children, which I know is not great for some. But having an 8 and 5 year old, it is perfect for us. My kids love the pools, and my son is obsessed with the basketball court in the child care center. I love classes, so I am in heaven. Lots of spinning classes, which are my favorite. I can get a spinning bike 5 minutes before class starts on a Saturday, which is pretty awesome. It is just really clean, and comfortable to be there. I have spent more time there then I thought I would-which is great! read more

The Scottsdale club is amazing! I love Lifetime, but the staff makes all the difference. Clean, kind workers, helpful staff.

This is a 5 star gym, period. Unless you want a gross, Germ filled hole, this is the place to go. Amazing equipment. The yoga is the best in the valley. The gym is spotless. Everything is a first class experience. The bad reviews must be competitors. read more

This facility is state of the art and has all the equipment you need for any workout style. While it does get a bit busy towards the afternoon of you go mid morning the gym is yours. The facility is very clean and you'll get very spoiled by the amenities. You should know that most people that are there are serious athletes and tend to be very focused. read more

Really nice gym. Love everything they have to offer. Nice basketball, rock wall, locker rooms, pools, and workout areas on the second floor. The only things that get me about this place is how they are a little disorganized. The rock wall really needs new routes and the customer service leaves a little to be desired. The kids working the cafe need some hospitality lessons. Other than that, it's the best gym around. read more

I would liken this place to Chick-Fil-A...they just seem to get it and have figured out what everyone else cannot for some reason. It's nice, has lots of stuff, has great hours, facilities are well thought out, etc. What's most important to me is how they do childcare though. They are so, so good at it. My son literally cries when we leave and constantly asks to go to the gym. It's a good motivation actually... read more

Lifetime is where a lululemon MILF can go to meet her future filthy cabana boy. In a club where the female membership ratio is high, the company seems to employ a plethora of mostly young, handsome, athletic men as personal trainers rather than women. In the short time I've been a member I can only recall only seeing three to six female personal trainers. I think their criteria for female trainers are as follows: must be fit, must be naturally attractive, preference for late 20's to mid 30's moms or mom-types, no "party girls". Any female not meeting above can chose to work in either the childcare, activities and/or front desk, or be a lifeguard . The facilities are clean especially since the new renovations. It is lacking a tennis court, otherwise it almost has a country club vibe. Sure the family aspect is central to the club itself, but its more of an afterthought. We held a birthday party here and the party room was a former racquetball room. The childcare personnel is great. You can expect group fitness to be full in January and back to school in August. Lifetime's real mantra should be "SELL! SELL! SELL! because our members can afford it." Every inch of the facility is plastered with advertising for spa services, vitamins, heart rate monitors, etc. read more

We have a family membership at $175 a month. If you are firm and are willing to play the game, you can get no joining fee. After your visit they will constantly follow-up until you're a member. It's was hard to swallow the increase from $75 a month (me, wife and 2 kids camp fees at LA Fitness but there is NO comparison on the facility). If you consider they offer parents night out every Saturday, your about the same you would pay a babysitter for the night and at break even if you use it once a month. Also, free towels (less laundry) and much wider availability in kids center really makes a huge difference. The kids are very happy and want to go which means I can get a good workout in without any problems.. It is always clean and the staff is amazing. I am pretty hard to please so that is saying something. One word of caution, avoid the spa; they upsell everything. The staff is a different cut from the rest of the facility. After several treatments, and cuts I have stopped going. Advertised prices are never what they are and some of the gals there are rude. It't not worth the hassle. FYI: They are upgrading the facility this month with even more space, and apparently a bunch of new equipment. Not sure its needed, I have never waited to use equipment there. Just hope it does not raise the rates even higher. read more

Nice place..Often very busy. But they have a great sauna, that blasts the steam!!

Everything you could want in a full service health club. You get what you pay for. They should have instructors on the floor to correct some of the terrible movements some members are doing. read more

I dont like the fact that the machines were over crowded, hell the whole place is overcrowded and it's like a fashion show. No real lifting is getting done just a bunch of people standing in front of mirrors checking themselves out. read more

WHY IS LIFETIME CUSTOMER SERVICE HERE BECOMING MORE POOR EACH TIME I VISIT. Thank god I canceled it a long time ago. But it's always the Scottsdale location that gives me a hard time. I come on my moms guest pass . Like the ladies at the front desks hate their jobs. And I'm in right now, being told I can't bring my outside food and eat it in a cafe (it's in a to go box because my dad meal preps my food at his restaurant) LIKE THIS IS MY MEAL PREP. Your cafe food is disgustingly over price and doesn't satisfy my diet plans. I didn't/mom didn't pay XXX Amount of dollars to be denied to eat my own meals here at this gym. Health code regulation and inspector might see? Well how about you tie your hair in a higher pony tail away from the front of your shoulder and look more presentable, because your apron and uniform is dirty . read more

Yes the membership fees are high, no doubt but the location is worth it. Huge place, great equipment, I always get a great workout in plus you have never seen so muh silicone and yoga pants in your life. Great place for Coug hunting, if you got the stones, its like stealing candy from a baby. God bless North Scottsdale. read more

This place is amazing! I was visiting for a week and worked out here during my vacation. I love this gym. I wish my home town had something this incredible. And ask for IVAN! He was so helpful and gracious. You will feel very comfortable with him... read more

This place is great. My kids love the play area, the kids summer camp prices are really cheap plus all day!!! The services are really convenient. My wife can put our three kids in the free kids play for up to 2 hours. During that time she could go workout or she could get her haircut (in peace) and get a massage (in peace) all at the facility. The teens they have running the kids area are really friendly and get to learn the names of the kids they look after. Parents night out is really cheap and again a fun time for the kids. On the workout front, the machines are abundant and clean. There are times that it does get a bit crazy busy for the weight machines however, I have never had a problem getting a treadmill or cardio related machine. The exercise classes are good. This would be a five star rating however, the staff friendliness is spotty. There is the combination of Scottsdale snotty with "I am in great shape and barely fit into my shirt" persona to comes off from much of the non-teen staff. Take special note of the guys that are signing people up for memberships. At the end of the day, for families the amenities can't be beat. There are many beautiful people to give many of us that extra motivation push through another set and achieve greater progress. I have been a loyal YMCA and Golds gym member over the years and Lifetime is head and shoulders the best value and the best total package. read more

Love this gym!!! Used to be a member at Mountainside Fitness. Those guys kept the gym in the mid 70s!!!! Every time i ran it looked like I got hosed down! Left that hot hole and joined Lifetime. Nice and cool, and much better treadmills and equipment! Not even close to the amount of sweat on my clothes when I'm done running. LOVE THIS PLACE!!! read more

The place's got it all. Huge weight room/machines/cardio equipment, 2 indoor pools - one with 2 slides, 2 outdoor pool one with another 2 slides (pools can be either heated or cooled), outdoor jacuzzi, 2 indoor jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, free towels, locker room, 2 class rooms, pilate room, cycling room, racquetball courts (ONLY 2!, squash, two full court basketball courts, a freaking CLIMBING WALL - real nice one too, indoor and outdoor cafe, full service spa, party places and.... a REAL NICE, SAFE KIDS CLUB. No mysterious bruises on kids like in LA fitness. ONe star off for not having tennis courts, location in Scottsdale and mandatory ONYX status... ONYX without tennis...really?! read more

Best gym in Scottsdale. Best child care facilities in Scottsdale. Best and most abundant cardio equipment. Best weightlifting floor, including multiple Olympic platforms with bumper plates. There are several great spots in the Valley and solid in their own rights, but it does not get better than Lifetime Athletic Scottsdale. read more

I really like that it's open 24/7. The amenities are great, lots of equipment to choose from. I just joined last week and really like it. Eucalyptus sauna is wonderful, 2 jacuzzis, attentive management. read more

Pricey but worth it. Great machines, huge basketball court, tennis and plenty of weights. I come here every other day, it's always a good workout. Most definitely recommend, this gym is worth it. read more

Lifetime has everything and more than you need. The gym is kept up well and has full amenities, the fitness instructors are top notch, and there is always an open spot for equipment. It is expensive, but with it, if you go all the time. Only negative they don't have wifi on the second level, read more

I am a member of the one that is being built in las vegas and i wanted to see what they were like so i got a free pass from the vegas office to go in. Place is amazing. Clean and just has everything you would ever think of having at a gym read more

Great place clean....smells funky in showers is the only complain I have. Rather then that it is a great place for working out. Staff are friendly and they actully smile. read more

Probably the most amazing gym I've ever seen. They have everything you could possibly imagine. And the highest quality as well. The only support this location is missing for me is tennis. read more

Tons of classes and equipment. Indoor and outdoor pool and hot tubs. Great food in the cafe. There are saunas and all kinds of other amenities in the locker room. Can get busy during peak times. read more

The gym itself is the best gym I have ever been to. The amenities that come with the membership are terrific and the amount of workout equipment is reasonable. With rock climbing, basket ball, racket ball and water slides this makes a gym ready for the whole family. The gym offers a child care so you are able to work out and bring the kids. They have many trainers who are flexible to your hours as well. The biggest complaint is when you have a family membership, it doesn't count if you're 21 and up. You have to pay about 90$ a month for the membership which is absurd. Otherwise if money is not an issue, life time is a great gym to join. read more

My husband and I joined here several months ago and I have to say we love it. The facility has everything and more one would want from a gym. I love that it is light and airy and is cleaner than other gyms I checked out when searching for a new fitness facility. Classes are good but we have not taken advantage of them all. I like the aqua fitness, especially during the spring and summer when they hold classes outside. read more

So I basically live here!!! Super clean and neat and nicer than my own house! Best classes and very friendly people. Modern, up to date equipment and tech. read more

If you like chain companies that don't give a shit about their clients then this is the gym for you! The staff could care less about helping members and it's obvious they are there for the paycheck. BEWARE! Don't let the fake smiles fool you!! If I could give zero stars I would. read more

This gym is truly amazing. My husband and I recently got a membership and have a new found love of working out. I have received many emails from the different activity departments and I feel very welcomed here. This gym is large and they have many group fitness rooms. I love Zumba with Melanie! I wish they would schedule more dance type classes in the evening hours, after 6pm. My son goes to the kids care and loves everything they have to offer. There are so many areas we have not finished exploring yet but we are very excited to! I cannot wait to see the progress in my own body for weight loss and muscle toning. I do not feel like an outcast here and can work out without feeling judged. Great gym! read more

We love this gym. Our whole family are members here. I have belonged to several fitness centers in my lifetime and this is by far the best. Clean, friendly staff, great classes and all the amenities . read more

This is the best GYM I have been too. They offer most everything and the staff is wonderful.

Constant construction, broken equipment, weights left laying around. Childcare was out of commission for 4-6 weeks due to construction. Men working in woman's locker rooms seems every other week. Men's lockers always breaking. Not worth paying prime dollar. Have been with Lifetime +4 years and sad to say its time to try another gym. read more

Poor customer service overall. As another viewer stated, always under construction. Expensive. And be careful of their membership tiers. Cannot be used at every Life time with out paying additional membership fees. Look elsewhere. read more

This athletic club is the best I have ever seen. It makes my country club feel small. It has everything you could possibly want and the largest workout area I've seen. Both indoor and outdoor pools. They are renovating now to make it even bigger and better. It will be feel like a community itself when they're done. If you want to join this club talk to Tony Raimondi. He's the best and he will set you up for a great membership. Check it out! read more

Yikes! Expensive! But wow! This place is huge and VERY clean. I've lived across the street for a while now and just recently joined. I have to say, the gym itself is wonderful! But....they need to do some work on their staff. The trainers are very elitist and a bit snotty in my opinion. But I'm not in the market for one so I won't let that detract from the unavoidable fact that the facility is immaculate. read more
