Great service here. I've been coming here about once a year over several years. I'm always in and out within 5 minutes. I don't have fancy watches -- just the $100 range, and usually just need a battery. Friendly front counter. I'll use this place forever. read more

Ring the buzzer to be allowed in. Once in, you're greeted by a walkway lined with plastic shields and the most delightful fragrance of a clean dentist's office. I know my pieces are going to be treated with precision and grace. Staff are masked and safe. Professional and respectful, a velour-lined jewelry tray is presented for you to lay yours in it for inspection. Japanese elegance in hospitality and polite service are the norm. And that's on top of great pricing, no-nonsense conversation about what is needed for your timepiece's repair or restoral. Mine were my own tray of Guess and Gucci pieces whose batteries had expired, and a Bulova which needed some scratchy buffs removed and the heavy metal link band restored to its former greatness. The results were phenomenal. And great value. Convenient location and excellent service. read more

Fixed my watch and didn't even charge me. Highly recommend. Seemed to have a good selection as well.

Been coming here for years.. great family owned business, will buy my jewelry here everytime I come to Philly

There are a few problems with this store. First, they charge above retail on old stock. Many items sit on their shelves with already dead batteries. They also won't refund your money on returns and rarely honor their own return policy. They'll claim the watch looks used even if there's little evidence. Anything to save a buck! Lastly, they charge $3-$4 more to replace a battery than anyone else. They're slimy and I'll never spend a dime here again. read more

Quick and painless. Came in here and needed the bracelet of my watch resized due to a specific screw. The guy in the back did it while I waited in like 5 minutes and cost only $6. Will definitely be back for any watch needs! read more

It's a small mom and pop jewelry shop- the owners are fair, honest and kind. I can't understand the negative reviews here but i know it's hard to please everybody and not everybody is reasonable either. People are quick to blame others. My husband bought my engagement ring from them- I wanted a specific design so it was made that way and I was very pleased with the result. Since then, I had a number of friends go to them for getting their engagement ring made. They also replace watch batteries and boy, they're fast! Very affordable as well! I see one reviewer here complaining about getting crap value for gold and come on, this is not a pawn shop- if you're unhappy with their offer, go somewhere else. How are you going to give a 2 star review starting with DONT TRUST THEM WITH HIGH END WATCHES supported by 2 paragraphs complaining about trading scrap gold for cash? Something doesn't add up here and the review is ended with "don't think jewellers row is any better"? Mm Hmm. Anyway, I highly recommend this place! read more

So glad I found this place! $6 to remove a link from a Fossil watch and $8 to replace the battery in my Michael Kors watch - you can't beat those prices! I had gotten a quote for $20 and $35 at the Watch Company at Two Liberty next door for for the same services, respectively, so I would highly recommend coming here instead. Great customer service and fast turnaround. A+! read more

Friendly little shop with everyday watches for sale and they also do repair & batteries. I needed a new battery and stopped by when staying at the Westin across the street - took about 2 minutes and the charge was only $10.50 in downtown Philly! I'd definitely come back here again. read more

Very glad I stopped in Liberty Time today to have a watch battery replaced. The lady who owned the shop immediately greeted me and was very friendly and helpful. I was in and out in less than five minutes for under ten bucks! Definitely will come back when I need another battery! Great service and very affordable right in Rittenhouse Square read more

I brought my iPad in for repair and got it back good as new in 10 days got a very reasonable price. All of the staff I interested with were helpful, professional, and friendly. And they're right across the street from my office! Support this wonderful small business! read more

Two or three years ago (from March 2021) the clock I got for retirement was knocked off my desk and stopped telling time. I found Liberty Time (easy web search). They said it was tricky because of the way it was put together, the part they ordered wouldn't fit, but they ordered another, said they had to mess with the clock in ways you're not supposed to have to, but I can't see any signs of damage, and they fixed it! It took a long time, but it now works fine, and looks fine. read more

I had an expensive watch--well, at least an expensive brand of watch--that I brought here because the second hand had come off and I thought the time-setting mechanism was broken. I brought it in on a Saturday and they said they would call me with an estimate for it on Wednesday. That seemed like a fairly long time to get an estimate, but they called me early, on Monday, and informed me that my watch had been fixed and was ready to pick up. The total cost was under $20 and they explained to me that my watch had a peculiar way to set the time, i.e. the time-setting mechanism was not broken. Fast, nice and inexpensive. I cannot complain. read more

DONT TRUST THEM TO FIX YOUR HIGH END WATCHES ONLY LOW END WATCHES .Also dont trust liberty time jewelry for trading scrap gold for cash in philadelphia, pa they dont give you a fair price. i sold jewelry to them before. they don't count your gems or diamonds as value which is totally a lie. they do have some value . i began to wise up and bought a jewlery scale on amazon i also converted the weight in grams using the many websites online that give you current scrap gold value for the day. this will give you some idea of the value.i went back in to trade in gold with a idea of what it was worth ,and they low balled me on the trade value .i told them what it was really worth and they only offered me a 3% increase in price. they also claim if you have a item thats light weight they offer very little ..one time they offered me $15 for a 14 kt braclet all light weight gold items arent necessarily automatically a low scrap price. also they dont give receipts for jewlery sold. i went to other jewelry stores who give receipts in case you need proof of funds. so buy a scale if you have lots of jewlery. the only thing i have to say good about them is they probably wont steal your jewelry. But I only gave them a few piece. i had a jeweler steal my a piece of jewelry when i gave them a bunch of jewelry at once to weigh. so only show one peice at a time.theres a store one block from jewelry time near cvs really don't trust them there next to enterprise car rental on 19th street. dont think jewellers row is any better. read more

I went here to get my watch repaired. My watch band recently broke and I needed to reconnect it to the dial. It took about 5 minutes and $9 bucks to repair the watch. Would come back for future watch repairs! read more

$8.64 to get a link band for my watch resized. Took 2-3 minutes. Was in and out. Great shop.

I had taken two watches to several different stores to try and get new bands for them and had been told either "sorry, we don't have those" or "they would be special orders and it would be about $150 for both of them. Tried this place on a whim after seeing someone discuss it in another review and was very pleased. The bands were special order, but it was $85 for both of them and they're from the original watch makers. Took a few days to come in, but less time than was estimated. Got new batteries while I was at it. Very helpful staff and looks like a great selection of new watches and jewelry too. Far less expensive and much less attitude than the place next door in the Shops at Liberty Place. read more

This place is awesome. They took 3 minutes to change my battery and charged me $9. I tried to have my battery changed at the watch store in liberty place and they tried to rip me off and charge me $40. read more

Super fast service. Brought my watch in for a battery replacement and it was done within minutes - and for just $7, to boot.

The gentleman who attended to us was very friendly and quick. We were in and out in less that 10 min and the service (watch battery) $25 came with a 3 year warranty. Couldn't have asked for more. read more

Just stopped in to get a new battery for my watch... I had allotted 15 minutes for the process and was absolutely shocked when he came back out in less than 2 minutes with my ticking watch... for only $6! The couple was very nice and wished me on my way. Would absolutely recommend! read more

Stopped in to get my watch battery replaced. I was in and out in less than 2 minutes. Only cost me $8.64. I cannot speak to the longevity of the battery, but the one that came with my Fossil watch only lasted a year, so as long as I get that much out of it, I will be happy. read more

They replaced my watch battery for about $7 in under 10 minutes and the employees were very nice. Maybe I just came at a weird time but this place seems to attract some sketchy clientele... read more

I ventured into Liberty Time for a new battery for my watch during my lunch hour and I was so impressed by the service and timeliness of the service. It only took the kind watchman 10 minutes to replace the battery and sent me on my way! I will be back next time my watch stops ticking! read more

Recently relocated to center city and was in need of some watch repair. I asked around to see if any of my colleagues could recommend someone and got nothing but blank faces. Then it hit me. I turned to yelp for a recommendation and as usual my fellow yelpers did not dissappoint. Enter Liberty Time. I walked in (open door, no annoying buzzer to gain entry) and was greeted by a very pleasant woman who told me it would be no problem to fix the watch. She walked in the back with my broken watch and walked back out with my fixed watch less then 2 minutes later. The repair cost under ten bucks. The whole process was pleasant. I have more watches in need of various repair work and now i think i have found the perfect place to take them. read more

I had a watch band replacement here, and they did a fairly good job (I found out that the leather band had a scuff afterwards, but it's not terribly noticeable) at a fair price (the watch band proved to cost roughly the same on Amazon), and really quick--I walked in and out in 15 minutes. Unfortunately, when I went in for a watch battery replacement, the "new" battery died after 2 months (by then I'd lost the receipt)--and it cost 2x what it costs in Chinatown (I found this out after the fact)! The Chinatown battery has been going strong for a year now, so I don't understand what happened there. All in all, I'd just go to Chinatown to get my watch parts replaced in the future. read more

For less than the price of a watch battery at a drugstore, they will put it in better than you can too! And in about two minutes! No point in doing it yourself, which I was going to attempt. read more

I quickly and easily had four watch batteries changed here the other day. I dropped them off and was told they would be ready in half an hour. Considering it was a Saturday afternoon and I had four watches, this was more than reasonable. Overall, I was satisfied: it was quick, painless, and fairly priced (about $8/watch) -- can't ask for much more than that! read more

They were fast, had me in and out in 2 minutes. I was only getting a watch band fixed, so it's not like that should take too long, but it was QUICK nonetheless. They do have a $7 minimum on credit card purchases, but I should have expected that going in. I will definitely be back for any watch repair I have in the future. read more

I have been going to Liberty Time since 1998 and I am still going to Liberty Time. The owners, who are Ester and John are wonderful people, I have bought many items from them, and the repairs they do are excellent. They are great people to deal with, they really care about what you are looking for and go out of their way to help you. Once you go, you will keep going to Liberty Time. I am so happy I found this place in 1998. Christine M. read more

I biked over to Liberty Time from West Philadelphia to have the band on a Citizen Eco-Drive watch shortened. They did it right then and there. $10.80 and less than 5 minutes later I was heading back over the bridge. It took less time to get my watch fixed than it took to head over there. Wonderful service, kind, courteous staff, and quick. What more could one ask for? read more

I walked into this store this morning, a place that I had gone to from time to time over the years being a long-time resident in Center City, Philadelphia. I was able to get a new battery for my wrist watch within three minutes. The young lady was professional and graceful. The price was very reasonable. It was a most pleasant and rewarding shopping experience. read more

This is my favorite place in the city to get my watch batteries replaced. Very fast ,pleasant, and efficient service. They were even able to fix the band on my favorite Skagen ceramic watch, and their pricing is always good. I would definately miss them if I moved from center city! read more

they changed the battery in my waterproof watch in 10 minutes, while I waited, for $13. I have paid $50 at other places to have the battery replaced in this watch. This place is a total rip off!! I spent 19 dollars to get my watch battery changed on a michael Kors watch...it's not a Rolex or anything so I think that battery is pretty expensive given the watch but the guy told me this watch needs a special "good" battery...cut to two months later, it's dead again. This watch worked for 3 years before it died..now I got a battery for like 5 dollars and it's been working perfectly for months...I would avoid this place it seems like a rittenhouse rip off to me! read more

Needed a new watch battery and originally took it to Macy's and they were going to charge me up to $50 and it would take 2 weeks! Stumbled across this place and they got me a new battery, fitted it, and polished my watch for under $10 and in about 5 minutes! This shop was a lifesaver. read more
