They were looking forward to the Barrett 50 cal (it was worth it!), they shot pistols, revolvers, a range of full auto rifles. They have an outstanding selection for rentals! The service was amazing. One of the guys spent a lot of time helping the boys with each firearm in how to use it but most importantly, how NOT to get hurt. I spent a lot, but it was a special occasion and I wasn't going to say no to my sons. they had the opportunity to shoot what they wanted. The Barrett rental and six rounds cost me $100 for about 5 minutes, but worth every penny. One of my favorite days with my two oldest boys. Thanks Inner10!

This place is awesome for a number of reasons you might NOT have noticed, I'm going to go over a…read morefew here - It's small. You noticed that. There's not a ton of sq footage - but it means they didn't just "hire someone" to fill that space, seems to me that everyone that works there helps out, which is great. You're not getting random help. I had a transfer issue with the sending party just not understanding how email works. I came in, somewhat irritated that I got no answer over the phone. I'll admit - I was an ass - and it was one of those weird moment where you can see yourself being an ass out of body, but you can't stop it. In short -the owner could see and hear me asking questions about the process that I didn't understand (not my first, second, or 10th ffl xfer), but it's THEIR business to run, not mine. I beat up up on someone that didn't have access to the FFL books (which is a good thing these days, look it up), so he didn't have any info ABOUT my transfer - which really bothered me as I didn't want to spend 2 hours on something that should take 5 minutes. Owner figured out the issue with me on the phone with the other dealer in minutes. Problem solved. Owner is a bit introverted but once you get him talking - he knows his stuff. The guys (and girls) here aren't asses about their knowledge. They KNOW their stuff, and they don't shove it down your throat OR - here's the important bit for me - they are NOT a picket place for people's political beliefs. That's important to me. I get that elsewhere, I don't want it there too. I appreciate that they don't REALLY get into it with you there, which is great. Believe what you want, but let's have a good shooting experience. Their gun rental is NOT modest for the size of the place. They've got a few machine guns you're NOT going to find elsewhere - namely the MP5 SD with a full auto trigger sear pack. Just google what it costs to acquire one. Then consider what it costs to PURCHASE an HK (German) MP5, then consider that you're going to loan it out to people who don't treat it the way it should be treated (with care). Looks like it's seen action - performs like it should. Folks - that's almost 50k on the table in that one piece. Period. It's not cheap. Most important bit - I'm not nickeled and dimed here. Targets are cheap af, range time is by the minute. This is important bc I sometimes stop by to blow off steam, test a new load, or just send a few downrange to make sure I remember which end is the front. It's a part of my habit - stopping buy once a week or two to say hi and put 20 mins in a lane. Overall - solid 9/10. No one gets a 10, there's always gonna be a minor issue, 9mm is going to be 75c a rd, whatever - it's a cascade economy and that's how the pew pew stuff works. It changes. Deal with it. We all want it, it's going to cost more. I recommend this place for SURE. It's not a 3 floor facility with bunks and a lifetime commitment. It's a range and they know it. They don't care that I police my own Starline brass (it's expensive), and they've loaned me tools before. Good people, safe place, and they're local. Everything I look for in a biz. Solid recommendation.

I have had one foot in at this location for ten years now. I purchased my first pistol here, and…read morereceived my first ar-15 platform here as a membership gift. Ten years ago, they really wanted your membership, bad, and were willing to bend over backwards to get it, which is probably why I ignored so much and signed up. I was sold on the idea of more lanes, expanded services, and longer lanes being right around the corner. Well, they since have added shorter lanes, re-arranged a few times, and started talking about adding things that make no sense like a skating rink? First off - prices. They are HIGH. If you have pro plus super membership it's like not on sale optics planet prices, but if not, the markups for things like lights, red dots, ammo, etc, are big. Membership is also expensive, to the point where it's like high-end country club prices. Like, can I even justify this one to myself type prices. Shooting lanes - fine. Probably the best air circulation of any range in the area. 25y maximum. The restaurant and gym (future skating rink I guess lol) is stuff I don't care about or consider related to my gun club gun range experience. They also recently closed their Tekamah location, which was a huge part of the reason I signed up. Only to realize after signing up, that it wasn't just some open outdoor long range area I was allowed to use whenever, but an "event space" that was basically not open, and not something I could just go and use. Another sort of wishy-washy thing that was over-glorified to help convince me to sign up. "Armory Services". Used them once. To time a muzzle device on 9mm PCC. Pretty simple right? Would of done it myself but the one on there was on so tight I needed a torch and vice. Neither of which I have. So, after I picked up my PCC the polymer front end was scratched to all hell. Just completely totaled out. Like obviously destroyed, to the point where why did you even hand this back to me? Did you think I wouldn't notice? They rectified it eventually by replacing the ruined parts, but the absolute lack of caring involved in handing that back to me in that condition was unforgivable. Like rotating my tires and giving the car back with the windshield broken out, and not saying anything, just insane. Literally 88 Tactical's gunsmith/armorer is the reason why I have since purchased an entire suite of tools and started doing any and all "gunsmithing" myself. A vice, torch, and specialized wrench cost less monetarily than that experience cost my faith in humanity. Custom Service - the big one. This is where 88 tactical drops the ball in an unforgivable way. It's just as bad as the gunsmithing. If you actually needed the attendants/cashiers for anything you have to go way outside your comfort zone to get their attention. Like being very loud right in front of their face while still being ignored. The kind of unreal rudeness where you wonder if this guy is doing it on purpose to mess with you. They will have like three plus people in there that are SUPPOSED to be helping you, getting guns out of cases, asking if you want to know more about it, etc. I personally have stood next to a glass case, holding my range bag, staring right in the eyes of the employees, and had them ignore me for so long you have to go up them and be rude. You have to walk up to someone and say hey, I know you work here, I know you see me, we locked eyes like ten times over the last thirty minutes, what's the deal, do you not want to help me or is this some bet between the two of you to see how long I'll stand here before I walk out? OBVIOUSLY I want to get in this case! It's beyond unacceptable, considering the PRICE. For how much it costs even for membership these guys need to be all over you with the "yes sir right away sir" stuff or what really are you paying for? I've been in country clubs and it's the exact opposite of how it is here. You ask any employee for anything and it works it's way around to happening. If it's not possible they apologize profusely and do what they can to mitigate fallout. If you need something they can't help you with, they will get ahold of whoever can help you, and start helping you in a timely way. This place? This is like a game of trying to convince you to leave and cancel your membership without coming straight out and telling you to. Making you feel ignored and stupid and like you sure as hell don't want to give these people three grand a year plus some for very little in return. Overpaying for great service is basically just paying for great service. Overpaying for no service makes you feel stupid. I'll pay the range and target prices and go two or three times a year, but I'll never sign up or make an actual purchase here again. TL;DR- after a decade of going here off and on, and experiencing every aspect of this place at many different points, my advice is to use the lanes if you like, but avoid membership, the shop, and the gunsmithing/armorer services like the plague.

There is a multitude of classes offered at this facility, many of which involve marksmanship, self defense, rural patrolling and surveillance, survival, etc. Many of these classes are also offered to civilians for skill development, or even just as team building training for your office, Boy Scout Troop, My Little Pony Brony Support Group or girl's volleyball team. Did I mention they have a doomsday bunker built into the ground? The training staff here is fantastic, all with tons of real world experience. They'll have you out in the bush, snoopin' and poopin' like a pro in no time (think Rambo, G.I. Joe or the Predator, and I mean that actual Predator, and not that wimpy Schwarzenegger all cowardly-like and covered in mud). Did I mention they have a doomsday bunker built into the ground? If you set your training up, check and see if there is bunkhouse availability. Sure, you'll be camping like at summer camp with bunk beds, but you can also drink beer with the buddies and grill steaks, and for $50 a night you really can't beat that. They also feature a great members club and surprisingly good food for a gun range. They also have a fair selection of guns and accessories for sale as well. That's where the compliments end. 88 Tactical has horrible customer service. The staff in the store and gun range act like they can hardly be bothered to greet or help you even when you ask them to. I've had bad experiences with the staff during classes, when dropping off my firearms for gunsmithing, and when shopping. Today I stood at a counter waiting for an employee to help someone else, when he was done he took one look at me and then turned to help someone who came to the counter after me. I then walked around and looked at other products for about 10 minutes came back and watched him shuffle products around in a case for a few minutes before I asked him if he was helping anyone and he just said "I'm looking for something". I was in the store for 20-25 minutes and no one ever greeted me, asked if I needed anything, and actually ignored me. This is typical of this place. On another visit I had a counter person violently grab my pistol out of my hand when I handed it to them unloaded, slide to the rear, and grip first. The owners and managers must be exceedingly arrogant because employees usually mirror the behavior of their bosses. I would love to support a business like this with such nice facilities in the Omaha area, but I just can't give these guys another cent.
