Oostende is one of the nicest seasides I have ever visited, taking in consideration that it is quiet and less busy through out the year. If you ever have the chance, just visit it.
And if you will ever land here, you will probably want something to eat. And here we come to our main thing:
To find something to eat directly on the beach promenade shouldn't be a big challenge, would one say. Well, not quite the case here. Although there are a couple of restaurants, most of them are closed, outside the main season. So it makes that from the ones that were open, my choice felt on this one.
Being a huge Italian food consumer and fan, it would be hard to stay really objective, and not compare it with other of my experiences.
First of all, the place is located really nicely, with direct view to the beach and sea, which is already a huge plus.
The decoration is pretty simple and less fancy, just as expected from a normal mid range Italian restaurant.
But then there are the waiters and service. Waiters spoke english, but I would have expected a bit more friendliness. The menu had a big variety of food, although most of them not Italian. (To have steak at an Italian is indeed a bit strange). But all in all, moderate - high prices, medium sized portions, but tasty food.
