I rather my house be robbed than deal with this mess…read more They lock you in for so long on a contract that's like 3 years long and claim you get all these perks and stuff and warranties and stuff but they love to charge you extra for " stuff that's not included". The customer service is 0/10 and I mean it. I spoke to people on the chat and on the phone all equally rude, don't help at all and they will either end the chat on you randomly or hang up the call and don't bother calling you back. In the last week and a half I've spoken to about 6-7 reps all for service call that none could really manage to see how to schedule. And then the 2nd to last person scheduled the visit and didn't even tell me when it was, so the final person spoke with told me a date and time and I told her that doesn't work- why schedule a service call without asking the customer what works for them? Like I don't understand. If you vocalize how angry you are- they will end the call or chat. I've seen nothing but bad reviews and it's unfortunate because I'm stuck with the stupid device for another 2 years. I wish they would really work on their customer service skills and actually value their customers. I noticed they have a sorry response to everything but nothing gets fixed, so it defeats the whole purpose. Go elsewhere don't even bother.

Solid Alarm System and Capable Installation…read more We had ADT replace the non-central alarm system in our new home. The existing system was old and both prior owners had "forgotten" the master code (you can tell how concerned they were about security!). After some research, I reached out to ADT and they had a salesperson come by and do a walkthrough. She was thorough and pointed out some potential security issues. She was not pushy and worked within the budget we gave her. After a few "false starts" scheduling the installation, they agreed to do the installation off usual hours. The technician was prompt, courteous, neat and did a nice job explaining all the functionalities. We have used the alarm the past several days and have been quite pleased thus far.

I assumed the monitored fire and smoke alarm may cost something because they would not tell me how much it costs on the phone. I set up for the technician to come out. He informed me that the equipment was not free like I was told. It would be just over 2,500 dollars and that was after I was given a 600-dollar credit. So, in total my system would cost a bit over 3,100-dollars. I asked for another option and after trimming back the system that he designed it came to around 1,000-dollars. I am so happy that I had the foresight to not sign the contract before the technician came out or I would be stuck with a huge bill that I was not expecting. My advice would be to get a clear and detailed list of what will be installed and how much it will be before signing any contract with ADT.

It would have been a lot easier for her to tell me to call Verizon, get the new modem and then reschedule the alarm set up; instead she took the extra steps and really highlighted her dedication to superior customer service. Additionally, Alarm NE's response time when we accidentally tripped the alarm during the first couple of days really gave that sense of comfort and reassurance that a person looks for in a security system. Overall, the system looks great, is advanced yet simple to use and install and is monitored by a top-notch group of professionals.
