Don't use liberty mutual. I had a claim on my roof. They would only cover 1/4 of my roof. Statefarm replaced my neighbors. They seem to nitpick. When I have a loss, I don't need that. How do you match 1/4 of a roof??. They have had several lawsuits over their lack if coverage. Their is a reason their rates are less. read more

I applied for insurance quotes on line to a place that shops several companies. One of them was Liberty Mutual. I got a letter from them saying I was denied due to my credit. Since my FICO score is 825 - excellent- I wonder what idiot was reading my credit report??? read more

A customer of Liberty mutual damaged our vehicle and was found 100% at fault, their reps authorized repairs and payment and during repairs rescended and only paid half, expecting us to cover it after they had approved the original claim to be paid in full. read more

I have been waiting for 8 months for Liberty Mutual Insurance to help me settle a claim from a wreck caused by a driver insured by them. The claims rep NEVER answers my phone calls, the only response to my last 10 emails asking for an update has been "we will get back to you when we finish going over all the details." @USAA took care of coverage of my truck in less than 10 days and they paid VERY well, in fact I was shocked at what they paid me for my truck I LOVE USAA. My experience with Liberty Mutual Insurance is horrible and until I can get them to respond and properly take care of it, I want to warn all my friends and anyone that wants to hear it. I hope that they treat you well and better than what I've been dealing with, my advice is to RUN AWAY from this company a fast as you can. When looking up the tricky ways that insurance companies can manipulate people to accept a low payout by making you wait a long time for a settlement, by not respecting you and not answering your phone calls. The Voicemail of the claims rep even stated that she would punish those that call multiple times by making them wait longer. WOW talk about up front HORRIBLE customer service and threats. RUN FROM THIS COMPANY people. Please pray for me that they will recognize this HORRIBLE practice and they will not only respond but pay the proper amount. I should not have to go get a lawyer to get them to pay out. Insurance companies get paid THOUSANDS of dollars to protect when bad things happen and they gamble that more people won't need them than those that do. But when a company tries to increase profits by treating those in need horribly. People need to hear about it and be warned. I am VERY HOPEFUL that this review and the many others I am working to publish to warn people will be heard and I will get helped properly. If so I will consider revising my review to reflect how I am treated. So we will see how much they are willing to pay and settle. Will I get a call back finally? Will they respond to my voicemails, emails, tweets, my yelp reviews, google, facebook? I will be sure to update as I have placed a reminder for me to find new ways to communicate this and help consumers be aware of the risks of using this company until I am taken care of. read more

Let me preface- I am satisfied with my policies that I've purchased through Liberty Mutual, and this review is solely directed towards our Agent. With this said, Liberty Mutual is competitive on auto & home policies, and I especially liked the difference in auto coverage options, compared to State Farm. However, I am thoroughly displeased with my Liberty Mutual Agent, Kimberly Atkinson. Kimberly, in my opinion, is about as lazy, and inept, as they come. She hardly ever answers emails, or returns phone calls. I assume, unbeknownst to her, part of her *JOB* is servicing her accounts. More accounts = more money. Accounts are highly valuable in the insurance business. I couldn't tell you how many times my wife & I have had to go above, or have another Liberty Mutual employee assist us, because Kimberly doesn't seem to care. I'll be transferring our policies to another Liberty Mutual agency, as I don't think Ms. Atkinson should be the beneficiary of our business anymore. Laziness at its finest! read more

Call my agent Jeff Zaden Sun 817-914-6633 if you want to have the best experience... he is not in this office but this review has something to do with this office. I've called this office first because it's near by my house. The lady I was talking to has a very bad attitude and she doesn't know what she's talking about. She basically took my info and gave me a rate without explaining anything. She made me feel like she has better things to do. ***I've learned that most of the agents work in the Liberty Mutual office do not own their business and that's why they don't care about customer service. I've talked to so many agents most of them don't know what they are talking about and I was totally lost!!! The sad part was that most of the agents I've talked to just want to SELL SELL SELL me something!! I looked around on Yellowpage and found Jeff Sun's agency with great reviews http://www.yellowpages.com/arlington-tx/mip/liberty-mutual-insurance-sun-531694562#reviews so I've decided to give him a call. Shopping for insurance is painful but Jeff Sun makes it super easy!!! Jeff is very knowledgeable about personal insurance and able to give valuable advice on many different situations. He is very easy to talk to, courteous, helpful....adds up to excellent customer service. I've decided to give my business to Jeff Sun because he knows what he is talking about! I called and in less an hour he saved me us $700 per year. I didn't even have to drive to his office he took care of the cancellation for us and helped us to lower our mortgage payment. Very professional and I highly recommend him!!! Call him on his cell phone so you don't have to deal with a computer!!! 817-914-6633 https://www.yelp.com/biz/sun-and-associates-liberty-mutual-insurance-arlington-2?osq=LIBERTY+MUTUAL+INSURANCE this is the best agent ever! read more

I thought Liberty Mutual was one of the better insurance companies, but I've been with much better. My wife truck was rear ended at a red light on April 6,2016. We filed claim on April 7 and advised the Agent to have Liberty Insurance handle repairs, rental car and medical expenses and then seek reimbursement from Allstate (the driver at fault Ins. Co.). Liberty Mutual Agent Jason and I were in agreement, then had car towed to repair shop Liberty recommended. After waiting several days without hearing anything I called and followed up with claims specialist Nicole G in which she told me Allstate was handling everything including rental. I didn't believe that answer because what would be the point of filling a claim with my ins if the other insurance is completing the repairs. Also the rental receipt showed Liberty Mutual as the responsible billing party. Then she placed me on hold for more than 10mins and I had to disconnect call and sent her an email asking if the everything was taken care of. I never heard back from her, then called several more times but didn't hear anything back. I had to take off from work early and call her manager Ronald E. on April 25 and explained that the appraisal was scheduled to be completed on April 13 and its still showing not completed, nothing has been done on Liberty's part. He advised he was sorry and admitted that Liberty had dropped the ball on this claim. He explained I would receive a packet in the mail via UPS with a settlement for my vehicle if it is totaled. I called again yesterday May 4 after leaving work early again to try to take care of this. Again left Nicole G another voicemail and then 30mins later she sends me an email stating she has been trying to get in contact with us, but she never calls. Here we are on May 5th and I'm still waiting to hear something back. I have been very patient and in the meantime Allstate has been contacting me since April 14th wanting to settle. This has not been a pleasant experience with Liberty, they have no problem taking money for our homeowners and auto policy but drag their feet when you have to file a claim. We feel like Allstate has treated us better than our own insurance company!!! When this claim is completed, I don't know if we'll stay with Liberty seeing how we've been treated throughout this process. read more

I had 2 policies with this company and they decided to cancel my home owners policy a month after my home purchase because the inspector said my paint on my shed was chipping(?) I decided to go with another company. When I called to cancel early, the customer service center said they will start process and my agent Kimberly Atkinson would contacted me to finish process. Well she contacted me and became rude when she realized I was taking my auto policy as well. She harassed me about who I was going with and what they were charging. I confirmed I was switching and asked for the amount I would receive back and that's when she said she didn't know she would have to call me back.......6 days later I call customer service to see if I could get an answer and come to find out Kimberly never processed the cancellation of either policy. Customer service apologized for my agents lack of fulfillment and canceled it right away.Terrible company! read more
