I am writing to express my extreme dissatisfaction with the way my claim has been handled by one of your adjusters, Erik. My experience over the last couple of months has been nothing short of a nightmare, and I feel compelled to bring it to your attention.
I filed a claim for damages to my house on July 2nd. When I first made contact with Erik, I tried to explain the situation regarding the buckling of my floors. Without making an effort to personally inspect the damage or send an expert to evaluate it, he immediately stated that Liberty Mutual would not cover it.
Following this, I contacted a manager who assigned Erik to personally come and inspect my property. Erik took pictures and proceeded to have a plumber inspect the issue. The plumber concluded that the damage was caused by moisture from a pipeline in the house - something that should be covered under my insurance policy.
However, soon after, Erik left for vacation without informing me. I was left stranded without accommodations, resulting in me sleeping in my car. His negligence in forgetting to approve my stay accommodation is not only unprofessional but also inhumane.
Upon his return, instead of expediting the resolution of my claim, Erik seemed determined to find reasons to reject it. Despite receiving the same conclusion from two plumbers, he insisted on having another engineer inspect my property, only for them to cite rain as the cause of the floor buckling. This claim is utterly ridiculous, especially considering we are currently experiencing a drought in Texas.
It's been over two months since I filed my claim, and during this time, I've suffered considerable stress and inconvenience, with half of this time spent sleeping in my car. The treatment I've received from Erik and the lack of transparency and integrity displayed by Liberty Mutual in handling my claim is unjust and unacceptable.
I urge you to re-evaluate my claim and consider the evidence and reports provided by the two plumbers who have independently come to the same conclusion. I deserve fair treatment, transparency, and a swift resolution to this matter.
I sincerely hope that someone in your organization sees this letter and takes immediate action. No policyholder should ever have to endure what I have experienced. read more
