Ordered 5000 folded leaflets from them as they were much cheaper than our existing supplier…read more They arrived a day earlier than expected which was a suprise and when we opened them we were very happy! The leaflets were amazing, quality as good as our old supplier and all packed and wrapped up well so there were no damaged ones to throw away (unlike with our old supplier). The colours were great and the glossy paper really makes them look great. In all a great service and good products, recommended.

This is THE place if you love to make your own books. I'm a postgrad student with MMU and was told…read moreto come here to get supplies for bookbinding... it is literally a warehouse filled to the ceiling with materials for bookcovers and general bookbinding. I hopped a bus, walked through a very quiet neighbourhood and eventually horse trail (yes, it's where my map instructed me to walk!)* before reaching the front door. I was determined to get my bookcover materials!! I was a bit apprehensive, however, because you can't just walk in and browse. I had to ring a bell before someone opened the door to let me in. From here, I stated what I was looking for and then she ran off to find someone to help me. I was greeted by a very friendly man (I've forgotten his name!) who was more than happy to climb ladders and stairs in search of the right colours and materials for my bookcover. Definitely worth a visit if bookbinding is your thing! *I don't have a car, so bussing it meant I got to go the scenic route. They DO have a car park for those with a car.

I had pretty poor service here.... Settle in for a good read :)…read more One day I took in a Powerpoint file to be printed on A4 sheets to be cut into quarters, one of the guys told me it'd be done in around 20 mins and I left my name and number for them to call me when done. Off I went to find something to amuse myself for 20 mins ... ... 30 mins later still had had no call. So back I went to ask about my order, the guy who first served me was there but it was a different guy who checked on my order and told me it would be 'ready in a few mins'. Cue the printer which suddenly became active and then a girl taking a pile of paper to the guillotine - so seemed they hadn't even started the order. Once done, the girl brought me over the finished product and I was surprised to see that the coloured pattern on it was barely visible. The girl didn't seem to know what I was talking about and it didn't seem like she'd seen the original file (quality control anyone?) - so I asked her to open it on the pc so I could show her. She said that it must just be that the colour when printed didn't show properly and suggested I darken it on the original file. I mentioned that the test print I'd done at work showed the colour just fine, and she just said that their printer must be different. She just told me to go away and bring back a darkened image, didn't seem willing to try anything else to fix it. I mean, I'm not in the printing business but even I know that you can make things darker or brighter from the Print menu. At some point she also mentioned that when she'd first printed, the images had come out very small so she'd had to make them bigger. She suggested that I bring in a PDF so that nothing would be modified. Fair enough point. Though I had an inkling that she just hadn't set the PPT to print as A4, or something. Anyway, whilst all this was going on, I'm still there eyeing up the finished product and realised that they looked a bit big. I asked her for a ruler and measured the images (which I'd sized to fit into a particular size envelope). Lo and behold, they were indeed too big. I told her this and she said that she hadn't changed the sizes (despite what she'd just said a few mins earlier). And then lastly, I asked her to do another test print from the file so I could see how she'd printed it - so she clicked File .. Print .. changed size to A4 .. and printed.. and guess what.. they came out the perfect size.. haha. In the end, it seemed like she couldn't be bothered to try and fix the problems, and just insisted that I bring in a darkened image as a PDF, the next day. Needless to say, I didn't go back the next day. I did a better job myself with my home printer, a £10 paper trimmer from staples (ordered online and delivered to my door the next working day), and about 15 mins of my time.
Didsbury Branch very unprofessional and do not care about client deadlines…read more As a designer looking for a local printers I decided to choose your DIdsbury Branch. On this occasion I needed a poster printing and laminating. When I walked in your store one of the members of staff was sat on his desk eating his dinner, giving me the impression that he did not want to serve me. So I suggested should I come back when he had finished, which he replied yes. So I returned in half an hour with my artwork, stressing that it needed to be done for Friday (4 days time). He couldn't give me a price but insured me that it would be ready the next day, and he would give me a call when ready. 2 days passed and no call so I called the branch, asking for an update, he didn't have a clue what job it was, and when he did finally find the job, he admitted that nothing had been done but insured me it would be ready for Friday. Again I stress the importance of the poster been printed for Friday. Friday came and I went in to the store first thing, where the same member of staff said to me point blank there's no ink in the printer so we cannot print your poster. I started to explain that this was not acceptable as he had 4 days to tell me this and he didn't have the decency to phone me. He just looked at me and shrugged his shoulders. He could not care less. This caused a great deal of inconvenience and stress as I spent the whole day running round printers and laminating shops trying finding someone who could do it the same day, costing me over £400 worth of time as I could not complete other projects and attend client meetings. Before using this store I spoke to another customer who had used there services, where her exact words were "the quality of printing is good but you have to hold their hand every step of the way" I now no what she meant... I would never use this branch again and they have lost a good customer as I would have been bringing them regular work.
