It exceeded our expectations - the setup was not only perfect, but everything went smoothly. We are glad to have had you for our wedding and now our baby shower. You have become our close friends through our biggest moments in our lives. The way Shivani came to our house beforehand, and actually helped Anjali with operations but also helped relax her with the entire event, was priceless. Mansi and the rest of the team were always so welcoming and the entire team has impeccable customer service. Being around your team during the wedding and only a few hours on Sunday showed me what it feels like to be catered to. You guys make people feel like nothing is more important in the world than them and their event. Please keep this going, and maybe do some seminars for other companies, because this is how customer service is supposed to be. We are beyond grateful and thankful. Jay & Anjali Trambadia

Vegan Halloween Wedding - Absolutely hit it out of the park!…read more My brother enlisted me to help him find a vegan caterer for his Wedding on Halloween and I'm so grateful I found Arthur's. I had reached out to a couple of caterers in the area prior with the only requirement being the food had to be 100% vegan (very important to my brother and his bride). Every other caterer I spoke to pushed back on this and tried to get us to consider at least vegetarian (I think it might have been because they were intimidated by planning that type of menu?) but not Arthur's. Patty was our coordinator and she was a delight to work with - responsive, accommodating and put our minds at ease. The food itself was phenomenal! During cocktail hour there was a harvest table with all kinds of dips, roasted veggies, and a vegan sausage. They also had passed h'orderves which included a falafel, polenta cake and spring rolls which were to die for! The staff kept the plates coming so guests were never without something to munch on while enjoying drinks. At dinner there were 3 stations: 1.) americana/BBQ (buffalo cauliflower, jackfruit sliders, mac and "cheese", collard greens) 2.) Wok/Stir fry (tofu, rice, veggies, spicy sauce) 3.) Italian (eggplant rolitini, creamy veggie pasta, rolls) And then there was a late night snack! mini black bean burgers to satisfy the late night dancing and drinking craving. Needless to say no one went hungry and while this was a fully vegan menu there were only about 7 actual vegans at the whole wedding, yet the entire guest list raved about the menu. I can't recommend Arthur's highly enough. Thank you to Patty and her staff for an amazing night and for making my brother's wedding so delicious and so special!

Starting the wedding planning process can feel daunting, magical, overwhelming, and exciting all at…read morethe same time. My advice to any couple starting their wedding planning journey would be to start with selecting your wedding planner and I could not sing my praises highly enough for the Blue Ribbon Weddings team. Trusting your vendors is incredibly important and investing in those you trust will make all the difference. When you're in the hands of Katie and her team you will have nothing to fret from the get-go. I thank my lucky stars that I had heard about Katie and her team through the grapevine and knew that if we needed anything for our wedding day, it was her as our planner. Many people speak highly of her team's organization, communication, thoughtfulness, attention to detail, eye for design, and the list goes on. I had the pleasure of working most closely with Katie and Em - and boy, was everyone right. Not only did they live up to these qualities, Katie and Em surpassed their shining reputation by leaps and bounds. By the time our wedding day came along, we knew if anything unpreventable happened or if even the tiniest detail was slightly askew, Katie and Em would be there to make things right or even better than we planned for. Over our almost two year engagement, they stayed engaged with me, learning as much as possible about my now-husband and I to ensure our day was personalized to our style, preferences, and priorities. I am a perfectionist and was thinking about small details very early on - from the style and design of reserved seating signs to fitting many specific moments into our timeline (like hiding with my maid of honor before the ceremony for a few deep breaths, pouring champagne into a champagne tower for the perfect photo-op, or having a moment to sneak away and make an entrance into the cocktail hour). Not a single detail was missed and she heard every single one of our wishes with eagerness to make our day our dream come true. I cannot fail to mention how Katie and Em circled a coffee table with countless shades of blush, ivory, and sand-colored linens seeing how the fabrics looked in different light and from different angles. I laugh at this memory a bit now but cherish how they took the task just as seriously as I did because they knew how important a small detail like this was to me. Beyond wedding planning checklists, Katie went above and beyond in many other ways that we began to call her our fairy godmother. From ensuring I had a pair of sweatpants to hide from the drizzling rain after my spray tan, providing the best advise on wedding etiquette, to celebrating a job over and move states away during the planning process, Katie knows how to make every moment matter, is there by your side, and even 10 steps ahead. I found myself feeling as though I gained friends in the process, not just a husband. After accepting a job in another state, many people asked how we would plan our wedding from afar. Thankfully, this was not a worry for us. I did not carry a single doubt that Katie and Em would ensure the process was seamless - and our in-person planning turned virtual (pre-COVID) and they handled the new situation with ease and never missed a beat. While I spent many hours dreaming up details I wanted to personalized and focusing on personal items, Katie and Em elevated our vision and made it more than we could ever dream up. I confidently tell everyone I know (and even those that I don't - haha) that choosing Blue Ribbon Weddings would be the best decision they could make for their wedding planning process. Being able to peacefully sleep the night before our wedding was never something I had to worry about until I laid in bed the evening before - I have Katie and Em to thank for this and every single teensy tiny detail that was perfectly put in place for us. I cannot recommend Blue Ribbon Weddings enough. I would choose to work with them a million times again with them at the tip-top of our priority list.

We cannot recommend Swanky I Dos. We hired Stephanie for design and flow plus transportation, for…read morean additional fee. We got design boards that didn't reflect our significant input, a flow that ultimately failed on our wedding day, and we ended up quoting and negotiating the transportation ourselves. She provided some good vendor recommendations but also a very disappointing one. Despite paying extra for her transportation services, after 6 months and multiple requests, she still didn't get updated quotes from the preferred vendor discussed in our first meeting- in the last month we finally had to call, quote and negotiate the transportation ourselves. And, despite providing her with shuttle times, she still communicated this incorrectly, confusing our vendor and costing us more! With floral costs de-emphasized in our budget since our first meeting, she dropped a $10K floral proposal on us at 11:43am Dec23rd, convenient since she was out of office starting at noon for the next 10 days. We respected her family time and didn't contact her, but we had so many questions. It was very stressful. At our design trial 2 weeks out, the linens from her recommended vendor weren't correct. It took her 5 days to send an email to the vendor to address it, losing precious time to fix the issue or an opportunity to pick out a backup, if needed. I was stressed unnecessarily with something that a coordinator is supposed to do. Our vendors provided a draft schedule a month in advance, but it was dropped on us too late to work with her and our vendors to make needed adjustments, and ultimately she failed to give everyone a schedule - a key task for a day-of coordinator. On wedding day, it showed. When her highly recommended hair/makeup vendor was running hours late, Stephanie was a ghost, she didn't help manage her vendor or find a fix - but instead gave my mother a countdown (as if my mother worked for her!?) when she should have been in the room. Her absence and pressure on my mother stressed out a situation that resulted in my hair being ruined - a stringy mess, not big princess Kate curls. We lost our first-look and wedding party picture time. Guests were congregated in our picture area - a good coordinator would have been there to move them along to the shuttles - she was a ghost and I lost my bridal reveal moment. At the church, she didn't even have the "day of kit." She didn't have anything for me to touch myself up before we were announced in the ballroom. When I reached out in the days after the wedding to express disappointment and ask a question about the transportation overage costs, she never even responded - let alone apologize or take any responsibility. In a word, unprofessional. The planning snafus wouldn't matter if the wedding day went well. In hindsight, it shows a pattern of everything appearing to be polished on the surface with no true follow through behind it. I trusted Stephanie with the biggest day of my life and I feel completely betrayed.

Finally she found someone to cover but told me sorry there won't be any decorations or goody bags like and we will credit you $50. Here is my list of what didn't happen that should have: no robes, no magazines or music, only painted nails no mini mani pedis, used smelly kitchen towels instead of bath towels, brought 2 bottles of sunny d and said that was the drink fountain, and used acne face scrubs which burned their faces because they are all 7 year olds! It was a spa day for 10 people. The person who does the manicures and pedicures arrived nearly an hour late, and was the only bright spot since she still somehow did everyone. Then the owner finally showed up 2 hours late. Immediately demanded we pay the tax; not for the deal price, but for the whole normal price. We went with it nicely. After that, she left for 1 1/2 hours without telling anyone. Apparently she had to go purchase vitamin water for the "refreshments" they provide. Even then the owner was grumpy and moody the entire time. She gets through 1 massage and then tells us she is also going to be doing the facials as well. In the end only half the massages were done, and just 3 facials. When we asked about doing something special for the bride in the future to make up for everything, she ignored us. Any attempt to call and leave message have been ignored as well.
