The first one left me with a spinal fluid leak (soaking the bed sheets with spinal fluid!) which required another surgery to repair it. This one one gave me a septic infection which put me in the ICU where my wife was told that I probably would not be going home. The wonderful hospital doctor ordered the swollen, infected area around my incision to be aspirated and tested to prove surgical infection. Before the team came to perform the aspiration procedure, Mesiwala came in and quickly ordered another nurse to administer an IV antibiotic (while he stood by and anxiously watched). This would make all of the infection tests from the surgical site come back negative. The hospital doctor on my case who ordered the test was furious about this cover-up antibiotic maneuver. She was very frank with me and said she "was shocked that he was still allowed to practice medicine but said it wouldn't go on for long." That was 18 years ago. Prior to the first surgery, a very well-known neurologist told me that Dr. Mesiwala "Has very poor judgment." A very strong statement from one MD against another, which I wish I had taken seriously. After my disastrous and nearly fatal experience, he suggested I get a lawyer and had his secretary give me the lawyer's phone number. He was on the medical board and wanted to use my case for more evidence to have Mesiwala's license revoked. I was too sick to deal with it and foolishly did not follow up. Also, prior to my surgery, even my home health nurse asked if I had done any research on Dr. Mesiwala. He then told me about the TV exposé on Dr. Mesiwala and the US Department of Justice Enterprise Corruption case for pushing a company's spinal implants after being given part of the company which made them. This is a Federal crime. I blame myself for not heeding the warnings. That's why I'm posting this for others. Now from the public record: Frequent Malpractice Lawsuits, Repeated Fraud, Medical Board Disciplinary Actions for Negligence, and a D.O.J. Racketeering investigation. Since my dr office wasn't much help. I'm so glad I went to FSA! The office staff was so kind and helpful. Nancy measured me for compression stockings even tho I'm not their patient....(yet). She also helped me by looking online to find a "silk foot glider", to make it easier to put on my compression stockings. As I went up front to pay for them, Maribel took care of me. i started asking questions, and she was so helpful and knowledgeable! I feel so much more informed. My own vascular surgeons office, knows nothing! No resources either. They just tell me to go online and order knee highs. But on doing research and speaking with FSA, Thigh high compression is needed, since the procedure I had went all the way up my leg. Maribel is checking to see if my current medical group will let me come there to FSA moving forward. She will let me know.

When asked to pay my copay I had informed the receptionist's that I had forgotten my wallet and had asked if they had my credit card information on file. After they had explained to me that they don't keep that kind of information on file, I had politely asked if they could possibly bill us or if my wife could come by after work and pay it. Apparently my sick children are not a concern of theirs. I had to leave without getting treatment for my daughters. Needless to say "YOUR FIRED"!!!!!!!!
