However this past year he dodged my emails/phone calls, my husband's emails/phone calls, and my elderly mother's emails/phone calls (we all file separately). He once picked up the phone and then pretended to be someone else when he realized I was calling for an update on my taxes. He lied to us about filing for an extension and took forms from my mother that he never returned. Ultimately he stopped replying entirely and we had to look for a new accountant, several months after the filing deadline. I just got a notice that I owe several thousand dollars in late filing fees because it turns out he also lied about getting an extension. I don't know what is going on and while I wish Steven no ill will, please do not work with this firm or him. I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

Receive a response from Steven that they're currently evaluating their capacity and will get back to me in a week. I respond immediately asking if I should follow up in a week or if they'll let me know? *CRICKETS* December 26, 2019: Ask for an update. Hear nothing, follow up with an inquiry through their website December 31, 2019: Receive a response from Steven apologizing for letting this slip through the cracks. They have room for new clients and ask for information. I respond an hour later with the information. *CRICKETS* January 19, 2019: Another follow up. Ask for an update. *CRICKETS* January 31, 2019: I give up.
