Imagine getting off an 8 hour flight to find out that your luggage (with ALL your clothing) is lost and all you have is the clothing on your back? It's worse when the only clothes on your back are a long sleeved t-shirt and skinny-turned-saggy sweatpants.
And nothing fit me right anywhere. Sorry, "painted on jeans" from Topman are a no-no for anyone, and less-than-smart jeans at H&M and Zara were not appropriate for the situation. I spent a good chunk of my time in Ireland crying over having to buy all new clothes, especially considering the fashionable choices that needed to be made the rest of the week. After reluctantly buying an ill-fitting pair of jeans at Topman I say a beacon of hope in front of me: a Levi's store.
My favorite thing about Levi's is that I know exactly my size, exactly my fit, and I know it will look good. The ladies in the store on Saturday helped me out and even found me a fit that looks much better on my body. The length was a little long and, although I had no time to do a same-day or overnight tailoring job because I needed jeans, I was told I could bring them into the store any time while I was in Dublin.
And so I did! After two days of good use traveling around Ireland, hitting up pubs and walking all along the Cliffs of Moher, I took them in to get the length shortened a couple inches. I came in a little stressed because of the timing of my departure the next day and have to give a shout out to Megan (and her team) for understanding my pain, turning the tailoring around quickly and calling me to let me know they were done.
I am so glad I returned those painted-on jeans.
Levi's was my savior, my love, my everything during a time of need. read more
