Months later, the deck was still getting stain all over our feet, but the previous company kept telling us that was normal. (It wasn't.) I reached out to the company that produces the stain (Expert Stain and Seal) and they recommended Justen at Making all Things New Deck & Fence Care. He came out to our house and walked me through what needed to be done to fix it and encouraged me to reach out to the other company with that information. The other company completely ignored us and after a week of trying to contact them we gave up. Justen then came and fixed our deck by completely removing the previous stain, cleaned the deck, and sanded and stained it for us. The kicker is that he did this completely free of charge for us. (And Expert Stain and Seal also provided the stain, free of charge as well.) I am blown away by his kindness and expertise. When I walked in, I wasn't sure if they were actually still in business or if the shop was just a place to store their construction stuff. These guys are OLD SCHOOL!!! The son took my name and what i was looking for on a writing pad after I looked at the fabric book and explained what I was looking for. Jr kept trying to steer me to a black awning (which I was considering) but then I saw the Black cherry. He said his Dad would get back to me and off I went. Crickets for three days. Back in I went. The Dad didn't know anything about me but we found the notepad. He came out to look at the house, my awning frame, and gave me a ballpark quote and said they were a little backed up but could do it. The next afternoon, I went out and the frame was gone!!! Didn't even hear them!! Within 8 days, I got a call about the trim color confirmation. Two days after that, MY AWNING WAS HERE!!! Once again, didn't hear them come out and install it!! They repainted the frame. The color and trim are perfect!! AND it was all done within 2 weeks!!!! How is that backlogged????
