Highly recommend! For the record- we drive 3 hours just to see her. There is nobody better out there.

It only added to my stress and anxiety that revolved around school and writing. We all knew something was very wrong but I never fit into any of the more commonly known learning disabilities. I started seeing a new therapist and psychiatrist who worked closely together. They suggested that perhaps I may have something called Written Expressive Disorder. This happened to be the break through that was needed. My grandmother delved into research about the disorder and came across something called an Educational Therapist. From there we discovered the amazing Dr. Shannon Kroner. I met with Dr. Kroner and immediately started working with her. We worked together for a year. By the end of that year I went from barely being able to write a single paragraph to writing a college level three page paper with confidence! I signed up for a religious studies class at Pasadena City College and finally experienced educational success on my own. Without the help of Dr. Kroner I never would have gained the confidence in my ability to write anything longer than three sentences or reach academic achievement independently.

Her calm energy, deep intuition, and genuine compassion were unlike anything I'd ever experienced. She guided me through overwhelming fear, anxiety, and uncertainty with grace and strength. When it came time for my surgery, I was centered, calm, and confident -- something I never thought possible. I got through it with flying colors, and I know in my heart that Ella played a huge role in that. She is truly a Godsend -- gifted, intuitive, and compassionate beyond words. My interaction with this outfit was limited, because I got disgusted with them quickly…read more They will call you pretty quickly -- I got my first call on the day my layoff was effective. They block called ID services, which to me is a warning sign of a fly-by-night business. They offered an introductory webinar. I could only take about ten minutes of it before dropping off. The presenter had a condescending, smug tone reminiscent of every 401K or health benefits presentation I've ever had to set through at work. I decided I wanted nothing to do with them when I received a solicitation from them for something regarding becoming a ServiceMaster franchisee. That convinced me they were not acting with my interests in mind, and I replied with instructions to not contact me again. I confess the instructions could be considered "anatomically impossible." Despite that, I got one final call, again with blocked called ID, reminding me I had only a couple more days to avail myself of their services. I said no thank you.

If you've gotten laid off, most likely your company will send you to LHH…read more Before you can utilize their services, you must attend their 2-day workshop. I went to day 1, and there was a group of about a dozen laid off people just like me. I am in my early 30's and I and a former co-worker were the youngest ones. I think we might have been the only ones who were single and didn't have kids or a mortgage to worry about. I felt bad for a lot of people there--some had been with their company for over 15+ years. I was only with mine for about 6 1/2, and even I thought that was long! The workshop moderator was nice, but I really did not get anything out of day 1. The approach LHH takes seems to be a general approach that doesn't fit for certain occupations. The approach they take is that your experience and skills should be quantified on your resume. The problem is, if you're in certain positions, for example, someone who is in a creative position like me, how do you do that? It doesn't work for people in positions that are nurses, IT, production line worker, etc. because in these positions, a worker cannot quantify their accomplishments and really have no idea how their individual work has really made a difference financially within a company. The general approach of quantifying accomplishments may work for someone who's in some sort of management position, but it doesn't work for most of the working minions. Some of the tips they give you are cool, but others don't make any sense. I didn't bother attending day 2 which was about networking and all that junk (I skipped ahead in the booklet and saw what the latter part of the workshop was about). I am involved in many groups, activities, and am technologically savvy, so it seemed like a waste of time. I also had a 1-on-1 personal appointment with an advisor. The advisor was very nice, but I honestly feel that I didn't get anything out of that either, and that it's advice that friends or family could have given me. I did ask for help on my resume, but the responses I was given vague and limited, so I just gave up. I wound up showing my resume to a family member who helped me MUCH MORE than LHH ever could. I think LHH lacks in a lot of areas and is really uninformed in certain industries. I wouldn't go as far to say that they're bad, but they're not very good either, and in short, I am very disappointed in what they offer. I think it's just a place for companies to send the unemployed to ease the company's conscience- LHH collects fees from one's former employer to attend these workshops and use their services.

I have been working with Mara at Ignite Your Potential for maybe 6 months now and I can't say…read moreenough good things about her. I went to her for career guidance as I was at a major turning point in my life and unsure of what direction to head. She helped me find that direction by helping me identify what I really wanted and valued, what my possible paths were and additionally how my strengths fit into that equation. Mara felt like a trusted friend who guided me through a process of self-discovery and reflected back to me the strengths she saw in me. I think most importantly, she helped me wade through the uncertainty and feelings of feeling lost in my career direction. Career paths just felt like a cloud of confusion and having no idea what I wanted to do. She made me feel like we could navigate it and find direction, and we did. Additionally, I was going through some major difficulties in my personal life and while I've never been to keen on the idea of a life coach, I found her additional expertise in that area extremely beneficial. She always made sure to make it clear that it was up to me how we used our sessions; we could solely focus on the career path but I often chose to use our sessions tapping into her life coach skills as they proved extremely helpful during a very difficult time in my life. I highly recommend her as both a career and life coach!

I was confused and struggled with how I was suppose to get from where I was (confused, college graduate, working retail, and no idea what I was doing or wanted to do) to having things figured out. I have worked with her for over a year now, and have never felt more professionally sure about my choices. We really started from the basics - finding out my likes, dislikes, and most importantly what I want most from my career, which personally was helping others. We made lists, pros and cons, spreadsheets, everything you can imagine to put into perspective the different career options and their roles. Mara helped me in so many ways than just finding my dream career. I will forever be thankful to her. She is so patient, kind, and just a wonderful person to know and work with. I'm very grateful.

I was willing to do whatever it took to get back on my feet after numerous attempts at therapy whether it was through my insurance provider or private practice. I was a bit skeptical at first about hypnotherapy and life coaching because of the heavy price tag attached but here's what happened. We had a counseling session to see what was going on in my life and how we could go about regaining my clarity and confidence. She helped me realize that there was a lot of past trauma that I had to forgive myself coupled with the bitter truth that my self-destructive tendencies may not have been my fault but is ultimately my responsibility to address. I'm not too sure if the hypnotherapy programmed my subconscious that allowed me to take more action in my life than floating around. The month after our sessions I made more progress in regaining my health by choosing healthier foods and cutting out smoking. I also found a new hobby of swing trading and opening myself up to diversifying and growing my wealth from my savings, severance check and Unemployment Benefits. I ended up doing extremely well as I was confident in my buying and selling stocks by reading trends in the market and a little bit of intuition in the tech industry. Even if I was an emotional wreck I didn't let it affect my decision making when it came to trading. After a year later I have made much more progress in my personal development and career. I ended up founding my own marketing business, travel extensively as well as go on to work for other major companies within my career field.
