OK. I can't say the service I got was bad. But, last year, all year, I went through cancer…read moretreatments, like 16 chemos, radiation, and surgery. I also went thru divorce and I managed to work the whole time anyway. They know all this and yet this place is THE ONLY place that can't find it in their hearts to completely drop the outstanding co-pays (which by the way, are not a lot 'cause I paid most of them anyway). Ya know what they said? It's because it was already in collections. The reason it's in collections is because they didn't do anything with my financial hardship application that I sent 3 months prior. Then I was told they didn't have enough info because they needed my tax return to get the whole story. In other words, THEY dropped the ball and now they're gonna do me the big favor, after wasting my time to send them all that stuff, of giving me half off. I hope they remember this when they go thru their own horrible stuff. ENT and ALLERGY STINKS and they join the very small group of horrible reviews that I've written in the course of my life, 'cause frankly I usually only take the time to write the good ones. Good, I hope they can really use my $80. And, I hope they lose a lot more than that from folks that read this and go elsewhere.

My experience with this practice is consistent with the negative reviews from other patients…read more I was referred to this practice in 2023 with fullness in my ear following a cold. A surgery was performed by Dr. Sujana Chandrasekhar that left me with a debilitating echo when speaking, making day-to-day life very challenging for years now. I also experienced the 2+ hour wait times for appointments like other patients, and post-surgery the doctor was unavailable for several weeks. I am grateful to two other doctors who have been working together very hard for 2+ years to fix the damage from the original surgery. After 5 corrective surgeries I have 75% of my hearing restored, though still with residual permanent damage. The management team of this practice has a real opportunity to introduce accountability, and improve operations and quality. I would strongly recommend others go to another competent practice in NYC.

She heard an irregularity in my heartbeat and recommended a cardio consultancy. The cardio technician asked why I had been referred and when I told him my doctor heard something he and the cardiologist kind of snickered and said, "His doctor heard something." Then they did the complete workup and confirmed a problem with a valve that I have to have reviewed every year. I told Dr. Lienhard this and she explained that she's very careful with her hearing because it's a very important means of diagnosis. For example, she wears earplugs in the subway. She reminds me of screenings I need to keep on top of. And when I've had to see her for a complaint and she isn't sure of the diagnosis, she's honest about it. She tells me that the signs are not clear enough for a differential diagnosis, but suggests a likely cause and asks if I want to try a therapy. Typically, she'll say something like, "Let's see if we can get to the bottom of this empirically." She's been a terrific doctor to me, my wife, and my mother (when she was alive).

If I didn't have a friend with whom I spoke with directly after this happened, I wouldn't believe it happened myself. First red flag was when I began to exhibit hypothyroid symptoms. She missed it entirely. She didn't even know I was exhibiting hypothyroid symptoms. So I suffered through the beginnings of an under-active thyroid. A couple of months after the thyroid problems began, I had knee surgery. In the recovery room the doctors at the hospital diagnosed me with high blood pressure and strongly suggested I see my primary physician as soon as I could. When I got home I contacted Dr. Lienhard, as she was my primary doctor. She prescribed, at two different times, two different meds. I had bad side effects with both. When I called to inform her of the bad side effects of the second medication, she responded with, 'okay, so stop taking those pills.' And that was it. I hung up and called my friend whose friend recommended Dr. Lienhard. She said that was no answer and to call back and ask specifically what I should do. I did. I asked what else can be done other than to stop taking the pills? She said and I quote, 'What can I do for you? You need to lose weight [I wasn't overweight], exercise [I was and had been working with a personal trainer for a couple years already] and learn to meditate. I don't have any more time to waste on you. I'm hanging up now.' I called my friend back totally stunned and absolutely confused and hurt. I repeated the entire conversation, such as it was and said "she hung up on me." My friend said "WHAT?" She kept her head and was the one who told me to let this go for now as my blood pressure was diagnosed as dangerously high and I needed a doctor right away. I called my gynecologist with whom I've seen for almost 25-years now (and have highly recommended her to at least 5 other women who have all been super-satisfied with her) and she gave me my current primary doctor and the cardiologist (whom I've also recommended to others). I am alive today no thanks to Dr. Gisela Lienhard. She was recommended by a friend of a friend who could not believe what had happened. This person defended the 'good doctor' and vowed to find out the truth when she saw her next. Said friend of a friend never mentioned the doctor's name again to our mutual friend nor brought up the subject. I'm glad others had a better experience than me but I would never recommend her to anyone.

I just knew dilaudid was used and was so stressed that I didn't know what was the best solution. I guess I should have said a morphine drip. I had to suffer unimaginable pain with only 12 hour INJECTIONS of dilaudid. 3 months later, I was still in agony and had sciatica. Another MRI showed the compressed nerve had gotten worse. Have you ever scratched your cornea? I don't recommend it - the pain was awful. Anyway, after a trip to urgent care and a round of antibiotics (and a lot of tearing), I thought it was a good idea to follow up with an ophthalmologist - both to get my eye checked out by a specialist but also because I had never been to one before. My parents had recently been to Dr. Terraciano and had great things to say, so I figured it was meant to be and booked an appointment. This office is a family-run private practice; it was originally founded by Pasquale Terraciano and is now run by his son Anthony. In today's age, I'm used to outpatient doctor offices being affiliated with major hospital systems, so I was really surprised to see this office still standing on its own. That doesn't mean that it's behind the times - the office uses cutting edge technology and has a number of options to treat a variety of eye conditions. After being worked up, I met Dr. Terraciano and Dr. Ross. Both were very kind, thorough, and explained things that were easy for me to understand. I was ultimately diagnosed with an eye condition and they did a great job providing me with options that I could work with to treat it. Since my initial visit, I returned for a follow-up and had a similar positive experience. Everyone I interacted with in the office was friendly, and overall I would definitely recommend Dr. Terraciano if you're looking for an ophthalmologist.
