I went to this gas station yesterday because my car was so dirty I couldn't see out of the windows and needed a wash. I also bought gas. No problems there. However, the regular car wash costs $8. It is $7 if you buy at least 8 gallons of gas (which, btw, = $30 with current prices). They offer 4 types of washes, the $8 wash is the cheapest. The Extreme wash was $12. Yikes! I think $7 for a simple car wash is pretty outrageous. But it gets worse. First, there was a line. I waited for about 15 minutes. Second, when you enter the car wash, the floor/ground is so uneven that your car gets stuck and you have to rev forward or back. I went too far because of a big bump. A computer voice yelled at me "ba-up ba-up-ba-up" which apparently meant "back up" to any human voice. The wash just did an abysmal job. Spots of dirt remain. It does not get side mirrors. Worst of all, the drying system: the floor by the blowers was so bumpy it was impossible to get an even dry. My car got stuck and I had to lurch forward to get to the next bump to stick my tires. Overall, I will not be back. The car wash is a total scam. For a decent one, try the station on 70th and Main St (near state fair park). Better price and better wash.

Even though I paid at the pump, I went into the station to (1) inform the clerk that there was a problem, and (2) ask if I could use my prepaid car wash code at another BP location since it was taking so long to fill up and there was a big line for the car wash. Response to issue #1: Yeah we know, they have to fix it." Me: "Can't you put a sign up in the meantime indicating there's a problem with the pump?" Clerk: "I can't put signs up. You have to be higher up in the company to do that." Seriously? Am I on candid camera? Are Jay and Silent Bob around the corner?!? Response to issue #2: "I don't know. You can try it...." Great. So I'll drive to another BP nearer to my home just to "try it" and if it doesn't work, I'll drive back across town to hang out in line at this one. Oh, and thanks for the tip. I never would have thought to "try it" at another station to see if it works. Think this review is long? I've been typing it while in the car wash line. Fifteen minutes in and only half way through the line. Bottom line: don't come here.

For some reason this is the place I end up at only because it's the only name brand station in my memory with location. My daily driver is not as fussy and I end up here some times but the toy starts the the year here, do I need to go here for the good gas, probably not but I just feel better filling up here with a big brand name station.

I've noticed, though, if you are an energy drink person they don't have as many options for flavors as nearby gas stations. I rarely do, but when I want an energy drink, I want Monster Khaos and they never have it. Still love using and redeeming my Speedy Rewards here and I generally find it good incentive to go. Staff here does not go out of there way to ask it very often, at least those I have seen. If I didn't have it ready to go I think they'd let it go without saying something. Don't forget! When logging my receipt, I notice that I was charged almost $50, and take a closer look and see that I was charged for "super" gas at $3.99 per gallon, a whopping $1 higher than advertised. I have been putting gas in my car for over 20 years and know how to press the "regular" button. I called the station to find out if I'm imagining things. This was my conversation: "Hi, how much is your gas, regular grade?" "2.99" "How about your premium grade?" ""3.39" "Oh, I think your machine is faulty. I was charged $3.99" "no, that can't happen." "Um, I'm looking at the receipt. Can you check?" "How much does it say, total?" "$49.76" "Oh, you put in the super grade, $3.99" "I put the regular grade. And you just told me the premium grade was $3.39?" "Yes, the premium is 3.39, but the mid grade is 3.99." "Your mid grade is more expensive than the premium?" "yes. You just put in the wrong gas." So I should have looked at this while pumping, I guess, though I never felt the need to do so in all my 20 years of driving. It is "possible" that I put in the wrong gas - the MEDIUM grade that is MORE EXPENSIVE than the PREMIUM grade and called "super" on the receipt. But I really feel like this was more of a scam/shady business practice than me choosing the wrong gas grade. It just isn't the type of mistake that's so easy to make, and the price points for the grades all just don't fall into place. (Thank you fellow yelper for a picture of their gas pump - their gas grades are called "regular, silver, ultimate". They don't even have "super" which is listed on my receipt. Which is also the mid grade and more expensive than their premium.) It's too bad that the gas station is 30 minutes away and not worth the drive. It's also too bad that my faith in BP and honest business practices has been tattered and from now on I will have to be looking at my receipt and pump more diligently. What a shame.

The only problem is when you purchase it through the app like you're supposed to and show up to pick it up, the employees have no idea what's going on and will not honor what was sold. Other were 2 for $4 (yes, I am a fan of energy drinks. Please don't judge!). The one thing that I would like to see improve is having all of the checkouts open at the same time. At my last visit, there were only 2 out of the 3 registers open. Meanwhile, there was a line of people waiting to checkout. Not cool when you are there on your lunch hour and have a limited time to accomplish things. Things would have moved a bit faster if all of the registers would have been open. Despite that issue, I still like stopping here and will continue to do so.

The case with the donuts is mostly empty & is dirty. During the last snow the parking area & walkway was not shoveled & covered with snow, sleet and ice was very slippery. I am not sure I would trust buying any hot food anymore from this location anymore and the only reason I recently went there is because it has root beer on the fountain drinks which I love, but I don't think I will be attending this location anymore. There is another speedway on the corner of 60th & Layton that seems to be much cleaner, well staffed with friendly employees.

Very kind lady working was filling up the window washing station and we exchanged pleasantries. Prices were in line and competitive with the city.
