Do NOT rent from any Thrive Communities apartments. I just had to leave their managed apartment…read morebuilding called the Sophie in Poulsbo WA. I was held responsible for the negligence of the property manager who did not complete my second year lease application which I responded to within one hour of being notified of a need to renew. Two subsequent queries to that manager gave me reassurance that the lease was in effect. My autopay through BILT was billed $600 per month (penalty for month to month vs lease) for a total of 14 months ($7,777.25) before a random conversation notified me by a different replacement manger that I had no lease despite previous reassurances previously to the contrary. The regional manager for Thrive would not arrange for those penalty fees to be adjusted over an extended lease even though I was willing to have those prebilled rent payments factored into two years of leases. I wanted to stay in the building but felt that it was only fair that the fees somehow be compensated back. It was my original intent to live there for nine years, so I thought that dividing it over a two year period would show my commitment to the residence. The experience showed me that Thrive puts its financial status well before the residents despite having been given reassurances that the management had done its job. Beware of Thrive Communities. It can be VERY costly to your financial welfare. The same Thrive group manages the Oliver in Bainbridge and the upcoming Westerly in Poulsbo. Stay clear.

It wasn't so bad here when we first moved in - despite the fact that there wasn't even batteries in…read moreour smoke alarm or carbon monoxide detector... we didn't find out for weeks later; our garbage disposal was leaking from the day we moved in; mold in the bathroom (but I had to pay for someone to clean it); and the blinds were broken; carpet stained. But the rent was cheap. And that was what we needed. Flash forward a year and half... rent keeps increasing and the apartment is still falling apart. These used to be low income apartments - so they're structurally not sound and maintenence wise - were very much neglected. You can see it. Which would be fine, if the rent was still affordable. It's liveable.. but everything inside is old - blinds broken and falling off the walls; closet doors falling off the rails; shower rod fell and it took maintenence so long to replace it we just bought our own; cracks in the ceiling and walls; faulty weather stripping on our door so our heating bill is enormous; locks on doors breaking so we can't get into our apartment sometimes (even maintenence had a hard time using their key to get in and had to wait for me to get home - WE NEED A NEW DOOR!); contractors came and chipped a bunch of paint off our building and left; the landscaping crew blowing debris onto our porch and inside our home (due to the weather stripping); bubbles in the carpets of the 2nd floor above cracking ceiling; the laundry room is expensive and filthy (with people often getting into fights over use of the washers and dryers) and appliances often breaking and flooding the floor; dog poop everywhere on the grounds but doesn't get cleaned up; random beer cans in the parking lot and used needles; abandoned furniture in dumpsters and all over the grounds; sketchy people from the movie theater coming into the complex in the middle of the night and snooping on people's porches to steal; so much noise from neighbors past quiet hours but nothing is ever done about complaints; and there's never a permanent maintenance person so everything just takes forever to get fixed. The pros: The neighbors are mostly friendly and nice (that's more than half the reason we stay here. The rest was the affordability); lots of kids here; management is nice enough; it's a convenient location but those are the only real pros. The cons are not worth the rent they're charging and it just getting so dirty here on top of that... We didn't mind all the things that were wrong when the rent was only $1300. When it raised to $1700 just 1 year later we had to just grin and bear it because of the crazy rental market But we've heard it's increasing to $2000 in the Fall. We really just want other people to be aware of everything that's wrong at Winton Woods because it is not worth that price. There are no real amenities here - we don't even have a maintenence person currently.. let alone a dishwasher, washer or dryer. The appliances are specific to only some units, but we have to pay the same amount in rent as other residents that do have the appliances ‍ Tons of people have moved out and onto better places. You can go next door to Silverdale and get all the luxury amenities for the same price as here. Fingers crossed we'll be next to leave It sucks here. It really does. We want to leave before they raise the rent again but they charge you an additional $2000 to break your lease on top of everything else.

Turns out that my 460 sqft deck unexpectedly rotted and weathered, requiring the entire surface to be redone. His expertise pointed out structural issues that needed to be addressed when others never mentioned of it. During the entire process, from scheduling estimates to completing the work, communications were very responsive through email and phone calls. Richard provided options to fit my budget and was always willing to provide recommendations. No pressure was ever given to purchase or upsell unnecessary items and he was flexible to changes when certain upgrades were requested. While there were some delays once the project started, I was very happy with having Hedahl Landscape do the work. I was flexible to the project start date as they are usually backed up with other work, so 6-8 month lead time may be needed but was worth the fantastic quality at the end. + Excellent Communications + Clear Work Breakdown and Pricing + Accurate Estimates and Costs + Excellent Work Quality + Demolition, Waste Removal, and Site Cleanup Superb
