I was in Savannah last weekend for a wedding (Black…read moreTie) and realized I was missing my cuff-links and studs for my tuxedo shirt 30 minutes before the ceremony was to begin. A quick call from the hotel boutique confirmed they had what I needed and a short while later, I was greeted by Kieffer Parker, who I assume is the owner. He ushered me right in, produced a large box of "hardware" to choose from and within 5 minutes I was properly cuffed and buttoned and on my way to the wedding ceremony. While I know these are not high value items, he would not take any money and was just happy to know he saved the day for me. This northerner was the recipient of some serious southern hospitality. Thank you Kieffer. Keep up the great work!

My wife especially loved it there were plenty of unique pieces and thoughtful displays that made it feel more personal than a typical retail stop. Savannah boutique vibe that fits perfectly with the surrounding historic district.

Den's is a local men's store supplying "urban" fashions--from everyday stuff to suits--aimed at…read moreAfrican-American customers. Most of their inventory is things like Phat Farm FUBU, and other popular brands of clothing but also a good selection of men's and boy's suits. The reason however that I became a customer was that they carried also a good selection of sneakers, including Converse hi-tops in all kinds of colors and in half-sizes. They also carry Puma, adidas, old-skool New Balance and other popular brands, but little in the way of Nikes. But the Converse were the best part: where else would you find bright pink or green Chucks in like a size 101/2 or 11? Interestingly, despite catering to a mainly African-American customer base, Den himself is Indian and there is another store further down Broughton Street also apparently owned by an Indian gentleman. How Indian immigrants got into selling urban fashion is beyond me but I have to wonder why you don't see these types of businesses owned instead by Black citizens as they seem to make a good profit. That's nothing against Den, he is a nice guy, but it seems odd these stores are not owned by members of the community they serve.

I passed by staff and one walked past me. One staff member was low key staring when we exited the store. Idk, we didn't feel welcomed, didn't wanna shop there. Went around the corner and found a similar shop with much better service! Some will say it's ridiculous to not want to shop because we're not being greeted, however, being acknowledged feels like the minimum. Say shoplifting is an issue since it's right off the street, in my years of retail we were advised to give extra service to those we suspect - ask open ended questions, offer a basket, make small conversation and help them at the register. If you were wrong, the customer got good service and will recommend to others. If you were right, you detered theft. Seems simple enough! The store is big with quite a few selection, but if you miss this one, there's def more that have the same items.

It's a small spot with loud music, which kinda was overwhelming, and the people that were working were a bit abrasive. My girlfriend and I both agreed about the one worker being too much in our business- we just wanted to roam around and look, but it kinda made us wanna get out of there quicker than we would have, had we had the time to just look on our own. The person kinda pushed to get us a fitting room, which we didn't need- I was afraid to hold anything up from the rack to look at, because I didn't want a fitting room. They have lots of cool things in there, but also very pricey. $150 for a windbreaker suit? Not today. We went to the shop a couple doors down where they let us free roam and the prices were WAY more reasonable. We were happy to check it out, but would not go visit again. Maybe this is the "Geriatric Millennial" in me, but give me my space to look and on top of that, don't charge over $100 for a windbreaker suit.
