We had spend a few hours at the beach and popped in for a beer. The owner told us there would be a simple meal that evening, and adviced us to join in.
We did, and it appeared to be the opening of the restaurant: they had just bought it and renovated it. There were long tables for friends and family, and we foreigners were very welcome as well. We were sat in the very middle at a table for two.
It was a real italian party with a lot of singing, wine, dance and food. The food was very good (fish, that's their fortee), and considering they were serving 70+ people at the same time, they did a marvellous job. Excellent risotto with fish, wouldn't dare to cook it myself, but it was delicious.
The view from the bar and restaurant is breathtaking, with the emerald-blue sea in front, the mountains slightly tot the left, and Soverato to the right.
The host was ever so kind, his wife too. Worth visiting! read more
