I don't usually leave reviews, but I feel it's important to share my experience so others can make informed decisions. I enrolled in a course through Tax Liberty on South Ventura Road and completed it, including the California state portion. However, I was later told it wasn't submitted--despite having done all the work. After finishing in December, I followed up in January and spoke with Yvonne Ramirez on January 23rd. She acknowledged that the state portion hadn't been submitted and asked if I wanted her to do it. She quickly logged into my account and noted it showed 75%, which was confusing since I had completed everything. I trusted that Yvonne submitted everything properly, but it turns out it still wasn't reported to CTEC. This issue continued unresolved for months, and I've had to constantly go back and forth with them. To make matters worse, I lost access to my account. I never used my email to log in, only a username with a shared password used by multiple students, and I couldn't reset it because it wasn't linked to any email. Eventually, someone from Tax Liberty reached out and created or linked an account using my email to help me reset my password. Once I logged in, all my coursework--federal, state, everything--had been wiped clean as if I never took the course. How can I be expected to resubmit or complete something when access was taken away and then reset with all progress erased? This whole process has been extremely disappointing. I paid for the course, completed it, and did my part. I expected professionalism and proper follow-through, but instead, I was met with miscommunication, technical errors, and a lack of accountability. This experience felt even more personal when I realized the dynamics involved--connections and friendships that may have played a role in the way I was treated. I say this not to attack anyone but to point out that professionalism should always rise above personal feelings or associations. In hindsight, I should have gone with a more reputable company like H&R Block, where I've had positive experiences in the past. Unfortunately, I was referred to this program through someone I worked with, who also had questionable professionalism. All that said, I leave this review not with bitterness, but with the hope that it will help someone else avoid the stress I went through. I trust that God brings everything into the light and that justice will be done in His timing. Be cautious, ask questions, and document everything when dealing with programs like this. read more

You would be an absolute idiot to go to liberty tax for them to prepare your taxes. When you can have it done for free these people want to charge $400 for 10 minutes of work. read more

I visited Liberty Tax on 10/28/21 located at 942 Ventura Rd to do a tax amendment. The representative that address my issue was Ivonne Ramirez. I don't have the words to describe her professionalism. From my entrance of the business to end of rectifying my issue she was exceptional as she demonstrated patience and diligence. Ms. Ramirez demonstrated her knowledge and expertise that allowed me to leave feeling extremely satisfied with the outcome . Liberty tax course!! On Ventura Rd in Oxnard, CA is a very professional establishment. I was interested in taking a tax course this year was a little I intimidated, but meeting with the instructor and asking question gave me the confidence to take the course. I'm glad I did! The instructor is very knowledgeable about the taxes and is very patient in teaching. Not only is she knowledgeable, she explains everything in detailed form where the whole class can understand the tax course and the NEW changes coming up for 2018. Originally, I would have given this particular Liberty Tax Service Office 5 stars. They were fast, efficient, and save me much money.
