Julie immediately bonded with my child (10yrs old)who was scared to see a "talking doctor". After the very first visit my child could not wait to go back. The sessions are looked forward to by my child each week and that says tons. Julie has always presented herself as caring, kind, appropriate, empathetic, flexible and realistic. She is open to having meetings with the parents as well as in a one to one setting. She is excellent at bonding with kids. She provides proven strategies to parents and has given my child therapeutic replacement behaviors that she keeps as a list in her room. I like her, she seems cool, my kid likes her and my kids improving slowly but steadily. What more could I ask for? I don't know what Mickey went through (see his yelp review), and i am not saying it is a lie. However, I will say that I cannot see Julie doing this maliciously. I would assume she had a legal or ethical reason behind her actions. Try her out. If you don't dig her then leave.

Dr. Pollack was my doc growing up for many years. I had an extremely trying and difficult childhood and he assisted me on to my success in my adulthood. His therapy approach has always been calm and welcoming. Don't judge a doctor by a limp handshake because you had to go to one of the best doctors who couldn't accept your health insurance. Grow up and literally get some therapy, not from my doctor though ;)

Then, she dumped me as a patient under the guise of not being able to fit me in as a patient for many months, likely because she had no idea how to help me. As if that was not enough, the office over charges your credit card for more than the allowable co-payments, which is actually highly illegal in New York State. It's called the "no surprise medical bills act" and when I explained to the office manager they can't tack on extra charges to my credit card over the contracted copayment charge, she got nasty and said she'll "get back to me" and never did.
