I am a fan of Japanese snacks and candy and I saw things here I have never seen before. The owner was so friendly too. They only drawback I found was the prices were on the high side. For instance the Ramune, a Japanese soda known for their glass marble was expensive. I have found them for as low as a $1.50 a bottle in Five Below and they were selling it for $5 and $6 a bottle here. Of course they had Hello Kitty and flavors I have never seen before, where as Five Below carries the more basic flavors. I think Petezpop is more for the true collector who plans on displaying the bottles. I enjoyed checking them out though. It would be nice if they put prices and where they are from on the items. You have to ask what everything costs. If you can't make it in person they have a online store with free shipping on orders over $75.

I had always been curious about this shop and you can't really tell much about it from the outside because the windows are blacked out. In the spirit of adventure we decided to check it out. Inside the store is a welcoming room filled with all sorts of British treats. There is a frozen food section in the back with sweet and savories. Lining the shelves are baking mixes, crisps, sauces, seasonings, tea, pantry items, cookies, jellies, and British souvenirs. They had a large selection of candy for Easter and my daughter and I had fun picking out sweets to try out. Some of our selections included Cadbury Double decker, Fruit Gums, Chewits, Nestle Yorkie, Swizzles Refreshers, and Poppets! The British Depot is a family run business and we had a nice chat with Bryan who was covering the store while his daughter Chelsea was away on her honey moon. Next on our list is to investigate is the crisps with new to us flavors like prawn cocktail, marmite, and tomato ketchup. So fun!

Among their many items are costume jewelry, greeting cards, Florida souvenirs, seasonal decorations, clothing, and accessories, You can even purchase alcohol. Some of my favorite finds were the mermaid earrings, fall gnomes, and the coastal Christmas ornaments, especially the snowman made of sand because that's how we roll in South Florida. If you have a need on Clematis Street, this diverse store can probably cover it.

On the other side is a carefully curated collection of gifts and unique decorative accessories from around the world. Everything is so artfully arranged by type and color scheme. They sell holiday decorations, books, collectibles, dishes, cups, glassware, topiaries, beautifully embroidered dish towels, an assortment of napkin rings, greeting card, note cards, decorative items, glass paper weights, candles, beauty items, and more. I really loved the Palm Beach coloring book. Of course this being The Breakers, items are pricey. A single greeting card was $6. I enjoyed exploring all of the shop items after which I indulged in a croissant and coffee from the food side. You can take your food and drinks out to the Palm Court where there is beautiful landscaping, fountains, and tables and seats. You don't have to be a guest of the resort to come here. The Breakers tries to limit non resort guests during season but if you allow them to scan your license and tell the guards you are coming to eat or shop they will let you in. Guest parking is on your immediate left just after you pass the guards.
