Lifetime has been my dream gym for years. It's on the pricey side as far as costs but if you go to the gym 4 or more times a week I would say it's worth it. The facility is always clean. My favorite part of this gym specifically is the 3rd floor where there is a section of turf. I like to do HIIT training so I spend most of my time here. The second floor includes two full court basketball courts, cardio machines and free weights. This gym has a outdoor and indoor pool along with a co-Ed hot tub. It also has gender specified saunas. I was a previous member of LA fitness and after coming to this gym it blows it out of the water. You can even have two guest passes a month to bring your friends! You get notifications as well every time a pool is out of order or if anything is being repaired. This gym does and excellent job with communicating with their members. read more

I love lifetime! They're open late and customer service has been fine. They have a cafe inside and I can use my phone to pay so it's very convenient. They have lots of amenities and lots of equipment! They provide you with towels, shampoo, body wash, condition, qtips, razors that aren't that nice but useable, shaving cream, facial wipes sometimes, spray deodorant, and body lotion. I'm sure there are more. They also have a dry and steam sauna and a jacuzzi or whatever it is.. idk. They also have a pool that's indoor and outdoor(summer time) Parking- Parking lot is spacious. There is also a garage you can park at right next to the building :) getting in and out can be annoying depending on where you're coming from because on the hwy sometimes you have to u-turns at the light because you can't go up the ramp. It's not that inconvenient though but I also usually come from a different side like from the downtown crown direction The cafe is great but the service is sooooooooo slow! The worst which is why lifetime gets 4 stars. Anytime I order a smoothie I feel like it takes at least 15 mins and when it's not busy it's obviously faster or so you'd think. I went one morning with my sister before work and ordered a smoothie. There was no line and like less than 5 people in the cafe and most had a dish with them.. it took at least 15 mins. Mindblown!!! Sunday's always takes at least 20 min. One time I ordered on the app and it took about 20 mins even after my order so it took at least 30 mins. I ordered ahead of time and took my time to dry my hair and stuff before picking it up. My sister was worried it would be melting and I said I'd rather it be ready when we're done instead of waiting 20+ minutes and being late for church.. when we went we didn't find out drink and then we asked and they said hey were still working on it. What?!?!?!!!!! As we were waiting another customer came angrily because his smoothie took 15 mins. He said he was busy but still waited for a refund when I get but I'm so busy because I'm late that I don't have time to complain and wait. Ugh I know serving others is hard because I used to work at a deli but I can't help but be annoyed even as I'm writing this and thinking about it again. read more

I've been a member of Golds for long enough. This is a fantastic gym. Lifetime is my new favorite 5-star fitness facility.  The indoor/outdoor pools, cafe, fitness/cycle classes and amenities make it okay for me to pay a little extra.  Jacob Lepkowsky brought me on board and Jordan Proctor is busy working with my employer on getting a corporate account.  The Front Desk staff, Activities, Membership, and Trainers are all very welcoming.  I've been a member for 10 or so months now.  Always a pleasant experience at LifeTime Fitness. I never regret a work out and being able to spend time to get a good workout in can easily be done here.  Plenty of workout equipment on the second floor.  Other reviews are critical on the cleanliness at Lifetime, but I'm happy with the level of clean in the locker rooms and the towel service is great.  Saunas and whirl pools to soak in the warmth.  During the summer season there is an outdoor pool with a great big slide for the kids.  Maybe I'll use it summer 2020.  There's a large grassy area for running around, flipping tires or sled pushing.  On the way out, Cindy at the Cafe put together a healthy meal, protein shake, or coffee as I head to work or a night out on the town.  Overall, great gym for a great workout.  Well worth the price.  I'm okay with paying a little extra for the fancy equipment and extra amenities not offered by Golds.  I've been going to Olympus or Golds for 20 years now and Lifetime has raised the bar for me. read more

This location makes other fitness gyms in the area look like a joke. We have a family membership and love it. I disagree with the other comments about expensive, I wish they would charge $100 more here on the main membership to cut down on some of the traffic. This place has the cleanest pools around and is great for the whole family to get a workout. Ken Corbett is an awesome GM and really see to it the facility it kept at the best standards around. Cleanest and newest equipment, pools, courts, and kids stuff in the state of MD. If you don't get in shape here then it's your own fault, the community is a blast to hang out with. read more

Life Time is a mixed bag for me. I don't know how to write this review, because on the one hand, I am a member, but on the other, there are Huge flaws to this place: - Cleanliness: On the surface, this place appears clean and Lifetime does do a good job of touting this to all prospective clients, but that is not always the case. At least one of the hot tubs is always under "service." The (dirty) towels are always piled up. The family changing room is always the worst - a hot mess. And the smell from the showers? Deesgusting. Night time is always messier and dirtier with weights everywhere and dirty towels scattered. - Broken Lockers- At Least 75% of them are broken, so it is always a gamble when you get a locker. - Management: Have a complaint? Don't bother. The manager is never there. The managers on duty are the front desk check-in employees who don't know how to deal with any kind of issue, and if you complain, rest assured you will never get a call back from the manager. - Kids Academy (Infant Room - Any kids who cannot walk): You need to make a reservation at least 2 days ahead, if not a day (no, you cannot do it via their app). You have to be neurotic about this & call as soon as hey open because most of the time they are filled up. Also, if you book at say 10:30am and you show up 5-10 minutes late, you are still only allowed to stay until 12:30pm (the 2-hour time you booked). However, if you show up 5-10 minutes early, you are required to leave 5-10 minutes early. Who with an infant (you also probably have other kids like I do), knows exactly when they plan to go to the gym and can show up regularly in a slotted window without being plus or minus five minutes? It is nuts. Please stop being cheap and hire more people in the infant room, after all, we pay plenty in membership fees. - Pool: This was a big sell for us for our kids. Unfortunately, the pool opens at 10am in the mornings and do make sure you read the lessons rescheduling/cancellation policy; they cancel about 3 classes a year for holidays and if your kid get sick and you need to reschedule, you don't get to make up that lesson...it sits on your account for a future "credit" (1 missed lesson = 25% future bookings, 2 missed lesson = private lesson, etc.). Summer time they make everyone get out of the water every hour (both indoor and outdoor), but they don't do it Fall, Winter, and Spring. One staff member said it was to give the kids a "break," another staff member said it was to "clean the pools"- so you don't clean the pools Fall, Winter, or Summer? - They don't allow members to use their 2 complimentary guest passes on the weekends during the summer (mostly to deter people from enjoying the outdoor pool) What is nice about Lifetime? The large space, the variety of classes, and heated pool. This place is a family-friendly gym, so if you are solo and don't need the frills, stay away. read more

This gym is the best I've been to and I've tried a few different ones in the DMV area (Sport and Health, Gold's Gym, 24hr fitness, Equinox, etc). It's a spacious 3 floor gym building, an outdoor pool, and a garage for parking. First floor is where you enter. There is a LifeSpa to the left of the entrance which I haven't tried (massage, facials, haircuts,salon treatments, etc.). There is a LifeCafe restaurant to the right of the entrance. I definitely recommend the chicken gyro bowl and the Chef Dodge bowl. Definitely add avocado ( will cost an extra $1.50). The men's locker room is very clean. You use your LifeTime ID Card as a lock for your locker. There is lotion, deodorant spray, hair spray, shaving cream, q tips, cottonballs and razors available. Aside from that the showers are super clean and have soap, shampoo and conditioner. There is a a moist steam room, a dry steam room, and a Jacuzzi. Definitely recommend the moist steam room as they have a Eucalyptus scent to it. In the back there is access to the swimming pool and coed hot tubs. The second floor has a bunch of cardio and weight equipment. They have state of the art equipment including the treadmills that have air runners, vibration plate machines, TRX cables, body fat monitors, etc. There's plenty of equipment for everyone to use even on the busy days. There's a yoga studio, cycling studio, pilates and more(check online for full class list). I highly recommend the yoga classes for beginners and the more advanced yoga class, which is Bikram Yoga style (hot yoga). Many of the classes are covered in membership, some require additional cost. The third floor contains the more high intensity interval training (HIIT)/circuit training equipment such as Tires for flipping, boxing punching bags (speed and heavy bags with plenty of gloves to borrow), power racks, battle rope, etc. All in all, as long as you can find parking (can be difficult during January), you should be able to find equipment or a class to work out in. Yes. This place is expensive but I definitely feel like it is worth the money - both my kids and I have favorite classes and they have the best pools in MoCo! Plus, the service we have received at this location has been nothing short of amazing. Today, in particular, I am so thankful to all the staff that attended to my daughter (LO2) who passed out at the pool. I think I counted 12 Lifetime angels caring for her (she had heat exhaustion) and 2 or 3 Lifetime angels caring for my other daughter (LO1) and their friend who were terrified. It was such a scary event but ALL the staff calmly cared for us until the ambulance arrived. One manager even helped my daughter (LO1) and friend gather their stuff and drove them in her (manager's) personal car to meet us at the hospital so I could ride in the ambulance. Let me start by saying that I've endured the rudeness, the snarky comments and the blatant talking down to my husband and myself all while investing $1200 a month at this facility. With our busy schedule we wanted a place where the kids can learn swimming and we could work out also, but with that price tag we are spoken to like children and chastised when asking questions or input on progress levels. The only saving grace at this place is my trainer if it wasn't for him I would have walked right out the door. I just want to say that this is my reviews before COVID 19. I don't know how it is now and I don't think I won't come back to this gym anymore. I signed up for my membership about three years ago I believe. there was a promo going on where they waved the extra fees. Only reason why I joined was because it was 24/7 and had swimming pool and sauna. That's it. I'm going to say the bad things first before I say the good stuff. Women's locker room: I saw a woman sleeping in the locker room in front of TV like all the time overnight. I don't know if she is a staff or what but really? Every time I visit there during late hours, the same woman will take a shower and sleep on the couch. Literally every god-awful time. That didn't make me feel any comfortable. Showers: Shower was dirty. I mean, does anyone clean after a member(s) used the shower? and how come I have to slam on the handle whenever I use the toilet to flush? Do any of you try to call the plumber to fix that? Lockers: How is that locker doors are always like broken. I have to go through at least 5 different lockers to get it to close. Members: Why are they such snobs? why is that they don't wipe the equipment after they use them?????? lol Staffs: When I initially opened up my membership in early 2017 people were nice and they generally did not bother me. That's why small things never really bothered me. It is when I cancelled my membership since I was moving across the country and the closest Life Time fitness club was 2 hours away. I thought it wasn't worth the money so I cancelled it in late 2018. "She" basically threw my ID back at me when I cancelled it. Membership: I considered coming back to the Gym this year since I moved back to MD this year but I can't re-activate my membership through the website. what kind of sh*t is that lol. Price is also 20 dollars more than how much I used to pay when I checked the price. Lol I paid 80 dollars 2-3 years ago. How is that it is now 100 dollars. Equipment: Hopefully they made some upgrades to the equipment. Many were old versions. they were all too close together when you are on trend mills. I don't know like it made a little uncomfortable when I was running on trend mill and people can see what you are watching lol. dumb bells and weights were kinda old. Good views: It was 24 hours and they do offer a lot for people who prefer to work out alone. People complained about parking spots during peak hours but I was never there during peak hours. Only a couple of times and I also found a spot with no issues. They offer nice classes but they weren't for me. I loved the sauna there because there was barely anyone in there so I was basically there alone all the time. Once I stopped showering there and just shower at home, it helped to just use the gym and out of there as soon as i finish working out. COVID 19 had me thinking through to make the decision to just seek for another gym. I haven't been really working out (just walking a hour a day) but i'm not in a rush. Maybe I will come back. Kudos: Great place, great selection of equipment and classes, and even greater employees at the Gaithersburg location. From the front desk folks (with friendly greetings every time you walk in) , to the gentleman who is always around fixing/tuning fitness equipment, to the staff who clean and provide us towels, to the site manager. Many times, I've seen the manager pushing a cart and collecting towels, or cleaning the men's locker room. They ALL are professional and customer service oriented... Concerns: It seems some members don't know/care about hygiene and or curtesy especially, around the swimming pools. Lack of policy enforcement has been echoed by other members as well. Aside from the fact that the rules are clearly posted (not to mention some are just basic common sense), some folks don't take a shower before entering the pool; some folks walk in the pool area, take their cloth off right at the pool, and jump in with their street sneakers; and, some spit right in the pool as if it is a normal and tolerated act!... I have asked and I am asking the management and staff to please take an active role in enforcing the pool rules and basic hygiene... I hope I can soon report that the rule enforcement is in effect, and the problems are under control. read more

Absolutely love Lifetime! They have ALL the amenities, a great assortment of classes with great instructors, and all the equipment you'll ever need-and it's state of the art equipment at that. It is an expensive gym, but you get what you pay for. I saw some reviews upset about crowding, but it's a gym and they do get crowded during peak hours, can't fault the gym for that. With that said, I've gone during peak hours and there is generally plenty to go around and I have yet to have any trouble. Classes are pretty big (~60) people per class, but again, the rooms are big enough to accommodate that, so you really don't feel crowded. The staff is super friendly, front desk always smiling and say goodbye when you leave. They also don't judge you when you lock yourself out of your locker :) read more

Awesome gym with everything you need, but they need to cut down on the swim classes for kids, and I'm a parent. I pay to use the outdoor swim lanes, but they have classes for kids indoors and outdoors all the time. What about the adults who want to get off work and go for a swim, but it feels like Romper Room. It's ridiculous they closed one side of the court. 8 old ppl play pickle ball, apparently that's enough to closed down 30-40 ppl who play basketball. SCAM ALERT. This place is a giant rip off. Don't be fooled by their exterior. They will nickel and dime you at every turn. For example if you buy a la Carter swim lessons and decide you don't want them anymore you have to give them 30 days notice so in essence they charge you for something you are not going to consume. That's the very definition of a rip off. I'm not talking about the gym membership. I'm talking about every other service you consume here. Don't fall into their trap. Plus parking is a nightmare. I used a guest pass to join my friend in SHRED class today and I was impressed! I'm currently a member at LA Fitness and after today...I'm considering a switch in the near future. The amenities are limitless and I understand now why the monthly membership is the price that it is. Bottom floor has a salon/spa and an eatery. Good choices in healthy eats and smoothies. Plenty of machines and weights for all. I even noticed a section for physical therapy. Nice bathrooms with a sauna that smells like Vick's Vapor Rub (I'm not even exaggerating). Outdoor pool in the summer and hot tub and indoor pool are also available. Kids Club for people that have little ones. Every corner of this gym is sectioned out which is nice. It gives you a peaceful workout without someone constantly on your back waiting for a machine. Plenty of parking space in the garage. For everything it offers the price might be worth it! read more

This is the crappiest lifetime period. I moved from Columbia,MD to this "upgraded gym" that charged more with less hours and service. That's right they consider themselves a premium gym. But stay open less and offer less. The staff in the food service area are nice and pleasant. But the guy in the rental clown suits that are a size to small are rather annoying and fake. The weight area more machines than free weights. Meaning prepare to wait., and wait a while. The free weights of course are filled with the ROIDTIME members. While I was never disappointed with any of my staff interactions, I have to say this gym simply isn't worth the money. 1. The parking lot constantly full, more so in the summer than winter of course. There are some points In which the parking is filled to the very top of the parking garage. 2. Most gyms are at capacity during peaks hours but due to the size and cost of membership for this gym I just expected this gym to be a bit more proactive with this. 3. Recently there has been no cold water from the drinking fountains. This was actually what solidified my idea to leave. When you pay this much for membership, you should be able to have cold water from the fountain 4. The lockers use a combination lock that is triggered by inserting (and leaving) your membership card. This is really cool when you first see it, until you realize sometimes these locks don't set your pin correctly and other times you simply forget your pin and have to get a staff member to unlock your locker. It's just a little inconvenient. Other than the other features of the gym are nice but I don't really use them. They have an indoor and outdoor pool, which I don't use because it always seems packed to the brim. They have showers with stocked soap shampoo and conditioner. They have a whirlpool and it's a generally nice gym but there are lots of nice gyms these days and for how much I pay here I can get a lot more at another gym. read more

I'm copying and pasting my review of the Rockville location because my experience with the Gaithersburg location is same except here they have a pool so beware that if you sign your kid up for group swim lessons, you have to miss four lessons over 4 months before you get to make up one class. What a rip off. I agree with just about everything all of the good reviewers said (clean, spacious, don't have to wait for machines, etc). I'm just going to give you the downsides. When I went in to check it out and get a tour, I was told there was a promotion and instead of paying the normal $200 joining fee, it would only be like, $69 or something. I wasn't really interested in that since it was already a $100 monthly membership fee plus another $10 each for my two kids for a total of $120. I was also told I would get $150 in "Lifetime Bucks" now that I could use anywhere in the gym and another $150 in 6 months or something. So I walked out without signing up because I don't like the pressure. I joined a gym previously the first day I went in for a tour and regretted it for the next 18 months that I was locked into their contract. Lucky for me, by some marketing miracle *eyeroll*, the Lifetime sales guy called me two days later to say there was an even better, ONE DAY PROMOTION WITH NO JOINING FEE. Ok, whatever. I planned on joining anyway and was waiting for a phone call like that, and I got it. You should wait, too. Make them work for it. I had no interest in going back to the gym to fill out paperwork and I was out of town anyway so they sent me the link to join and when I was filling out the paperwork and got to the end where I pay for the first month, SURPRISE. There's a $50 admin fee or something. I don't remember exactly what they call it. I paid it, but this kind of thing is exactly why I hated the last gym. After I completed the paperwork, I called the rep to express my displeasure. He gave me the whole, "Oh, I'm soooo sorry. I forgot about that fee. You only have to pay it if you want the 300 Lifetime Bucks." Right. Whatever. As for those super awesome great LT Bucks I can use anywhere in the gym...no, you can't use them anywhere and they expire. You can't use them in the cafe, not even for a bottle of water. And you can't use them all for any one service. They dole them out coupon style for each area of the gym...personal training, spa, salon, etc. SUPER ANNOYING. This is another one of those little surprises the sales rep won't tell you about when he's giving you his sales pitch. And when you go to use your LT Bucks? Beware. First you'll get a sales pitch. Going in for a facial, first they'll try to pitch a package of facials. Going for a massage, how about a massage package? Doing a complimentary boot camp class, first, you'll have to talk about signing up for 6 or 8 classes because "you'd really get more out of it". Duh. But you don't even know if you like it yet because you've never done it, right? Going for a complimentary personal training? Well, they have a promotion for 4 sessions for the low low price of... You get the picture. *Back to the boot class...even if you're not in the class, which is who the sales pitch is directed to, you'll have to hear the chick yelling to everyone about how they should use protein powder shakes and not to buy them from anywhere except Lifetime because of their superior ingredients. THE PITCHES NEVER STOP. Finally, I mentioned previously I have 2 kids right? I had taken them with me when I went it for a tour and the rep was telling me all about the "Parents Night Out" they offer twice a month. So great! You can leaved the kids for 2 or 3 hours and go to dinner with your spouse, right? Wrong. My kids were 1 and 3 at the time. The 1 year old is clearly still in diapers, but did the sales rep mention the kids have to be potty trained to be left with the child care center for PNO? Sure didn't. Surprise number 549. What wasn't a surprise was getting the worst haircut ever in the salon. Don't even waste your time in there. It's second rate to say the least, and not only was the haircut not what I asked for, she must have flipped my wet hair into my eyes at least 3 times while she's cutting, completely killing what is normally a relaxing experience. While Lifetime is good overall, they're still like every other gym with all the shit they purposely don't tell you. read more

Life Time Athletic is an amazing gym. The locker room is spacious, the workout area has great equipment, and the trainers and staff are very helpful. They also have towel service, a eucalyptus steam room, a Jacuzzi, an Olympic-size swimming pool, basketball courts, a training area with turf, a cafe with inexpensive yet delicious and nutritious food -- you name it, they have it. However, there are a few issues that make the environment a little stressful. 1. The locker room is spacious, but it is ALWAYS crowded. I have to search for a locker during every visit and it is frustrating. A minor inconvenience, but still annoying. The locker room benches are always being used and there is rarely a time when I do not see children in the locker room. Granted, they are with their parents, but still a little annoying. Which brings me to my next point -- 2. There are so many children running around on the 2nd floor on evenings and weekends. They often walk in orderly lines, but it is annoying when you are working out in the central area and you have to stop or move because a stampede of kids walk by. 3. The 2nd floor workout area is way too crowded. When I first joined, I was told they would never oversell memberships. I'm not sure about the actual logistics of membership, but the apparent membership seems like there are too many people working out at this gym on most days. You have to wait to race to a spot for some of the bench presses and other free weights. It's crucial that you time it right or else someone will snag the spot before you and your workout will last longer than you anticipate. 4. Parking is a mess. There is rarely a time on evenings and weekends that you do not have to search for a spot on the 2nd or 3rd floor in the garage. But hey, at least there is adequate parking. Overall, it is a wonderful gym with very frustrating inconveniences that may be minor to some, but a little annoying for people who prefer a less stressful workout environment. It makes me feel like I'm in an airport every time I visit because of the swarms of people running rampant, sometimes clueless as to where to go. My first time visiting this gym as a guest and it was a great experience! The location was accessible, parking was easy, and the facilities inside were wicked awesome! Exercised for over 2 hours by using the treadmills, stationary bike, elliptical and weight training machines. The gym locker room was decent, but the restrooms were always full. Bought a few drinks from the Lifetime Cafe, even though they were pricey - over $3 for each of the bottled drinks. Smoothies were priced at $7.50! Didn't try it, though, very expensive. Very disappointed with the cleanliness and overall gym maintenance. I understand that it is a huge facility to run and hundreds of employees to manage, but you as a member pay for it. And let me tell you this - more expensive is only Equinox. So if you don't need a pool or a basketball court you might as well just sign up for LA fitness or Golds Gym and pay 5 timees less for the same mess. Everything is very dirty, some of the areas and equipment looks like it hasn't been cleaned for years. And I'm not exaggerating. You can tell that whoever is responsible for cleaning stationary machines are doing so with their eyes closed. It's a fairly new gym but some machines look like they were rented from the golds gym. On Sunday at 7pm it was a complete disaster on the second floor. EVERYTHING was gross. Machines, equipment, all the mirrors. Even the massage tables upfront were covered in dust/mud from somebody's shoes. No employees were spotted on the floor. Period. Only a young guy checking in on the 1floor. Looks like checking people's membership is the only thing they are serious about. I left golds gym because of the cleanliness and thought that paying 120$ instead of 30$ would solve this disgusting problem (IT'S A GYM - IT HAS TO BE CLEAN!).. little did I know... Told them I wanted to suspend my membership during Covid and they still went ahead and re-activated it at the start of the year. They claimed they notified me but if so was done very inadequately-- no email, no phone message-- and refused to refund me for that period for several months when this was autopaid even though it was clear I hadn't gone at all. I understand they were hurt during the pandemic but to disregard people's concerns for their health and lives just to make a fast buck was really troubling. I live with my elderly in-laws with health issues so we really had to be careful before they were vaccinated not to get them sick. read more

I love this gym! My 14 month old really loves the daycare. There is always enough staff for the kids and plenty of space and toys. They even have activities like arts and crafts. This gym offers a wide variety of classes and equipment. They have an indoor pool we can enjoy year round and an outdoor pool, as well. Many events for kids and Classes for the older kids. It's perfect for my daughter and me! read more

This place false advertises their Day Pass, and their personnel are extremely rude and irrational. I will not do business with people that do not honor their word. I am rating pickleball at lifetime Gaithersburg. It is horrendous. The coordinator and Pickleball is a good player, but does not have no how to coach, except for Diana the court monitors are terrible. When I came to play the other night the night court attendant did not believe that I did not have the proper credentials to play pickleball. Of course I did. It took him 40 minutes to confirm it another time. I asked Will the attendant to play with me he said he could not play while he was working. Then I saw him play with another player Jane the pickleball coordinator brings her friends to the court, and makes paying members wait, when I played I Life Time Gaithersburg, I tried to help the players because I am one of the best coaches in the country, the vast majority appreciate my help because the Pickleball coordinator did not help them. Apparently one or two told the Pickleball coordinator that for some reason they did not want my help and basically asked me to leave whenever the pickleball coordinator sees a player hitting the ball rock. She should tell them how to get it correctly. Unfortunately she's not study physics like I did and there's not know how to tell them correctly, the training staff is also somewhat sketchy. I had a level five trainer training me initially and she was fantastic and then had a young trainer trained me and she was OK and when I tried to schedule another session with her, she ignored me I like the spa there and the people that are members are usually pretty nice. I gave the general manager numerous ideas and he did take a few of them but I think he was basically unhappy that I gave him recommendations. There's not one good pickle ball store in Montgomery county there was one that was OK call TennisTopia, but it was sold and now it is horrendous. I bought a paddle there for $200 and brought it back the next day and they gave me absolutely no money. They have a tiny pickleball Court in the store. We're just totally useless I recommend it to Life Time that they put a Pickleball Store in their facility, they could've made a fortuney read more

A gym should be where you go work out, get your stress out and leave! this gym has all the show off materials with most of the people who just wanna say "I go to life time athletic" yet they barely lift a pound. To me this place is over priced, over rated and worthless. I would rather pay $50 and go to Sports and Health. I will start by saying this is a beautiful gym. It's huge in fact (that could be a plus or minus depending on what you're looking for). Lots of options, amenities, and classes. Open long hours and something for everyone: unless you're in a wheelchair. If you're elderly or handicapped you aren't getting very far. Zero thought went into making this place work for those with varying disabilities. Automatic door, yes, but not to the pool. Elevator, yes. Keyless lockers on varying levels is nice, but they aren't reachable and not useable if you can't see the tiny numbers for a combination. So can't use the lockers. There is only one identified "handicapped" toilet and shower. But you can't fit a wheelchair through or into the stall and then there is no privacy. The 20 other showers are nice, no steps, frosted glass door. But wouldn't be able to fit into them and then there are no safety bars. The pool has one lift. An embarrassing but accessible lift, but only into the smaller, colder, deeper, adult lap pool. The kids area (much larger and warmer water) however does have a graded entrance. Sounds nice! Except, no bars. An elderly person would fall right over if they wanted to use that. And no accessible entry to either hot tubs. There are two! Nice big and clean. But can't get into them. I got excited when shown the "family" changing area. Nice big open shower stall, room to dress behind a closed door... But no safety bars and it's co-ed. All this says to me is: annoying kids that bother other people, "welcome". Handicapped and elderly (who have the money to spend on such a place), "sorry guys, not for you". Maybe their next location will think about the growing population of handicapped, elderly, and people with a variety of disabilities that they have excluded. This is a real shame. I signed up for a membership before it was opened and gave them my credit card info for monthly dues. And when it finally opened, someone opened up ANOTHER account with MY credit card info and started using it. I've never set foot in the club and charges from LIFE TIME CAFE started to appear every.single.day. And it was the only weird charges that were showing up so my card was not stolen or hacked. Finally I had to stop the card and called the corporate office to take care of things. What's weird about this is that the guy on the phone said they completely cancelled the other membership. Why would you do that if it were only a credit card error? You could've just called the other member to collect the correct credit card number if it was a legit membership. This tells me that someone inside the club has maliciously used my credit card. The action was too swift and fast. Be aware and double check your credit card statement if you recently signed up, especially if you did before it was opened. This is really a shame coming from a reputable company. Life Time are the premium clubs in the DC area. The facilities are gorgeous, fantastic equipment, great amenities, extremely well trained people. They feature Technogym equipment which is excellent; most clubs don't have it because of the cost. Life Time has the best of everything including the towels. They build their own buildings and because of this the designs are excellent. By far the best clubs in the DC area!! read more

gorgeous facility...as a stand alone facility, plenty of parking, easy access off of 370. Took a tour, and was impressed with the facility. It seems like a great place for a family, with their "day care" that offers classes for children, as opposed to sitting them in front of a TV. I can see how this place would appeal to a family with younger children. The cafe, right by the entrance was busy, with families eating.The indoor pool was also busy, with lots of children; I think their was a children's class going on? The outside pool looks amazing; I can see how this would be a hit, again with those with children. The slides will certainly be a big hit in the summer...for me...I'd rather go to a gym that is on the quieter side...if this facility was open 15 years ago, I would have joined!!! read more

This is a fantastic gym. Service is great and I've had a great experience with the yoga instructors a and the trainers too. Everything you every might need (except tennis?) until 1 roof. Yes. It's expensive - but check with your employer and see if they have GymPass (way cheaper that way). read more

Love this gym, the class instructors are energetic and challenging, the trainers are really helpful if you have any questions or do one of the 'intro' classes, and i can always get on equipment without a wait. Amenities are typically very clean (locker room, pool, etc). Just wish they offered a class or two in the afternoon, otherwise great! read more
