Excellent! One of my favorite places to spend an afternoon with my son.
What was once a disgusting wasteland in the middle of Queen City Avenue is now a wonderful park, with a little creek running through it, a playground, and a pleasant backdrop of a valley between slight hills sparsely populated with the classic Italianate-style buildings this city is known for.
We had a particularly memorable experience yesterday walking down by the creek and saying hello to some geese and a duck tagging along. The path is really long and I've hardly had a chance to really explore it with my son: soon!
For those who aren't a fan of a long walk, the playground is definitely one of the nicer new ones in town. Haven't tried the sprayground/splashground/w/e, but kids always look like they're having an awesome time over there!
I feel a little odd making it a destination; the people of the community love this spot and there's no secret why. All are welcome for sure: just saying that I am glad to see that this gift was made to this community as well. After too many trips to the taco truck up the road, I just had to try it out with my son. read more
