So much fun! This place is for treasure hunters who don't mind sifting through used items in bins…read more If you love the thrill of the hunt, this place is for you! You definitely need time to kill and openness to see something you might like. My parents and I have been here a few times. At first my mom was skeptical but now she gets excited to go. We've gotten a variety of clothes, toys, stationary, and household items. With some persistence and luck, you can find some pretty awesome brand names. I've seen brands like Nike, Adidas, Bench, Helly Hansen, North Face, Victoria Secret, Zara, True Religion, as well as brands from Aritzia and Anthropologie. I've also found some great Paw Patrol, Fisher Price, Leap Frog and Disney toys here. Items vary in condition from like new to very worn out. In general I have found most of the items to be visibly clean and without any bad odors. The other thrifters can get quite focused and somewhat aggressive when it comes to being first to pick from the newly stocked bins. The staff roll the bins in from the stockroom and into these allotted "parking"' spaces in the main room. You can gather around the newly brought in bins but the staff will indicate when you are able to dig into the items. Until you hear the go ahead, you are definitely not allowed to touch. After the initial rush, most shoppers abandon the bins and you are free to go through the bins at your leisure. You learn quickly where the new bins are coming in. It's pretty obvious when you see a group of people gathered around an empty space or full bin ready to pounce. They have large metal shopping carts but you are to leave these at the perimeter of the store. You are not allowed to bring these alongside of the bins. It makes me nervous to leave my treasures unattended on the sides of the store. They also have smaller black plastic shopping baskets on wheels which you can bring with you to the bins. This is definitely a unique thrift shopping experience. I joke it's like one step above dumpster diving. It's also a lot cheaper than going to a regular Goodwill store. When it's time to pay you roll your cart over this scale that's built into the floor. You pay by the pound. The cashier will then tell you what you owe. Don't get nervous because it's really cheap. I've paid $17-$22 for an overflowing basket of items. You can definitely get a big bang for your buck if you know what to get. I recommend bringing a garbage bag or large reusable bag to carry your purchased items home.

Yes there were a few red flags but majority of my visit to this location was okay. one other thing it is very difficult to identify who is an employee due to the employees not having name tags. Note: i couldn't find the actual store to review

The staff is on top of cleaning up things and keeping the floors clean from all the mud that comes on the shoes from off the street. My only complaint is that I feel there could be a better selection of stores and options. Some of the stores though offer good pricing and good discounts. I will continue to shop here and hope that they get a better selection in the future.

Areas of interest are well marked. I feel the store space is too big for the contents. It can get eerie quiet. All the expensive brand names can be found here. I looked at a touque - 70 dollars on sale. I looked at a duffel bag - 350 dollars on sale. I tried on yoga pants that I eventually left the store with for under 30 dollars at an 80 percent discount. Most of the stores sale prices are still a bit too high for me to justify. But Off Saks is known for bringing the incredibly expensive consumables to your fingertips. There is a bathroom if you need it. There is plenty of parking available right outside the door. A seasonal trolly can take you here too. Shoes? Yes. Up to women's size 11 (although I did see one size 12!) and men's size 13. Their kids section is also well stocked with high end options. So, I am personally luke warm on this store in general. However, my in-laws could not be more obsessed. They come here when they can. If I had the option to bump this review up a half star just based on their enthusiasm, I would.

Looks like there was effort made to decorate and make it feel less like an outlet/warehouse type shop. It's well organized and spacious between racks. Plenty of middle-high to high end brands. There are shopping carts available (haven't seen many people using them and don't imagine they would unless they were filthy rich). Service is okay, it's not like they go out of their way to enhance your shopping experience like their parent store would. Change rooms are standard & uses heavy draping as change room doors. Considering that this is a discount spin off of their chain's actual department store, prices for stuff is not comparable to discount stores in the city; like Marshall's or winners or even American outlets for that matter ($169 CAD for true religion jeans when American outlet true religion stores carry jeans for around $99 USD. Children's hunter boot liners for $30, but similar selection at winners for $16). If you want luxe, but don't want to rifle through mid-lower end items, then this the place for you... Personally, I think that the selection is good, but discounts are not ...their price range is similar to going to the Bay on one of their weekly sales, so it's a deal but not a steal. Their clearance racks do have a few good bargains, but it's mostly off season merchandise.

I had ordered about $200 of clothes online for the kids for Christmas in November. Upon my daughter unwrapping one of the items, we discovered that the security tag was on the item DESPITE it being an item mailed to us from shopping online. I came in to the store and asked to have the security tag removed from my online order. The look and treatment we were given, was quite disappointing. Almost as though we were being accused of shoplifting. The woman (who I believe to have been a shift supervisor or manager) was quite harsh in tone and said repeatedly that they wouldn't take it off without the receipt. I suggested to her that we call the Gap 1-800 number so they could look up my order and confirm to her that I had paid because I had long ago recycled all the packaging/invoice in November. Eventually she agreed to just take the tag off, I guess she didn't want to call the 1-800 number but the treatment we received and the tone that we were spoken to was quite disappointing. We had planned on buying some other stuff there that day but my husband was having none of that after our experience. So we walked just around the block to Osh Kosh Carters and Justice and happily boxing day shopped there. This most recent experience would be a 2 star for sure but I'll still give it a 3 overall.
