This store is one of the first retro stores that I have come to after moving from Tucson, where…read moreliterally EVERYONE just goes to Bookmans (if you live in Tucson... you know, lol) They honestly have a great staff... as a previous reviewer mentioned, they don't have prices on much of the stuff, BUT here's the rub on that. Every time I've asked for a price its been reasonable. Most people appraise these games based of pricecharting and the like, but don't consider ANY sort of grading, so the result at most stores is that you end up with low graded, high rarity games, going for way more than they should. This isn't at all what they do here. These guys do a reasonable on-the-spot grading of a game, and seem to assess value based on current sold rates and market trends for specific games. I have honestly LONG dreamt of more stores doing that. It does result in what some may see as high prices... nah. I got a 20 dollar "pricecharting special" (my term for overpriced, ungraded games) for $8 based on a REASONABLE on-the-spot grading, and on the other end, a mint Bucky O'Hare for a reasonable price, CONSIDERING ITS MINTY-FRESHNESS. They have basically anything you could want there (including tasty CIB Mega Man X3, Earthbound, TONS of others literally way too many to list...) AND MOST IMPORTANTLY... GIVE A FAIR DEAL ON TRADE INS. Y'all don't have to wonder why they have what they have (pretty much everything... (no JPN or imports... understandably!) It's as simple as THEY GIVE YOU A FAIR DEAL.

For a suprisingly good price aswell. I don't know if Sarah E. uses her eyes but the Prices are Clearly Listed. I went to their Blaine location off of 125th & Central Ave. I heard about this store when I visited…read morewith my husband regarding selling old consoles. At the time, my husband just wanted to get rid of his old console and would be happy with any amount he made. The store has a wide selection of video games for a variety of consoles. But I stopped by on a Tuesday afternoon alone with a mission: Magic the Gathering cards. I was looking for Innistrad bundle set (2021), which they did not have. The shopkeeper led me to a small section of the store and they have very limited trading card games available. They had the draft set booster for way over the market price. They had it listed for $139 when TCGPlayer has brand new, factory sealed for $78, and have median pricing ~$103. Maybe it was because I was passive or didn't do in-depth research prior, but I felt hostility from the shopkeeper - like he needed me to make a decision and buy something despite they said they didn't have the bundle set I was looking for or get out. They stood by me as I processed what I should do since they didn't have the bundle set I was looking for. I simply thanked them for their time and left.

Around 2017, I purchased several fake Gameboy Advance cartridges from this seller without being…read moreinformed that they were reproductions. To be fair, I should have been more attentive, although it's completely inappropriate to sell counterfeit cartridges as if they were legitimate retro hardware. The prices were also inflated; for example, I paid $34.99 each for two copies of Pokemon FireRed, when the going rate for an authentic, out-of-box copy at the time was about $20 (according to PriceCharting). One of the FireRed cartridges turned out to be fake and other was real. Another cartridge they sold me was Final Fantasy IV, which I later discovered was fake. Unfortunately, the FFIV cartridge doesn't save any game progress. I'm not sure if they're still selling fake GBA cartridges as authentic, and while it's possible they didn't realize the difference, it's still disappointing. They did manage to sell me an authentic copy of Castlevania Aria of Sorrow though, so it seems to be hit-or-miss. I'm still on the lookout for a reliable retro games shop in MN that sells authentic GBA cartridges. I won't be returning to this seller due to the previous disappointing experience.
