Having branches all over the island is a big plus too. Twice we needed a notary for some personal business and they quickly scheduled us on short notice. They really know the meaning of team work and you can count on them to get the job done professionally and promptly. Some escrow officers even go the extra mile and will reply to your emails on weekends, which can be very important when you're in a time crunch.

I had the absolute worst experience working with Rose Bento, during the close of our home. She is…read morenot only completely unorganized, but extremely rude and can not take ownership of mistakes. She was constantly giving one set of instructions, then changing things or someone else in the office would give us different instructions. It was so incredibly unorganized and it made the process so much more difficult and stressful than it needed to be. This was my 5th home purchase and I have never experienced this many hiccups or issues and most definitely not this level of snarky rudeness. Once escrow closed, we ran into more issues and instead of taking ownership, she completely threw our lender under the bus and flat out lied. Never again will I deal with this company and I highly recommend you stay away, as well.

I'm a reasonable person and rarely complain on these things but I actually was…read moremotivated enough to get on here JUST TO SAY: -the app and website feel like they're from the 90s (I've called quite a few times and seems like all the employees are over 50) -I once was stranded in another city with only one credit card upon which I made a $900 payment on FROM my HFFCU account. These guys froze the payment for nine days because "the payment was too big" so it went into some security freeze thing. I had to spend a couple hours on the phone with them getting transferred around -fast-forward a couple years and I've tried to get two measly little $5000 loans from them, with 750 credit score and income verification for the last full year. they denied because they wanted TWO FULL YEARS. (really Wendy?) - oh also good luck with their weird versions of a "savings" and a "checking" account. They call it "draft"and "shared draft" which always caused major confusion and even the employees admitted that people had struggles with it when it comes to moving money around. Another sign that they have probably some 64-year-old guy named Gary running the website/user interface. I have relationships with five other banks and they all are way better than this one (even Bank of America, which is known to suck pretty bad) "credit unions are better"they say... Not this one.
