Awful experience at the front desk, specifically with a woman named Karen.
When we walked in to find out more about the place, we waited in line until we reached the desk. Karen quickly barked at us saying "we don't take walk-ins". She then pointed and told us to go stand in the corner because there was other people in line behind us that she needed to check in. This was incredibly rude, especially since we had also been waiting in line to talk to someone and we were next!
Nonetheless we waited in the corner and when she was ready to acknowledge us again, she snapped, " if you want to see and learn more about this place you're gonna have to schedule an appointment". Never once did she say, "how can we help you"? Or "are there any specific questions we can answer for you today"? I don't know who trained this lady but her customer service incompetence was brutal!
At that point, we were so turned off by her attitude and the way she was treating us that we decided to leave.
I know for certain that if I was running a company I would not want someone like this greeting people and turning away potential members.
Employees that work customer service should treat people with kindness and greet them with a positive attitude, and go above and beyond to help others, this is how you build an uplifting rapport with your members as well as excellent online reviews. According to yelp this lifetime only has a 3.2 review score. That's pretty low.
We will never return to this Lifetime nor would we ever recommend this place. An absolute awful experience and from what I am told , a pretty common one in this particular location.
There are many other gyms that do a much better job with memberships. I recommend you go elsewhere. read more
