This is a gun-lovers paradise. I've had a membership for about a year now and I should definitely be coming in more often to get my money's worth. The indoor range is very nice and has lights and various targets to choose from. Founder's Club has some of the best food I've had in Omaha, and you can't beat their happy hour prices for a quick, cheap bite! Their Warbird rolls are my favorite, it's like a pizza roll went to culinary school instead of the microwave. This company is nothing more than just a blow hard. Maybe they should spend more time on their gun range and their gun business, rather than diversifying into other areas. They have grown to be so big and so full of hot air that they can't even keep their website straight. I checked the website if they had a certain firearm for rent. I even called them and they said yes it is available. When I went out there after a thirty minute drive, they said they don't have such a firearm and I wasted an hour going back and forth. Hey, if you can't get the little things done like updating your website, good luck getting the big things right. So stop biting off more than you can chew. I bought a gun from them and they overcharged me and it took over ten days before that was sorted out. My friends brought their handgun there to have night sights installed, and it was installed incorrectly and the gun shooting off centered. What a joke of a bunch of blow hards. read more

Just to be clear this is a review for Founders Club restaurant, not the facility itself. We are members of 88 Tactical and enjoy coming to the restaurant for lunch and dinner. The staff is always very friendly and more than willing to accommodate your needs. The atmosphere is relaxed and you can come as you are. We stopped for lunch and had the shotgun shells for an appetizer. Jalapeños with cream cheese filling and crispy fried breading on the outside side. They come with three dipping sauces with the ranch being my favorite. They aren't too spicy but have just enough kick to them. I had the BLT and it was okay. Lots of flavor going on in the sandwich. The disappointing part was the bottom piece of sourdough was really soggy. I like good toasted bread for my BLT. I also wasn't a huge fan of the bacon jam that's was on it, and I usually love bacon jam. I would order without next time. read more

I have had one foot in at this location for ten years now. I purchased my first pistol here, and received my first ar-15 platform here as a membership gift. Ten years ago, they really wanted your membership, bad, and were willing to bend over backwards to get it, which is probably why I ignored so much and signed up. I was sold on the idea of more lanes, expanded services, and longer lanes being right around the corner. Well, they since have added shorter lanes, re-arranged a few times, and started talking about adding things that make no sense like a skating rink? First off - prices. They are HIGH. If you have pro plus super membership it's like not on sale optics planet prices, but if not, the markups for things like lights, red dots, ammo, etc, are big. Membership is also expensive, to the point where it's like high-end country club prices. Like, can I even justify this one to myself type prices. Shooting lanes - fine. Probably the best air circulation of any range in the area. 25y maximum. The restaurant and gym (future skating rink I guess lol) is stuff I don't care about or consider related to my gun club gun range experience. They also recently closed their Tekamah location, which was a huge part of the reason I signed up. Only to realize after signing up, that it wasn't just some open outdoor long range area I was allowed to use whenever, but an "event space" that was basically not open, and not something I could just go and use. Another sort of wishy-washy thing that was over-glorified to help convince me to sign up. "Armory Services". Used them once. To time a muzzle device on 9mm PCC. Pretty simple right? Would of done it myself but the one on there was on so tight I needed a torch and vice. Neither of which I have. So, after I picked up my PCC the polymer front end was scratched to all hell. Just completely totaled out. Like obviously destroyed, to the point where why did you even hand this back to me? Did you think I wouldn't notice? They rectified it eventually by replacing the ruined parts, but the absolute lack of caring involved in handing that back to me in that condition was unforgivable. Like rotating my tires and giving the car back with the windshield broken out, and not saying anything, just insane. Literally 88 Tactical's gunsmith/armorer is the reason why I have since purchased an entire suite of tools and started doing any and all "gunsmithing" myself. A vice, torch, and specialized wrench cost less monetarily than that experience cost my faith in humanity. Custom Service - the big one. This is where 88 tactical drops the ball in an unforgivable way. It's just as bad as the gunsmithing. If you actually needed the attendants/cashiers for anything you have to go way outside your comfort zone to get their attention. Like being very loud right in front of their face while still being ignored. The kind of unreal rudeness where you wonder if this guy is doing it on purpose to mess with you. They will have like three plus people in there that are SUPPOSED to be helping you, getting guns out of cases, asking if you want to know more about it, etc. I personally have stood next to a glass case, holding my range bag, staring right in the eyes of the employees, and had them ignore me for so long you have to go up them and be rude. You have to walk up to someone and say hey, I know you work here, I know you see me, we locked eyes like ten times over the last thirty minutes, what's the deal, do you not want to help me or is this some bet between the two of you to see how long I'll stand here before I walk out? OBVIOUSLY I want to get in this case! It's beyond unacceptable, considering the PRICE. For how much it costs even for membership these guys need to be all over you with the "yes sir right away sir" stuff or what really are you paying for? I've been in country clubs and it's the exact opposite of how it is here. You ask any employee for anything and it works it's way around to happening. If it's not possible they apologize profusely and do what they can to mitigate fallout. If you need something they can't help you with, they will get ahold of whoever can help you, and start helping you in a timely way. This place? This is like a game of trying to convince you to leave and cancel your membership without coming straight out and telling you to. Making you feel ignored and stupid and like you sure as hell don't want to give these people three grand a year plus some for very little in return. Overpaying for great service is basically just paying for great service. Overpaying for no service makes you feel stupid. I'll pay the range and target prices and go two or three times a year, but I'll never sign up or make an actual purchase here again. TL;DR- after a decade of going here off and on, and experiencing every aspect of this place at many different points, my advice is to use the lanes if you like, but avoid membership, the shop, and the gunsmithing/armorer services like the plague. read more

Visited this spot because my BF's friend is a member here. It's like a country club for gun enthusiasts. I didn't see any of the shooting facilities but I hung out on the patio on the second floor and sipped some bourbon which was amazing. So based on my very limited non-gun experience here it's four stars from me. Interesting concept that will be expanding to include a pool and other amenities. Worth the visit! I've been a member for over a month and have visited this establishment for multiple reasons. As being one tier below the top membership, I gained access nearly all amenities they have to off. Seems like the highest member ship is more beneficial for family who plan to use all there amenities along with endless discounts. I was given a tour by a super professional staff member named Katrina. She showed me nearly every inch of the building very quickly and a great presentation throughout. The check-in staff is professional and very knowledgeable. I asked them about an unusual caliber and they called someone from a different area to immediately answer my question. Range: The non-members range is basic. Has what you need and nothing extra. Comes with a target movement system to assist in displaying targets at preferred ranges quickly. Founders club range has all above but is cleaner and more detailed. Target system at each lane even offers games or drills you can partake in while shooting. (Unsure if other range offers this). They offer indoor pistol and rifles range. Restaurant (Exclusive to Founders members only + their guests) I visited the restaurant on two different occasions. The staff was attentive and informative over all the food choices. The food was displayed neatly and tasted delicious. The Calamari was different than previous versions I've tasted elsewhere. Pictures provided don't offer any justice, my apologies. 24/7 Gym: The gym is well maintained and cleaned often. I only visit after hours and there never seems to be "off" aromas. Several machines and lots of workout equipment options. It does offer a infrared sauna but unsure how to operate it. The pictures only shows a fraction of what the gym offers. Overall, I stand by my rating. This establishment has so much to offer and so much more to come. If you love sports and food then the Founders Club restaurant is for you. You can bring friends to do some shooting, check your weapons into a secured armory and get some food after. They also have another property with cabins and longer distance ranges. Range: Bare bones. Not climate controlled, but good air circulation for non-members. 2 25yd ranges available to non-members with 5 lanes each. Lines are painted on the ground to show distance. No timed show/no show targets for training. Targets they sell are huge. I grabbed the one with the smallest targets on them and they were close to 4" circles. I ended up stapling (brought own stapler) to their huge targets to get finer targets. You cannot move the tiny benches for holster work. Plus, you have to be holster qualified for basic holsters (not for appendix draw, but even for bucket holster on hip.) They had no one present in the 10-ish ppl I saw working there that could holster qualify me, so it reduced my training options. (I came to do holster work.) Range can handle all handgun calibers, but rifles are limited (plus their range is only 25 yds, so not great for rifle sight in, anyway. They seriously need a 100yd range.) Range price: on par with other metro areas...$22/hr for non members. Rentals: Small number of rifles and about 40 pistols. $15 per pistol. You might check to see if they have what you're looking to buy and rent it before buying. Shop: Shop has sky high ammo prices compared to Cabelas down the street. If you're a member, prices are closer to, but still higher than Cabelas. ($144 for 250 115gr 9mm or $89 for Select Members. They sell firearms, suppressors, and some accessories. Classes: 2 classrooms and they tout over 60 classes. I believe some are held off site, as their long range class goes out to 400 yds. Other: They have a gym with a dry sauna. It was decent in size. They have a bar & restaurant that looked nice. They are expanding to add a pool and kids play area. They have a rapelling tower. Membership: Gets reduced prices on everything and access to their climate controlled range upstairs. See pic for details on membership and what they entail. You don't know what you don't know. I happened to be a tag along when I first stepped in to 88 tactical and left being 1/2 of a Founder's Select membership. While he was getting his fingerprints done on the little machine in the lobby I was the supportive one with wandering eyes looking around at everything around me. My eyes gravitated towards the rifle sitting on top the table as you walk in the door, the glass cases holding fancy flashlights (of which I've learned the importance of having one of these on hand), optics, and other cool necessities for your needs. We stepped up to the membership desk to ask a few questions and was offered a tour by Dave as soon as he got back from another tour. David was incredibly thorough during our tour. He first started off by stating that 88 Tactical is a training facility first before anything else. I loved that he lead with that as I'm sure people unaware of what they have to offer would just write this place off as just another gun range. Boy are they all sorts of wrong! (Now, if all you NEED is a gun range for some decompressing, fun, and access to a great facility I know there are a bunch of great ones around and that's just fine too!) Along our tour we learned of everything they offer here, classes that range from tactical med, self defense, skill building for handguns or rifles, edged combat, and so much more including their outdoor range out in Tekemah. They also offer classes for children as well! Members have the option to use their conference room, a storage for suppressors or guns that are in their waiting period and armory services. They have a restaurant with delicious food and oh yeah even a 24/7 gym for Founders Select members. At the end of our tour I was asked if I would utilize the membership here and what thrilled me the most were the classes offered here! Here we were in the second month of 2022 and I was offered an opportunity to embrace new experiences and change all in one place! I excitedly said yes because just taking the classes would be worth it to me! I have since taken multiple classes, tactical med, Intro to Handgun, Skillbuilder for handguns, CHP class, and utilized the gym several times a week. 88 Tactical is a place where you can expand your knowledge, eat delicious food, release negative energy, and get fit all rolled into one. When you drive into the parking lot, it's definitely a 'work in progress' with all the major construction but for what they are planning to offer, it will be a great facility. Besides offering the gun range, there is the gun shop, weight room, and private meeting rooms. Bathrooms are clean and the only downside is that the eatery is only takeout unless you are a member (private dining). The weight room is surprisingly nice and well-kept. The staff are pleasant but the focus is on 'members only'. Once the skating rink is built and the cafe is back for public use, I would probably kick up the rating to 5 stars. read more

Who has an 18 month membership? Nobody would help, now constantly getting collection calls for 6 months of dues plus penalties. All for a mediocre range that doesn't know what it wants to be. A mediocre range, a mediocre restaurant, or a subpar gym. They closed their outdoor range in the middle of my membership which was the reason I joined, only to find out that the outdoor range was rarely open. It's time for the clientele and staff at 88 Tactical to stop pretending and acknowledge that the Founder's Club is an abysmal failure as a restaurant. Housed within the shooting club 88 Tactical, the restaurant went from bad to worse when it moved into a larger, sexy new space in the club's latest renovation. The few items that were previously executed with reliable mediocrity are gone from the menu, and what remains is a weak attempt at producing gastropub/steakhouse fare which falls so short that most of the meals aren't palatable. The service has always been odd....it's as if some of the gun club members wanted to use the ranges for free so they applied to work there. The waitstaff and bus staff seem poorly trained, unsure of themselves and just plain confused. Servers appearance at the table is inconsistent, they aren't knowledgeable of the menu items or ingredients, and they truly seem as if they just walked in accidentally to the wrong job. The ambience suggests fine dining, but this is the opposite of what you will get. Even simple items such as a breakfast burrito or a BLT from the brunch menu are strange amalgamations of different dishes, thrown together in some sort of attempt to create an innovation. Instead, you get mismatched flavors with high-end ingredients placed in combinations that just don't work. How can you ruin a BLT? Founder's Club can do it. I ate less than a quarter of the strange-tasting sandwich, and then upon looking at the travesty on my partner's place, which was also untouched, we left vowing to never make the mistake of dining there again. Here's my advice. Shoot at the range, have a drink at Founder's Club, and when you get hungry? Leave. read more

It was a full 8 hour class, and there was never a dull moment. Never got bored, tired, etc. He was amazing, the whole staff did incredible! Highly recommend this entire establishment, and just Chris himself was amazing. Have already started planning more trips for my family to be taught and educated. 5 100% The WHOLE establishment is 100% dedicated to making whoever walks through that door feel at home, whether you have a membership or not. I started out as a Patriot member. I just wasn't sure that I could justify the Founders level membership. I was wrong. After a few months I upgraded to the Founders level and have enjoyed the extra perks to the fullest. I typically make it to the range every weekend and have also been taking advantage of the Open Range days in Tekamah as well. I've taken several of their training classes in Rifle, Handgun as well as Tactical Med. All top notch training. The Founders Club has been a great experience for after shooting. We've invited friends up there for dinner and it's always fun to see their reaction. Dinner at a gun range? LOL. More like dinner at the Country Club. This is a review of only their gunsmithing and retail services; I have never shot at 88 Tactical or used their food services. I took my shotgun in for a yearly cleaning, and they told me it would be a week. Sure, sounds good. After calling the next week to confirm my shotgun was ready, now they say they've had a lot of business and it's going a three-weeks-plus turnaround. It just seems off to me - if you tell me it's going to be a week, then that means at the time you had a week's worth of business, so why would my job get shuffled to the back? Either way, I will have to wait much longer than I anticipated and would have appreciated if they had been honest with me from the beginning. As for gun retail, this place definitely caters to a specific price range that is more expensive than the average buyer. You won't find many pistols here for less than $1500, same with rifles. They seem to have a nice stand for AR building parts if that's your thing. In-store service seems distracted - they are very busy and seem harried most of the time. Do not book an event here...my Uncle had a family event and the "events" team I'm pretty sure are just servers from the restaurant. Drinks took forever to get to the point I just a opened a tab at the bar. Glasses and plates were left on tables from start to finish. The tables were set up in an odd configuration which made it hard for anyone to move around. The only plus, was the food was perfect, even though my 2nd grader could have done a better set up of the buffet. The worst part though was in addition to a 20% "service fee" they then add on a 20% gratuity. The gal did not clarify with my Uncle the service fee is for the tablecloths, use of the room, etc. Very shady if you ask me. The service didnt deserve a 5% gratuity, it was non-existent. They seriously should not be advertising events there as no one knows what they are doing. read more

The staff in the lobby were nice and directed me to the check-in area. Once class started, I was even more impressed.
