If I could rate this place with a negative star, I would. With the capability of online ordering…read moreand the competition in the market now, you must provide customer service, good pricing and a warm welcoming place. WELL THIS IS NOT the place for any of those. Rude, Rude, Rude oh and did I mention rude. Old store with over priced appliances, oh ya, Rude too. Don't ask questions because the only person that knows maybe something will talk to from his office about items they don't have in there store. Please help Cadillac and let the other appliance stores just have the market.

NEVER WOULD HAVE HAPPENED WHEN HARVEY PELL WAS ALIVE…read more I took a GE cassette recorder here to be worked on; a $5-10 repair to a $20 item. I was told this would require a $30 prepay (more than the item was worth). I objected; the clerk copped an attitude. I asked to speak to the manager. The manager (and by now half the store staff, who came around and clucked) had an even bigger attitude, patronized me and my mother, then offered to "work with you on the deposit". NONSENSE. I reiterate: This was a $5-10 repair needed for a $20 item. We walked out and will NEVER return. My mother had recently had appliance repair work done, and was not asked for a deposit (though she did have to prepay for the part that was replaced). She knew the store's founder Harvey Pell personally, and we were neighbors with his brother Don for several years. This is not how the Pell family did business, and it is a complete shame to see what is now being done in his name. Need repairs made? Take your business elsewhere, or go buy a new one.

I scheduled a technician visit based on office communication regarding two concerns. NO work could…read morebe completed because the services were not within their scope, but I was charged for the visit. Dryer vent: I inquired about cleaning an internal vent line and was advised to schedule a visit. After the technician arrived, he explained that internal vent access is not part of their work, so nothing could be done during the appointment. Refrigerator water quality: I asked whether water quality concerns in a one-year-old refrigerator were more likely appliance-related or plumbing-related, and was advised to schedule a technician visit. After evaluating the situation, the technician recommended addressing plumbing first. The technician was professional and informative. My experience relates to office communication and clarity about service limitations, which would have helped avoid an unnecessary appointment.

The service was under my girlfriend's name, which is why it didn't come up when searching under…read moremine. After going back through all invoices, here's what happened: * Visit 1: $225 for a "drain line fix" that was never needed or actually fixed. The drain line is still set up exactly the same as when we moved in and has worked perfectly fine. We were even told to call a plumber, and the plumber confirmed there was no issue. * Same visit: $287 to replace a dryer belt (part #WE03X29897), which is a ~$10 part and a relatively quick repair. * Visit 2: After about an hour of diagnosing, the technician blew off a sensor and the washer immediately started working again. * Visit 3: After the washer was already functioning, we were then advised to replace the suspension rods ($155). Total paid was around $660. The main issue isn't just the price which is absurd for about 60-70 dollars worth of parts--it's that the problem wasn't correctly diagnosed from the start, and we were charged across multiple visits before arriving at a solution. There was also a repair performed that did not appear necessary. Being publicly called a liar instead of being asked for clarification was unprofessional, Rick. I also contacted the main office after these visits, and the pricing breakdown I shared previously came directly from them. Sharing this so others can ask more detailed questions upfront about diagnosis, pricing, and necessity of repairs.

Only five stars allowed? After being without an oven since…read moreNovember, we were THRILLED when our new range arrived. Since it is a dual fuel - gas on top and an electric oven - plus a downdraft, few installers can tackle a task like that. Dan arrived within only two days, and has installed lots of dual fuels and downdrafts before. He was polite, efficient, kept asking me if I had any questions, and cleaned up when he was done, including the removal of my old sweetheart. May she rest in peace. Call 231-652-0372 to get it done right!

My dryer stopped working and was 18 years old so was on fence about repairing or replacing. Dryer…read moreworked when I held the start button in so was hoping was a minor fix. I called Dadd's and told him age of the dryer and he strongly encouraged a repair. He said it could be as low as $130 for a minor repair or $200 at most. He said it was $90 for diagnostic and no charge for travel. He came out 2 days later and was 3 hours into his arrival window. After no more than 5 minutes he said I had a busted belt and I was happy thinking I'd be on the low end of his service charge. He didn't say anything further and took dryer apart to replace it. After a couple of belts he did find one that fit and installed it and then announced my bill was $200. I was a little surprised cuz the work he did couldn't have taken more than 15 minutes and he'd told me on the phone he billed for labor by the quarter hour and didn't know why this small job wouldn't qualify for the $130 price he quoted me on the phone for something that took about 15 minutes! I let him know I wasn't thrilled and he started quoting other places that were allegedly much higher for just a service call instead of explaining his pricing. He never even offered me an itemized bill either showing exactly how he justified that price either! In retrospect I should have demanded one. I thought all professionals would do that for repairs! He didn't even offer a receipt either although I did pay with a check. I thought he was a little unscrupulous quoting me $70 cheaper on the phone than what he charged when the work was done--especially when I would have been hesitant to put $200 dollars more into that old of a dryer--and he was aware of the age of my dryer! I also looked up the serial # of my belt and it was only $10 on Amazon--so if was $90 for diagnostic and $10 for belt he charged me $100 for 15 minutes of work! I would not recommend this company.

I will never have my appliances service by anybody but them. I had an issue with the Frigidaire…read morestove I bought at Lowe's. I called Frigidaire they set up an appointment but they said call TRI Lakes appliance repair. I called and spoke with Tammy, there she actually got me in two days earlier for the repair. She was extremely helpful in setting up the appointment and making sure that she had the information so that it would be only one time I gave her the model and serial number. She is responded back to my emails even if it's at 7:00 or 8:00 at night. They set up the appointment with Brian. Brian came out with all the parts necessary to repair it but the number for the some of the parts were not even in Frigidaire system yet he put in the ones that it showed going in there but they did not work because Frigidaire had not the updated parts for the new model. Brian walked me through the process for getting Frigidaire all the information needed for this to be completed. Brian called it the day before to confirm appointment and said he would be out later in the afternoon to make sure the parts came in for my new Frigidaire oven. The parts came in but he came early when he got the parts and it said a 5:00 came at like 3:00 and called me on the way. Great guy. Both Brian and Tammy help me with Frigidaire and getting and taking care of my oven and warranty issues. This is a great company great customer service, great service people. I wish all the companies I ever worked with or as good as them. I lived in a 40 unit condo complex and was the board president and head of Maintenance. If all my vendors were as good as them my life would have been easy. I don't know what more to say again great company great service and knowledgeable
