Last year the barber that had been cutting my boyfriend's hair for 18 years, retired. So, he referred him to someone in his shop. When he went for his next haircut he came home with a cut he could have gotten at a military base. It was a DISASTER! Brian has curls that most would die for, and they cut them all off So, the next time he was ready to get his haircut he came to Sherry. She cut his hair PERFECT! It wasn't too long, it wasn't too short, it was literally PERFECT! Brian never lets anyone trim his beard because they always screw it up, but I convinced him to let her try. PERFECT! My boyfriend lives in Phoenix, so the next time he needed a haircut he went to someone his friend uses. Again, he came home looking like a DISASTER! I didn't want to tell him it looked like someone had used a bowl as their guide to cut his hair. Needless to say, from now on he will be traveling 3 1/2 hours to get his hair done by Sherry. Thank you Sherry... YOU'RE THE BEST!

No explanation , no thanks, nothing about price, no goodbye. I think she is/was the owner. She just yelled to the other stylist about how they'd split my tip when she got back. I should have asked price but had no idea the cost could really possibly be that high. I did mention to the 2nd stylist that this look was not the coloring I was looking for at all. She really didn't have any suggestions and probably didn't want to get in trouble. I believe I kindly texted Sherry, the Owner, emailed her and called her several times. All of which she never responded to. I was overly polite. I do not recommend supporting this business, she doesn't deserve it. And definitely don't go to Sherry/Stylist/Owner for color or anything else. She did a terrible job, never apologized, never offered a refund or re-coloring. Was just generally dismissive to me. Go to Kristy at JCPenney salon at the mall in PD. Fabulous color and cut for amazing prices. I can't tell you anything about the other stylists but they all seemed happy & positive and supportive of one another. I've seen good reviews for many of them, but I really love Kristy. I think you may get a free conditioning treatment if you mention my name and that you saw a review.. Thank you!

I came in with a bad at home dye job (patches of faded green) and asked for a dirty blonde with highlights. I was expecting her to keep my roots, use an orange toner to correct the green (color correction) but instead, she had bleached my whole head. I trusted the process and trusted her. I restated what I wanted over and over, and showed her multiple pictures.. I wanted my roots to look natural (I'm a dark dirty blonde-light brown) as they grew in, therefore wanting her to keep my roots as they were and add in highlights/lowlights after color correcting. After the bleach was done, she went in with more bleach for highlights and dye for lowlights. Then put a toner on to make it not as yellow, which is what I wanted and I'm so glad it didn't come out golden yellow. However, at the end of the day, my hair was bleach blonde with barely any lowlights. I feel as if she should have saw that my roots were whiter than my scalp and not what I wanted at all. Of course I tried to like it and wanted to go home to mess with it and take cute pictures of myself, but I instead hated it, went to walgreens and got a box dye. I am very happy that she got the green out by bleaching it. However, she stated she was doing a color correction; bleaching is not color correcting. And the outcome was not what I was expecting. I paid $210 (price was $300 but got 30% off) to basically get my hair bleached since the lowlights didn't even show up. She also put in olaplex ($25 extra), which I thought was supposed to be optional, as stated on the website, but she added it in with the bleach without asking first. I should not have paid $210 for what I got.

I am not a person who writes reviews very often, but today I feel compelled to tell everyone who is looking for the best hair professional in all of Palm Desert and surrounding areas, Agim is the best! I am 69 years old now and let's be honest, it's a challenge to create beautiful hair for someone my age. My hair is thin, dry, brittle and gray. Agim miraculously turns my hair into something that I am very proud of. Do not hesitate! Some people might feel that his prices are high, but let me tell you, he is worth every penny. On top of his skill, his enthusiasm for what he does is over-the-top. I am always nervous about trying new salons as an individual with textured hair. The thing that put me at ease is seeing a woman of color in the Yelp photos. Arriving at the salon I was greeted by hello's and a very chic, modern interior. It is very minimalistic but inviting which I love! Less is really more. I arrived early so I sat in one of the many comfy chairs until I could by checked in. Adrian greeted me by name, sat me in one of the stylist chairs and we consulted about what I usually do with my hair and what I would like done. Then, I was whisked away to get my hair washed and blowdried by Mercedes. The conversation with other patrons and the staff was nice. The vibe in this salon was amazing. Adrian came over to cut and style my hair after he was finished with his previous client, (her hot pink peek-a-boo bangs were on point if I do say so myself.) Let me tell you, when Adrian does hair it is a labor of love. He was amazing with my texture, keeping length but also prioritizing my hair health, the cut, the style, the finishing touch of adding volume and laying those baby hairs just right!
