Went to an estate sale in Rocklin. After waiting for 15 min was told I had to be on a list. Put my name on list and as person in charge droned on about all her rules people started leaving. 20 minutes in and maybe 7 people were let in. Sad when you can't let adults be adults and walk through a house. I'll be avoiding this company's estate sales in the future. By 11:20 at least 12 of us left and said not worth it. This company has been running an estate sale on my street for a week and it's like having some kind of dumpster fire eternal flame in my neighborhood. First, the woman running it, an older blonde woman had some sort of yelling altercation with a man as they were setting up at 7:15 IN THE MORNING. I wondered what was happening, then saw her placing the estate signs everywhere for the next few days. Super classy and professional. Next, I decided, okay I'll check it out. I went in and it's just chaos. Including someone microwaving something heinous. A full sensory experience, you could say. Finally, after many days of Sacramento's most charming bargain hunters double-parked on my street, cluelessly looking at their phones while almost mowing down kids on bikes, I can say that I'm done. I had never been to an estate sale, being new to Lincoln Sun City I decided to stop by the estate sale this weekend. It was fantastic! Everything was clearly marked. It was comfortable and organized.. I came back on the last day and got a great deal on a beautiful leather chair, some adorable glasses. I bought some beautiful Italian ceramic serving dishes... Went to an estate sale today in Rocklin. Because it was first day of estate sale I found the list which was right there on a table. The rules were told to the crowd then they let 10 people in, I waited about 5 minutes and I was let in with the next group of 10. Sad when adults can't be patient and wait their turn and realize there is only so much room and staff to make sure stuff isn't stolen and this process is repeated by pretty much every estate company in the area. Sale was organized and fairly priced. I will be attending this company's estate sales in the future. read more

I went on the day it opened and on the day that it ended and was able to score some great deals on the last day. Attended a recent sale hosted by Adrienne of Levy Estate Services. In fact, I had such a good time that I attended the same sale three times. I felt comfortable and welcomed each time. Very rude to customers. Most things priced over retail. Items without price tags are assigned prices arbitrarily and inconsistently. Late starting, unprepared and chaotic. Has unreasonable guidelines on how many people can be in any one space at one time despite everyone being inside the home, only 2 people in the bedroom or outside etc. The cherry on top is the owner actually soliciting favorable Yelp reviews. There are many great estate sale businesses in the Sacramento area, this is not one of them. read more

You will have people going through all the items in the house. Items will walk right out the door unaccounted for. Adrienn is still sitting at the kitchen table. There will be two to three dudes there, wearing sleeveless shirts taing apart everything that is bolted together, and setting it aside, as "Claimed", or "Already sold". Go to your family's estate sale and watch it all unfold before your eyes, you will be utterly confounded at what you see. You will have uneasy feeling inside, as if something is not right here. People will be coming and going with your families stuff. When it is all said and done, you will receive a check in the amount of roughly 5500, and Adrienne, still sitting at the kitcHen table will be receiving a check for roughly 7000. You will be wondering about the other 25000 in stuff that walked right out the door, right before your eyes, and there's not a damn thing you can do about it. If you are a family-this business seems to purposefully deter buyers. I made an appt. for an "appointment only" sale today. The address was supposed to be sent to me two hours before my appt. time, and it wasn't. After waiting a half hour and checking my phone and email numerous times, I called. Instead of just telling me the address, they said they would text it to me in 30 seconds. They didn't. So I called again 5 minutes later- straight to voice mail. I explained that I was coming from about an hour away, and I needed the address now so I could make my appt. on time. Instead of responding to my message right away, they ignored it. I went out and did other shopping instead. I ended up receiving and email with the address 20 minutes before my appt-but who checks their emails while they are out? I rearranged my entire schedule for today based on this "appointment"-and that included finding someone to come and watch my 2 adult special needs children for me. I also spent an hour pouring over the photos they had online and doing my pre-research before I went, as I usually do before large estate sales. I am a reseller. They wasted my time, they seriously inconvenienced me, and worst of all, they deterred a good buyer who had $500 cash burning a hole in her pocket. I was working on a home estate cleanup project with Adrienne and she completely blew me off. Ghosted. We had a time scheduled to meet and she never showed up. On the one hand, I was able to find someone else to do the work and they did an excellent job, however, Adrienne ghosting me was inexcusable. I am flexible and if had told me that she did not want the job, I would have been OK. I know she is busy but I do not believe Adrienne to be dependable. Went to an estate sale yesterday located in Carmichael. When we approached, there were signs on the table. I took the time to read the signs and there was one sign that popped out at me. " There's no discount within the first few hours of the sale. feel free to Bundle and we will give you the best price. But if you ask for discounts, you shouldn't be here as you are too cheap. if you feel offended by this, then this applies to you" . Wow! Good lord , didn't even enter the property yet and it already had that vibe to it. We went inside the property , great items , reasonable prices . There was a section for "silver" "collectible" items. Now, there has been a ton of people that walked through this section without issues. Once we walked in, the rudest employee shouted " NO! Only one person at a time! You stay out there. Where's the employee that should be here? they don't know how to follow instructions" . NOT ONE SIGN OR PERSON WAS THERE TO SAY ONLY 1 PERSON ALLOWED. Please note that this was around 2pm. The sale had started at 9am already. We felt the vibe and left! All our items we wanted to buy, we put it back where we found it and left! Customer Service gets a 0. Please do better and treat everyone with equality and be professional. read more

All the Levy people that came into the house were very professional and knew what needed to be done to get everything ready to sell. We contacted Adrienne, she came to visit and look around and was certain our estate would do $40-$50k. We set a date which was a month away and she assured us she would be back to stage everything and get it all sorted and set up. She did come back a couple of times but not when she told us she would be there. A couple of days before sale time she did come and get things sorted but nothing was marked, and no lists were made as to what we had to sell. I should have made a list myself but I didn't assuming she would have an inventory list so she could keep track of items that were sold and the prices they were sold for. That did not happen. Also my family and I ended up cleaning and moving items from the basement and a garden shed, we had the house cleaned out. We had most of the hard work done before sale time which saved her lots of time and labor. She would not have had it ready by sale day if we hadn't done so much of the moving, sorting and cleaning out. The paperwork I received after the sale had no item descriptions only how many items were sold and a price written beside it. I have no way of knowing what sold for what price. I wanted to see what was sold and what it brought!! Another problem I found was that buyers were walking around looking for someone to ask questions and someone to pay for the items they wanted to buy. I do not know to this day how much stuff was carried off without being paid for. On a good note, her 'helpers' were great, they worked very hard. I appreciated all of them. Adrienne is very knowledgeable about antiques and other items. If she doesn't know what an item will/should bring She will research to find out. She's tough with the customers that try to talk her down on prices. I cannot recommend Levy Estate Services for an estate liquidation. There's just too much that was unacceptable about the way she handled our sale, before and after. read more

I go to several estate sales a week and I have to say Levy went from one of the worst estate sale companies to one of the best. Her prices are more than fair and I'm a reseller, she also doesn't give stuff away like other companies do because of their lack of knowledge, good for the family. My father, grandfather and myself went to the estate sale in Orangevale (8/8) and we looked around and my dad asked the price of a lamp to which she responded $10 and said it was $20 yesterday. She then proceeded to say everything was half off. My grandpa looked at clothing and picked out a pair of used Levi jeans, marked $20 so according to her own words, would've been $10. My issue is not prices, my issue is how she talked to my grandfather. He was quiet and he simply started to hand her money based on her "half off" comment. When he started to put the items down, still not saying anything, she started to raise her voice and said that she wouldn't be willing to sell to him if he wouldn't negotiate. What is there to negotiate when she had already said half off? I simply said that he was shopping based on her half off comment and then she said "well you misunderstood. Certain things are half off". She told the other girl working with her to tell people that things were half off as well and there was no "but". It's just absurd that someone can raise their voice to someone who wasn't even talking at the time. I wouldn't use or recommend this company to anyone and my family definitely would not use this service. I was floored. We are not unreasonable people, he's 78 years old and likes to yard sale. Being unprofessional and rude is not the way to run business. As I said before, this isn't a matter of prices. This is a matter of respect and professionalism. read more

Unfortunately I found this business to not be forthcoming about their views on COVID restrictions (or lack thereof) and in addition they were extremely rude and unprofessional about it. I do not usually take the time to write reviews however I can't remain silent on my experience with Levy Estate Services. I attended an estate today where at least 2 employees were not wearing masks and I simply asked "I am curious why you are not wearing a mask?" My conversation began with a younger woman who said "masks are optional" but that she would put hers on for me if I wanted her to. I indicated I thought they were required and that yes, I would like for her to put on her mask for everyone, not just me. After all, I was wearing one for her. This was done in a quiet and respectful manner by us both, I thought. I was really not trying to make a big deal out of it. Had I known this was their protocol I simply would not attend. Their listing did say "Please ¬¬wear masks". Apparently I mis-interpreted this to mean they were following all common precautions, and at least employees would be wearing masks. That is their business decision and their prerogative not to have more stringent rules, however, this should be clearly stated in their listing and at the entrance of the sale. I would have made MY choice then not to enter. I am trying to support local businesses where I can avoid crowds (I went when they were not busy) and where I believe they are at least wearing masks and social distancing. Secondly, this all turned into a personal attack and 'ugly' when a more senior female employee asked what was going on. This is where she became very rude, trying to 'shame ME' since I was trying to be there in the first place since I indicated I did wish they were wear masks?! She also apparently had me confused with someone else saying she recognized me from another one of her sales, which is impossible, as this was my first day ever trying to attend an Estate Sale in the Sacramento area. So I just left, there was no point being on the receiving end of her mis-directed tyrant. It was a real shame I could not make the large purchases I was planning to make after this interaction. We obviously all have different views and beliefs on this virus based on our experiences. Being a physician my knowledge and ongoing experiences with covid are understandably very different than this employee's personal experiences, but that does not excuse rudeness. read more

Astronomical pricing, two sometimes three times retail pricing. Totally missed the concept of a estate sale. People go to estate sales for deals on items, not to pay higher prices than what they can purchase online. Word of advise shoppers, if you find yourself at an estate sale and the people running it pull up their phone and start looking up prices online, Run out! Levy Estates Services is a horrific example of unethical greed. As a trustee for a family estate it was necessary to contract with many companies to fulfill my fiduciary responsibility to the heirs. This was the ONLY contracted business that I sorely regretted. In retrospect I would've had a one day garage sale and donated everything to charity. I love going to estate sales but i would say levy is the worst in the Sacramento Area, would not recommend anyone let them sell there family's items or buy from them. Adrienne, I believe the owner is very rude and lacks customer service. I have encountered her many times and everytime she has treated me and the people I am with, poorly and speaks to you like you're stupid, not to mention the staff working that are being yelled at. She will not negotiate with you even on a Sunday the last day of the sale. If you do try she will be-little you and call you cheap for trying to negotiate.
