Poor costumer service and sick plants have changed my mind about Giverny Gardens…read more I moved here about 2 years ago and have used this nursery for all my soil and potting needs. I don't often buy full-grown plants, but decided to treat myself to a cute English ivy. I brought it home, kept it isolated while it adapted to my place, and within two days the plant was teeming with spider mites. I threw it out and figured it happens sometimes, but went back to Giverny about a month later to buy the same plant along with some other goods. Again, I kept it quarantined from my other plants and, again, spider mites erupted within days. Before tossing the plant, I called Giverny to explain this English ivy issue and asked if I could get a refund or store credit. The woman on the phone was curt and rude, telling me that my home was the source of the problem and she would not issue a refund or credit of any kind. I reemphasized to her that both times I brought home a plant from her store, I kept it isolated from my indoor plants. Heck, the last time I dealt with this infection was years before I moved to Florida! But she said it wasn't possible it was Giverny's fault, blamed my home AGAIN, and that she wouldn't remedy anything. It's just dumb considering I've spent probably $500+ at this store over 2 years and she went on the offensive over a $10 plant. It's a headache dealing with spider mites, and it was ridiculous she wouldn't oblige me for a disease her store sent home with my plant. Nurseries get infections--I've been gardening for 11+ years and seen some gnarly places. As beautiful as the plants at Giverny look, I doubt I'm the first person to buy an infected plant from them. Hopefully the woman I spoke with reads this settles down and learns how to communicate with wronged customers--especially loyal ones. I've been shopping at Amelia's Smartyplants since and highly recommend.

Wonderful selection of very healthy plants. They really do try to take good care of it. Good deals…read morecan be found here. Their pricing often rivals Home Depot's. Many cool often rare things to be found here. Occasionally the staff in particular one lady has been a little snippy but all in all we go here quite often.

Ollie's is a chain of discount stores. You will see Ollie's bucktooth grin along with funny sayings all over the store. In 1994 the company started their loyalty program called Ollie's Army which you can sign up for on their website. For every $1 you spend, you get one point. Points move you up the rank and earn you discount coupons off your purchase. According to the company, Ollie's Army get you "good stuff...even cheaper". Currently there are 408 stores in 28 states, several of which are in Florida. Ollie's purchases company liquidations, overstocks, and older items that haven't sold, and resells them in their stores for a discount. You can expect to see name brand items. Ollie's sells a little of everything, cleaning supplies, garden items, books, toys, food, health and beauty, automotive, holiday decorations, home improvements, electronics, flooring, housewares, and so much more. I had previously shopped in the West Palm Beach and Delray stores and they were great for stocking up on hurricane supplies. Ollie's always has a ton of inexpensive K-cups and cheap and unusual snacks. I usually grab some candy as incentives for the kids at school. On this trip I found the snack size bags I use to pack portion controlled snacks for my school lunches. This is the kind of store where you come in for one thing and pretty soon you have a cart full of stuff. Check back often because the merchandise changes frequently and you will always find something new.

I'll start by saying I love this store! Great prices, good…read morestuff cheap, honestly my favorite place to do a lot of my shopping. Easily the best place to go for affordable home goods, rugs, even some clothes, random food items and especially for holiday shopping or any kind of gift shopping. The store has been more organized recently - good job on that end, employees! Now, on to the criticism... Recently every time I've been in here, I've been hearing the employees complaining very loudly about how they want to quit, can't wait to leave, etc. It's really beginning to show in their attitudes on the job. The last time I went the lady Trisha was so rude. My husband commented lovingly on how she shared the same name has his sister (who is deceased, by the way) and she scoffed at him. She was cursing loudly and proudly on the job, a surefire sign of serious unprofessionalism. I get that you hate your job but when you're being paid to be at a location, the least you can do is hold your tongue to all of the foul words you consider saying and work the job with a good attitude. If there's one thing I've learned through my years working similar jobs in my youth, it's that you should never take your home troubles and bring them into your work attitude. She was very unpleasant, short tempered, and absolutely pissed off to have anyone shopping in this Ollie's Outlet. Of course, I love Ollie's so I'll bear through it. Another time, I was ringed up incorrectly and when I pointed out that my discounts never came off, a different lady showed me a lot of attitude in trying to fix it. There are some sweet folks who work here - I'm not saying all of them are bad. But recently I've really been noticing how negative the work environment has become there. Some of the employees really need to show up to work and just have a good attitude. Some are fine. Either way I love this Ollie's and I'll come back, but it has been pretty bad on that end recently. I would give this 5 stars but a star is getting knocked off for a handful of the employees issues, and if I keep showing up and these issues continue spiraling down, I'll come back and knock another star off.
