We went to the back dining room which was clean and spacious and wanted to sit on the screened in porch overlooking the neighboring barns with goats and a horse or two. Like all memory care facilities everything is locked and we couldn't get anyone to let us out on the screened in porch. We didn't try very hard though. There were no activities going on on this Sunday afternoon. Dear friends nails were painted and it looked professional! That's a nice touch! Every inch of the facility is spotless even the gender neutral restrooms. The staff still don't wear uniforms or name tags and there is no sign in sheet at the lobby. The adjacent barn/farm area has what I thought would be a lake and it isn't. This is a nice memory care ladies only facility in Madison!

Staff has no clue about why they were there or what to do with them replying as always, "I am new." Insert eye roll. I told them not to put them back in Moms room as we need to be able to manage her clothing and keep it organized. Then I had to tell the staff to ask their boss Patrick what to do about it because it's not the first time it's happened to us and I'm 100 percent sure it's not the first time he has dealt with it. Next time I think I'll leave a trail of said clothing up and down the hallway. If the staff don't care, why should I? This place is awful!

They would team up on him when he was having an episode that even made him more scared. Clothes were not returned after laundry and stolen. They also used his room for storage while he was out. Medicine was not issued in a timely matter. He fell several times and even hit his head and went to hospital because staff is ignorant and do not care about health and well-being of residents. It would take 30-45 minutes to assist him when he pushed his pendent. Also he was sent out for everything because staff did not want to deal with him- hospital and even geriatric psyc hospital where he became extremely ill because of neglect. I would not recommend the memory care unit for your loved ones.
