This is THE place if you love to make your own books. I'm a postgrad student with MMU and was told to come here to get supplies for bookbinding... it is literally a warehouse filled to the ceiling with materials for bookcovers and general bookbinding. I hopped a bus, walked through a very quiet neighbourhood and eventually horse trail (yes, it's where my map instructed me to walk!)* before reaching the front door. I was determined to get my bookcover materials!!
I was a bit apprehensive, however, because you can't just walk in and browse. I had to ring a bell before someone opened the door to let me in. From here, I stated what I was looking for and then she ran off to find someone to help me. I was greeted by a very friendly man (I've forgotten his name!) who was more than happy to climb ladders and stairs in search of the right colours and materials for my bookcover.
Definitely worth a visit if bookbinding is your thing!
