Funny thing is I grew up in Washougal Washington right next to stinky Camas. Lol. Camas has the only movie theater and its name was the Liberty Theater. Walking into this theater instantly took me back to my childhood. It's dang near identical. I will probably end up doing some research to see if they were built by the same franchise/owner back in the day. The ticket booth is located down the street- really that is our only complaint. For the tourist it was a very minor difficulties/confusion. But once inside I felt like I grew up here. Now I've said this and many other theater reviews- You already know that snacks, popcorn, water and sodas are outrageously priced, prepare for that and don't complain. With that ..... This is one of the worst theaters I've ever gone to when you go inside it's like being in old times back when I was a kid it's not updated at all very little update I think they did one theater they updated a tiny bit shitty chairs still and they keep the same movies over and over and over and over how pathetic you can't update in the times and then they have very limited showings on top of that how pathetic is that I mean people like to go to the movies in the afternoon and mid morning like other places in other states The chairs are horrible I swear to God they remind me of the chairs when I was 10 years old and that would've been in the 70s currently they've had the same movie showing for almost a month how pathetic if you can't update your theater movies then won't be in business read more

Amazing service, comfy seats, and a staff that made me feel so welcome. At the last moment the theaters projector broke, everyone went to the upstairs theater, but they didn't have an elevator for my wheelchair bound sister so we had to choose a different time today to watch the movie The manager.......looked like he was about to cry, gave us free tickets to the next showing, gave us a $50 gift card, and mysteriously the next showing of the movie was in their sister building on the ground floor 6/5 stars read more

Not sure what is up with the movie theaters in Wenatchee but they are strange. The seats are definitely old and really uncomfortable. The prices for the movies is crazy too, $8.50 for a soda with no refills. They have a strange assortment of candy...like they don't carry any type of m&ms but have chocolate covered raisins. read more

We were visiting Wenatchee and came here to see "Logan Lucky," and it was the perfect experience: there's nothing like seeing a good film in a well-cared for theater, with a clean presentation and friendly staff. The seats are comfortable and spacious (with cup holders!) and the temperature was cool without being chilly. The popcorn was fresh and the Junior Mints were frozen. Support your local movie theater! I love artsy, cool movie theatre's. this place is schwanky, great vibe, great acoustics and immensely awesome. If I lived here, I would go to a movie every weekend then hit the killer pizza two blocks away at McGlinn's...a definite win-win read more

I completely understand being charged for a water cup for tap water, but paying the same price as a soda! Not ok. And there is nothing that posts that water is priced the same. Very scam-oriented. The girl should have said, "it's the same price as the soda, would you still like it?" I won't be coming here again. read more

The 'Show Palace of Wenatchee' is a vintage old theatre, and from the looks of things, even with some modern rennovations the place still looks a lot like it did when it was originally built. It's got some antique advertisements still intact on the outer walls, and the inner woodwork and decor is still in evidence. They did apparently change what was once a massive single screne theatre into one big auditorium and two smaller upstairs theatres, but it didn't seem to harm the place one bit. Popcorn was surprisingly good, but as usual, the prices were a bit steep for snacks. Also, the entryways are just strange! Hard to get in or out of the place, but I think that's probably a holdover from earlier days. They validate parking there too, so if you catch a show, go park over in the Liberty Parking across Palouse street from them. Can't beat free parking, especially since downtown old Wenatchee doesn't have the best parking to begin with. read more

Went to an afternoon movie at Liberty theater. Surly help at food counter. Stale, cold popcorn. All way over priced. Total with tickets came to $41.50 for two. Just not worth it. read more

What an amazing adventure. This theater was originally a dance theater so the main cinema is the old original room. The upstairs cinemas are the old balcony spaces and the annex (down the street) is the old Wenatchee World building. It's is a fun reuse of history and a great little date-night excursion read more

The Liberty Theatre consistently puts adult movies upstairs. The kids, horror, teen movies are downstairs. My husband is disabled and has trouble going upstairs, and once we are up there, the seating is hard to get to unless you are lucky enough to get on the top row. We would go more often if it were easier for us to get to the movie. read more

I love this Theatre. I have been in many Theatres over my lifetime. I use to life down in California and Nevada. I know theatres. Liberty Cinema is a fun experience because it shows current films in a theatre that just screams character. The movies are even more fun upstairs where the screening environment seems to be a bit more magical. The concessions smell good, but outrageously priced. However, to be fair, most theatre concessions are terribly overpriced. The facilities are clean, and the workers are adequately friendly. The parking is conviently located around the corner, and even the parking attendant is friendly. All in all I enjoy all the movies. The picture quality, the atmospher, and the experience are all top notch. read more

Very beautiful building with great character but rude staff. They kept creeping into the theater and staring at us, they left me feeling uncomfortable. There is also very little sitting area to wait for your movie if your a little early. I haven't gone back since, not even if the movie I really want to see is there instead of Gateway, I will never go back to Liberty. read more

My first visit to Liberty Theater will also be my last. The movie started fifteen minutes late and the staff were anything but welcoming. They kept popping their heads in to glare at us so that we wouldn't . . . what? Steal the seat cushions? Pull out our own bag of red vines? I'm not sure, but it was creepy. Then they literally stalked us out the door as if they expect everyone to duck into another theater. I always buy my ticket to the movies, thank you very much. The staff is rude and inhospitable so I'll be spending my money at Gateway Cinema from now on. read more
