Why are all the Lidl stores in our area a filthy mess? Visited this store on December 11, the front doors were knocked off their track (same as earlier in the week) allowing debris including trash to accumulate in the lobby and under the rolling cart displays near the front doors. Here's the thing, if leaves and trash are getting in so are rodents looking for a warm home for the winter. Moving inside, the place always looks like a bomb blew up. Shelves are roto tilled, empty cardboard everywhere and giant holes where sale items were. Even at the checkout huge lines, self check never works for us...always a problem. Funny thing is the store in Egg Harbor is actually worse. It's a disgusting mess. The cart area had so much debris under the carts, they couldn't roll properly. I don't think anyone is in-charge of these stores and certainly the area supervision doesn't care or is blind. People don't buy food from filthy disgusting stores like Lidl for long. The outward filth usually means it not much better behind the scenes. The Board of Health would have a field day...can you say "unsatisfactory"? If you enjoy playing Russian Roulette Lidl is for you. read more

I don't really know if my review is A 3 1/2 or 4 I'll start with my likes. Friendly employee's, German chocolate,finds from France and other places in Europe, last off reasonable prices. The one thing I don't understand is that they sell TV infomercial products so strange especially when some are from the early 90's makes it a little schlocky! The one thing I was really excited about was the bakery. They cut the bread to your liking,fresh made pretzels and other delicious treats. But not for me being it's in a open display that tons of people stick there icky hands in with no tongs or anything just grossed me out! I might give it one more try and see if I change my mind. read more

Lidl has created a big stir since they opened recently. Many of my friends, family, and coworkers have gone. Ocean County doesn't have a lot of cool stores, so Lidl is a welcome addition. Lidl is similar to its arch-rival Aldi except that it's a little bigger, and they have a bakery. I used to live in Germany, and I miss German bread. It's here. You will find a wide selection of European-imported products, such as chocolates, cookies, cheeses, and meats, all from places like Holland, Belgium, Germany, France, and Italy. Their prices are lower than Shoprite's. The Shoprite in Lacey has been empty lately. Frankly, I don't think Shoprite has low prices, at least not compared to Lidl and Aldi. The supermarket union pays protesters to picket outside lots of Lidl stores because the store is such a threat to their interests. Definitely check out Lidl. read more

Lurrrrrrrve Lidl. This is a new location and it's stacked! Lots of great items and the pricing is very competitive. The fruit and vegetables are very fresh. The bakery section is a favorite. Fresh bread that they will slice for you. Very happy they opened one in Lacey. Everyone looked happy to be working there too which is a big plus! Will definitely be back! read more

Was not impressed. It's like going to a garage sale. They have a lot of crap for sale along with some food. The food is some strange brands and nothing looked that great. It's a great place if you need to get some weird brand named cookies from Germany and a ice scraper. read more

Customer service has gone to the gutter, awful!! Worst I've seen in a long time. How about try training your employees to actually work, and check people out, be helpful and use some kind of skills. Just disgusting to see how lazy people are. Sad times. read more

Honestly I stumbled upon this store with my mom! Her and I are now love it for the prices! There are so many interesting finds!

Today was my first time ever visiting this store and I liked it for the most part. It was super crowded so I think I will try to go back maybe later in the day if I go another time. Decent selection of items and it's pretty organized. I like the mixture of name brand and store brand items as well. I was most impressed with the bakery section. They have a nice selection of fresh breads and pastries. I bought a loaf of fresh Italian bread and it's delicious. I think it stands apart from Aldi and I appreciate the fact that they have bags. I don't go to Aldi specifically for that reason. It's too hectic to not be able to bag your items. The employees were all very nice. I would definitely go back. read more

I've recently changed my way of eating. I tend to go more towards vegetables and fruits. My husband swears by this store. He's so happy we have a new place. But my veggies and fruits are bruised and black all the time. This kind of diet is already expensive. Imagine spending money on rotten foods. Please fix. read more

Never seems to have very much 9f items that are a really special price. I've gone on the day it's gone on sale & they're out of it. Prices are decent on some things. Frozen food section is pretty poor. I do like the fresh bakery. read more

It is different from Aldi's in that it has a bakery. All the baked goods taste great. My favorites (so far) are the soft pretzels and the protein rolls (can't stop eating them). The store is very bright and cheerful (Aldi's is very dark, don't know why they chose that). The reason I didn't give this more stars is that management is poorly organized. The past several times I was in the store, they have staff stocking the shelves blocking the isles with large flatbeds and very large refrigerator units (in the frozen section). This not only creates traffic in the isles but prevents me from accessing items I wish to purchase. The staff will not move for you. In fact, it appears that they are unaware that there are customers in the store. The last time I was in the store, they had one cashier on a register. She was ringing up my order while assisting 3 other customers who were having trouble with their self checkout. I had to watch carefully that my order was being rung up correctly bc she was trying to attend to so many customers at the same time. To sum it up, a very poorly managed store. read more
